Monroe PD Report: Dogs, snake and 3-year-old stuck in wood line when retrieving his cat

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 13 – 19, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, Mill Creek Way, complainant advised a neighbor name given has made verbal threats towards her. She advised that she wanted to make neighbor aware. She was advised of civil remedies. Report Taken.
  • Burglary, Edwards St., complainant advised he recently bought this house and multiple tools have disappeared. He just wanted to file a report in case the tools showed up at a pawn shop. Report taken.
  • Assault, Ford St., the complainant stated that she observed a male subject chase and assault a female. The female turned out to be known. Both parties were gone when officers arrived.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Broad St., reference to a silver vehicle with no tag in the area. A silver Honda Civic with no tag was located parked on private property. Vehicle was never seen on a public roadway.
  • Citizen Flag Down at Peters and Foster, complainant advised she won a lot of money on a lottery ticket and the clerk ripped her ticket and stated she had not won. The incident occurred in Gwinnett County. She was advised to file a report with GCPD
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Creek Circle, reference to a go-kart. Officer checked the area and located a male subject with two go-karts behind a house on Kendall Court. The subject stated he was working on the go-karts, He was advised not to ride in the roadway.
  • Transport, South Madison Ave., reference to transporting a subject to the Salvation Army for FISH. Walton County Sheriff’s Office was notified.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Highway 11 headed toward Monroe in reference to a white Dodge Dakota driven by an intoxicated male. Officer had negative contact.
  • Dispute, South Madison Ave., reference to subject on location causing a disturbance. The subject was gone when officers arrived.
  • Entering Auto, Southview Dr., reference to a White Honda being entered during the night. Complainant advised someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole approximately $60 dollars and his Citalopram medication. Requested an incident to get a prescription refilled.
  • Fraud report taken at MPD, the complainant advised someone placed an order on his iTunes account.
  • Suspicious Person, Davis St., complainant advised an unknown black male walked over to her house and made lewd comments. She pointed out male subject on Davis St., an officer made contact with the subject and he advised he would not say anything else. All ok.
  • Met with Officer at Walton County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a missing subject. The missing subject was taken to Piedmont over the weekend for a mental evaluation.
  • Juvenile Complaint, S. Madison Ave., reference to complainant’s 3-year-old grandson getting stuck in the wood line trying to get his cat, the juvenile could not get out of the wood line. Juvenile was retrieved from the woods and turned over to complainant without incident, everything on location ok.
  • Firearms Complaint, Wheel House Lane, reference to shots fired in the playground area, area check conducted with negative contact. Everything on location ok.
  • EMS Assist, North Broad St., reference to a subject having shortness of breath, the subject was transported to Piedmont Walton, everything on location ok.
  • Firearms Complaint, East Marable St., Negative contact with any firearms being discharged.
  • Intoxicated Person, MLK Jr Blvd – Apple Bee’s, customer on location, intoxicated after six drinks.  His son was called to pick him up.  A black ford F-150 will be left on location.
  • Domestic Dispute, 6th St., reference to juvenile son assaulting his mother and her boyfriend. The juvenile was arrested for family violence battery, aggravated assault, and criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree, he was transported to Marietta Youth Detention facility and turned over to the staff without incident. Report taken
  • Firearms Complaint, Harris St/Davis St., Negative contact with anyone shooting in the area.
  • Assault, West Spring St., reference to complainant having her foot run over by named subject.  Complainant did not want to press charges and requested a report only.
  • Suspicious Person, West Creek Circle, Negative contact with anyone knocking on doors at this location.
  • Dispute, Green St., mother said her son was disputing with family members on location.  He left prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Theft/Trespass, Hubbard St., Horace Lee Ashe was arrested for disorderly conduct during a theft investigation involving gasoline.  He was issued a criminal trespass warning to stay away from address on Hubbard Street.
  • Escort, Captain D’s, reference to the female staff wanting an officer to stand by while they left the store for the night.
  • Gunshot, Davis St., made contact with the residence who stated no one called the police and everyone on location was ok.
  • Theft, Sporty Lane, reference to items being taken out the backyard by an unknown suspect.
  • Gunshot, Davis St., reference to male subject laying in the road with a BB wound in his head. Transported to Piedmont by EMS.
  • Welfare Check, North Broad St., Deer Acres Inn, reference to a female subject who told complainant she was at a motel in Monroe and her boyfriend had a gun. Deer Acres Inn and Monroe Motor Inn checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., reference to male subject upset he was not getting the BB taken out of his head when he wanted it done. Calmed him down and the hospital staff retrained him.
  • Dispute, Mobley Circle, reference to complainant arguing with her roommate about rent money, the roommate was gone when officers arthe rived, complainant was advised of the civil process.
  • 911 Hang up, Atha St., reference to Jeffery Griffith and female subject arguing over a title to one of their vehicles. No claim of family violence. Griffith arrested for warrants from Rockdale and Newton County.
