Monroe PD Report: Man allegedly shoplifts candy bar before driving off with gas pump nozzle and hose

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 8 – 15, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Transport West Spring St., reference to Clearview calling wanting Officers to transport patient back to Ridgeview due to Ridgeview stating it was over an hour before he would be picked up. Patient was given a ride to Ridgeview.
  • Suspicious Person Felker Park, reference to a black female crying and asking for a ride home.  Officer checked the area and had negative contact with said female.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Hwy 78 near Hwy 11, reference to a semi going east bound on the west bound side. Negative contact.
  • Traffic Stop 300 Double Springs Church Road at Monroe Area High School. Jacob Squire was arrested for reckless driving. He was transported to the Walton County Jail without incident or injury.
  • Juvenile Complainant Baron Dr., reference to female refusing to go to school. Mother advised her 15-year-old daughter was refusing to go to school. Daughter stated she was not refusing to go to school, she just missed the bus and had someone en-route to pick her up. She stated she did not want to ride with her mom’s friends because she did not feel safe around them. Juvenile was picked up and taken to school.
  • Dispute Alcovy Street. Mother verbally disputing with her daughter and wanting her to leave. Daughter was intoxicated and was escorted to her residence next door. Parties separated.
  • Fraud North Broad Street at Dickinson and Willis Law Firm. Complainant stated that on March 9, 2018 during a closing it was discovered that the seller involved in the closing had her email account hacked and the incorrect wiring instructions had been sent to the Law Firm. Report taken. 
  • Theft at South Broad Street – Chevron. White male observed by staff concealing two Four Loco beverages then fleeing the store on foot toward Atha Street. Area was checked with negative contact, Report taken.
  • Hit and Run, South Broad Street in reference to a hit and run that occurred on 03-10-18. Complainants Ford Explorer was struck by a Hyundai Sonata.
  • Welfare Check at Magnolia Terrace. Housing Authority requesting Officers to speak with female due to her being off her meds. Female was transported to Clearview voluntarily for mental evaluation.
  • Follow Up Davis Street in reference to the female subject from earlier welfare check jumping out of her mother’s vehicle.
  • Theft MPD Lobby. Complainant advised he allowed his ex-girlfriend to get his vehicle out of impound back in 2016, while he was incarcerated, and she is refusing to give it back. Officer spoke with ex-girlfriend via telephone and she advised she told complainant back last year to come get his vehicle because she had to move. She advised he never showed up, so she sold the vehicle to a scrap yard.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Hwy 78 West Bound, reference to a blue in color Chevy Trailblazer almost running the complainant off the roadway, area checked conducted with negative contact, dispatch advised to cancel due to Walton County having the vehicle pulled over in the Loganville area.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring Street- Walmart, reference to Leona Morgan observed replacing price tags on items and scanning cheaper items. Fingerprinted and released.
  • Assist Citizen at Harris St., reference to checking the residence to make sure the previous renter had moved out.  No one on location.
  • Suicide threats at Glen Iris Dr., reference to a woman who recently lost her husband having troubling thoughts.  Transported her to Clearview to speak to someone.
  • Suspicious Vehicle South Madison Avenue – Felker Park in reference to vehicle driving through the park repeatedly.  Negative contact with any vehicles driving through the park multiple times.
  • Dispute at West Spring Street – Clearview, reference to a patient being combative with hospital staff, situation mediated everything on location ok.
  • Shoplifting at East Church Street – Chestnut Cupboard in reference to Jabbarrious Green shoplifting a candy bar and driving off with the gas pump nozzle and hose. Jabbarrious Green was located, and the nozzle and hoes returned to the store, the complainant did not want to prosecute. Jabbarrious Green was criminally trespassed from the Chestnut Cupboard and was arrested for driving without a license. He was transported to the City of Monroe Police department to be finger printed, then transported to the Walton County Jail and turned over to the jail staff without incident. Report taken
  • Traffic Stop at South Madison Ave / Norris, reference to spotting the vehicle from the theft at Chestnut Cupboard Subject was turned over to the investigating officer.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., reference to a white female pan handling.  Female was found sleeping in a blue minivan.  Advised her to find another place to sleep and not in the parking lots.
