Monroe PD Report: Man hits neighbor’s car head on in street following fight with girlfriend

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 12 – 25, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious person, E. Church St. (Chevron) in regards to man who purchased beer and opened it inside store then left. Clerk could not give description and advised to call back if seen again.
  • Escort, Popeye’s in regards to employee wanting escort to vehicle. All ok.
  • Theft report taken at MPD back parking lot. Complainant advised he was at Spring St. Laundry and left his cell phone and cigarettes on chair while he went to bathroom and a W/M and W/F were on location and stole his items.
  • Gunshots heard in area of Hickory Dr., area checked with negative contact. Only received one call about gunfire.
  • 911 Hang Up, Monroe Motor Inn from main line, checked office, all ok. Area checked and no signs of anyone in distress.
  • Wanted person, Davis St. in regards to anonymous caller advised female subject on location in brown Kia. Vehicle on location but unable to get anyone to open door.
  • Domestic problem, Apartments on Atha St., S. Madison Ave. between mother and son over property. All ok, verbal only. Mother advised son has medical problems and it was fine for him to get property.
  • Theft, Springer Ln. in regards to mother stated daughter stole $800.00 from her home. Report taken
  • Suspicious person, Walmart, flagged down by employees and advised W/M who might be selling 38-D drugs in parking lot walked through woods towards retention pond behind Walmart. Area checked on foot w/ negative contact.
  • Shoplifting, Walmart in regards to W/M, W/F, and B/M inside store filling up shopping carts w/ items. Employees were following subjects and subjects got nervous and left carts inside and walked out of store. Contact made w/ Brigette Moon arrested for FTA warrant, Sylvia Hart arrested for Poss. Of Meth, Poss. Of Drug Objects, Driving while license sup. /revoked and Benjamin McCroskey arrested for Poss. Of Meth. Poss. Of Drug Objects, Disorderly Conduct. McCroskey tased as well for attempting to run from scene. Warrants to be taken by officer for all charges.
  • Subject with firearm, Cook Place in regards to complainant stating male subject pulled a gun on him. Contact made w/ male subject who stated complainant was acting up in parking lot and confronted male subject. Complainant advised he would meet at MPD but never showed up.
  • Suspicious person, KFC in regards to B/M on scene for extended period of time. All ok, subject was gone, but ok.
  • Suicide threats, Baron Dr., male subject left on foot and contact made on E. Marable St. and Roosevelt. Jones advised he was depressed but did not want to go to hospital, no admitting to suicide threats.
  • Loud music, Douglas St., contact made w/ kids playing basketball and listening to music, advised to turn music down. All ok.
  • Suspicious person on Ford St. in regards to female walking around stating she lost her friend. Area checked w/ negative contact.
  • Domestic problem, Cook St. /Pure gas station. Two subjects disputing over one talking to the other’s mother. Alleged threat to punch each other made, no witnesses and one was gone when officers arrived.
  • Medical call, Clearview in regards to male subject on location and cleared by staff. Subject given escort to apartments on S. Madison Ave. & Atha St.
  • Disturbing the peace, Walker Dr. in regards to neighbor working loudly on vehicle. Advised to keep noise down.
  • Entering auto, Ford St., complainant advised 29 Percocet pills were taken from his vehicle today and stated he left windows down in vehicle while at Walton Truck Stop and that’s possibly where theft occurred. Report taken.
  • Arrest ready for pick up, South Madison Ave. Alison Banegas arrested and given escort to WCSO
  • Agency assist, MLK Jr. Blvd. Monroe Fire out with subject they thought had medical issues. Richard Nash arrested for DUI drugs.
  • Agency assist, South Madison Ave. DFACS on location wanting to interview a child in ref to abuse. Unable to make contact with anyone at the door or phone.
  • Theft report, South Broad St., manager advised table umbrella taken sometime this afternoon.
  • Harassment, Taco Bell, complainant advised that named male subject was harassing her.
  • Domestic problem, New Lacy St.  Subjects were GOA prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Agency assist, Jack Peters.  Reference to male subject needing an evaluation.  Subject refused to go to hospital.
  • DOA, Golfview Terr.  Donald Geehr passed away.  Subject had extensive medical issues.