  • Dispute, Magnolia Terrace, complainant arguing with his 16-year-old stepson. The stepson was gone when officers arrived. All ok. Another subject also left the area on Magnolia Terrace upon Officer arrival.
  • Juvenile Complaint, East Marable St., reference to a juvenile refusing to go to school. The complainant called back and canceled prior to Officer arrival.
  • Road Rage, Highway 138/Highway 78, reference to a silver Honda brake checking the complainant. Officer had negative contact.
  • Meet with Officer, Tanglewood Dr., Officer met with caller, reference to now having a VIN issued and attached to his trailer. All ok.
  • Dispute, East Church St., the complainant advised a female subject pulled a gun on her. The incident occurred in the county. WCSO was notified.
  • Welfare Check, Sweetgum Dr., reference to making contact with the subject. All ok.
  • Dispute, Mobley Circle, reference to two subjects disputing. Report taken.
  • Dispute, South Broad St., complainant advised that an unknown member of the Monroe Church of God has been saying mean things to her and she did not appreciate it. The complainant was advised of remedies.
  • Met with Subject at Eagles Trail, subject requested to meet with an Officer regarding a burglary report and stated the suspects were on Sporty Lane but could not ID the individuals as the actual suspects. The complainant was upset at the officer and advised there wasn’t enough evidence to prove anything as them being the suspects.
  • Theft Report, South Broad St., complainant advised named subject and his mother had possession of her phone and was refusing to return it.
  • Warrant Served, Sorrells St., Booth Dr., Jaborial Morton was arrested for a MPD warrant. Morton was taken into custody and fingerprinted at MPD. He was then transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Scam Report, Springer Lane, complainant advised he received a phone call from the IRS advising he would have a warrant for his arrest if he did not pay a certain fee. Complainant wanted to advise local authorities.
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy St., reference to Demario Sorrells on location with a probation violation warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Lacy St., reference to a black Jeep in the area. Negative contact.
  • Harassment, South Broad St., Reliable Finance, reference to an unknown subject calling and harassing employees on location.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, McDaniel St., reference to a Scooter in the roadway. All ok.
  • Lost Item, South Broad St. (MPD). Complainant advised he lost his wallet either at Taco Bell or while jogging this date. Report taken.
  • Wanted Person at City Hall. Jasper Still on location with an active probation violation warrant. Jasper was arrested and transported to Walton County Jail.
  • Traffic Stop, Highway 78 West, reference to Kymani Findlay traveling 82mph. Subject arrested for driving while unlicensed and released after being fingerprinted.
  • Assault Report, South Madison Ave., reference to a female subject reporting a guy by the name given used to stalk her and wanted to report a possible sexual assault that occurred in 2007. Subject has a history of mental illness.  Report taken.
  • Suspicious Persons, Tanglewood Dr., Crowd in the roadway.  A large crowd was in two yards on Tanglewood Drive, but not in the roadway.  The crowd was dispersed.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Glenn Iris Dr., reference to complainant’s 12-year-old cousins locking her out of the house, the complainant was let in the house prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Traffic Stop, Tanglewood Dr., reference to running tag # and the owner Anthony Crumsby came with a probation violation.  Determined that the owner was driving the vehicle and stopped it.  Arrested Crumsby for the probation violation warrant and turned over to Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hwy 138, a white Honda Accord failing to maintain lane – Observed no violations as the vehicle passed through Monroe.
  • Animal Complaint, West Spring St., reference to two dogs walking in the area. Checked animals and all ok.
  • Burglary, West Marable St., reference to a broken window and attempted entry. Khadedra Lee arrested for an unrelated warrant out of Gwinnett County.
  • Animal Complaint, Alcovy St., reference to a snake handled by Animal Control
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Felker Park, reference to a gold in color Dodge Dart parked in the parking lot, two subjects stated they were on location due to the fact $20 was stolen from a female subject, she stated her cousin stole the money from her and was going to return it to her at the park. I advised them the park is closed after dark and asked if she wanted a report for the stolen cash. Female subject declined a report at this time.
  • Dispute, Atha St., reference to male and female having a verbal argument, the situation was mediated everything on location ok. Report taken
  • Follow Up, Atha St., reference to the two subjects from above call continuing to dispute, the situation was mediated. Everything on location ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East Spring St./Hwy 78 ramp – driver stopped to use his cell phone.  All appeared okay.
  • Follow Up, Atha St., reference to same two subjects from above calls continuing to dispute, the situation was mediated, parties were separated. Female subject went to stay with her daughter, both parties were advised of remedies.
  • Domestic Dispute, Davis St., reference to Bianka Jones and male subject disputing, Bianka Jones struck male subject in the chin with a metal pipe causing a deep cut, male subject declined EMS. Bianka Jones was placed under arrest for family violence battery, she was transported to the city of Monroe Police Department to be fingerprinted. Bianka Jones was then transported to the Walton County Jail and turned over to the Jail staff without incident. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Wellington Lane, reference to a vehicle driving without headlights. Checked area with negative contact.