  • Assault at West Spring Street – Clearview, reference to female going to the hospital.  She reported that her husband struck her in the face on her right eyebrow. 
  • EMS Assist South Madison Avenue – Male found unresponsive in bed by his girlfriend. Scene turned over to CID.
  • Welfare Check, Hickory Dr., reference to making contact with male subjects. Welfare Check was requested by WCSO in reference to male making suicidal threats during a dispute on Sharon Church Road. County arrived on scene and spoke to male. He advised all was okay.
  • Warrant Service Wheelhouse Lane. Gwinnett County requesting units to check this address for a male subject whom had active warrants through Gwinnett County SO and Forest Park PD. Made contact with his mother whom stated he no longer resided at that location. Residence was cleared with negative contact.
  • Dispute Rosewood Lane. Complainant on location wanting to get his clothes from residence. Wife, was at work and has changed the alarm code. He was advised to return when she was at home because officer could not establish if he actually lived on location. No dispute took place. Everything okay.
  • Juvenile Complaint Storehouse Court. Complainant’s brother not wanting to get up for school. Officer spoke with juvenile and juvenile left the residence to go to Harmony Elementary. All was okay.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Hwy 11 southbound toward the City limits in reference to a white Oldsmobile driving reckless. Negative contact.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring Street at Walmart in reference to one female in custody. Emily Cronic arrested for shoplifting. Emily also had a warrant for FTA out of Barrow County. She was fingerprinted and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Traffic Stop Highway 78 at Edmondson Road – Female stopped for traffic violation.  Passenger, James Fewquay was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for providing officers with a false name and DOB due to having conditions of probation to stay away from female (Family Violence).  Mr. Fewquay was turned over to the Walton County Jail without incident
  • Suspicious Vehicle South Madison Avenue in reference to subjects possibly disputing in a Chrysler 300. Officer made contact, and all was okay.
  • Extra Patrol/Welfare Check, West Vine Street in reference to an elderly female residing at residence with no power. Called in by MED 6. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Wellington Dr., reference to a subject going door to door asking for donations for her friend with cancer. Contact made with subject who was escorted out of the neighborhood. All was okay.
  • Intoxicated Subject Glen Iris Dr., reference to female refusing to go to Ridgeview after having suicidal thoughts. After speaking with female, she agreed to go to Ridgeview.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring Street – Walmart.  Male subject is homeless and living out of his vehicle in the parking lot.  Male was found to be in possession of shoplifted merchandise (Yoo-hoo). Male was given a criminal trespass warning along with gas money and directions to the Salvation Army in Athens GA.  The merchandise was returned to loss prevention.
  • Dispute at East Marable Street. 15 years of age verbally disputing with her mother. Situation mediated. Daughter has an appointment with DFACS and Advantage for her Mental Health next date.
  • Wanted Person MPD. Frank Parrott on location with active FTA warrant through MPD. Frank was picked up from Polk County SO by officers. He was fingerprinted and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Cherry Hill Road at Walton Logistics in reference to a van that’s been in the parking lot all day. All was ok.
  • Suspicious Person Kendell Court, reference to a B/F in a gold Honda refusing to leave. Female is the complainant’s ex-girlfriend. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person McDaniel Street at Breedlove Drive In reference to a white juvenile male walking alongside the roadway with a sign that said “Hit Me.”   Officer made contact with juvenile who stated he was ok and just trying to be funny.  All ok on location.
  • Dispute at 4th St., reference to complainant disputing with her sister and her daughter over them living in the residence she owns. Complainant owns the residence and has been renting it to her sister and niece. Complainant was advised of the civil process. Situation mediated, report taken.
  • Mental Health at West Spring St., reference to mental health passenger having breakdown due to his father being in the hospital. Returned to vehicle and left.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Spring Place, reference to complainant seeing male subject in a white in color Chevy Malibu parked in the area and walking the neighborhood on foot, area check conducted with negative contact.