  • Harassment, Cook Pl., complainant advised that named male subject came to her place of business to harass her.  Witness advised that no one had been to the location and that complainant possibly has medical issues.
  • Domestic problem, 3rd St.  Reference to a follow up from the call earlier at Taco Bell.
  • Agency assist with DFACS, S. Madison Ave. Negative contact with anyone on location.
  • Horses in the roadway, S. Madison Ave and Atha St.  Horses were on their property.  All ok
  • DTP, GW Carver Dr., complainant had her vehicle damaged.  No items taken.  Advised she knew who may have done it but would not provide that information to officer.
  • Temporary Protection Order violation, Tanglewood Dr., complainant advised her husband’s girlfriend made comments on Facebook.  No comments directed towards complainant.  Advised no violation.
  • Suspicious person, Sporty Ln., subjects identified and sent on their way.
  • Suspicious person, S. Broad St., female subject was transported to Clearview for evaluation.
  • Warrant arrest, W. Vine St., Jessica Rosales arrested for Oconee Warrant.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of S. Broad St.  Reference to a Chevy truck that brake checked a semi.  Negative contact with the Chevy.
  • Burglary, S. Broad St., 2 laptops taken after breaking sliding glass door with brick.
  • Threats, Storehouse Ct., complainant advised female subject drove passed her residence wanting to fight.  Incident is from a Barrow County Child Molestation Trial this week.
  • Domestic problem, New Lacy St., Juveniles were wrestling and it got out of control.  Mother handled the situation.
  • Domestic problem, Cook Pl., complainant stated male subject refused to leave the residence.  Male subject wanted his wallet before leaving.  Wallet was located and subject left.
  • Fight at North Broad Street and Oak Street.  In reference to a fight on a Walton County School Bus.  Juvenile attempting to fight other student on the bus.  Juvenile being charged with Disorderly Conduct.
  • Domestic at Wheelhouse Lane. The complainant stated boyfriend began to fight her and broke her phone, he also tried to hit her with a car.  Boyfriend went down the street and collided head on with neighbor’s vehicle.  Warrants to be taken for Agg Assault, Battery, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, Criminal damage to property 2nd degree, interfering with 911 call
  • Found Property, complainant met with male subject who said he was walking his dog around the block when he noticed a purse on the ground.  He picked up the purse and noticed a crack pipe inside the purse.  Deteriorating and had bugs in it.  The pipe was turned unto evidence to be destroyed.
  • Wanted Person on Davis St. and Pine Park St., Donald Bloodsaw seen walking down the street.  Was arrest on probation violation warrant out of Monroe.  Fingerprinted and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Damage to Property, West Tall Oaks Dr., met with complainant who stated she came outside and noticed her window broken on her car.  Nothing was taken out of the vehicle.
  • Pickup at Jackson County Jail, Melvin Todd Minish arrested for City warrant for failure to appear.  Transported to Walton County Jail.
  • Identity theft report taken at Monroe PD, complainant reporting identity theft for the second time due to Trans Union needing a new report for more issues found.
  • Fraud report taken at Monroe PD, Son advised his father had his debit card used at Monroe Utilities and Aarons on 5/23/17.  Father was arrested by Social Circle that date for DUI.  Appears someone had taken advantage of the father and brought him to Monroe from Jefferson.
  • Subject with a gun outside of Monroe Elementary.  Subject was GOA prior to officer’s arrival.  County later arrested subject at his residence in the county.
  • Sig38D, E. Spring St.  2 w/m smoking rolled cigarettes.  Both subjects were checked and sent on their way.
  • Theft report, Mears St.  Turkey Fryer taken from back porch between 0100 and 0500 this date.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of Hammond Dr.  Black Camaro speeding from Hammond to Pinepark.  Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Mobley Cir.  Complainant advised he had questions about and individual he let spend the night.  All ok.
  • Dispute, Lacy St., male and female subjects disputing over baby.  Female subject advised that male subject damaged her vehicle door during the dispute.
  • Suspicious vehicle, E. Church St.  RV parked in front of store.  Advised they could have it towed due to private property.
  • Dispute, Magnolia Terr., complainant advised a B/M in a white T-shirt and blue jeans was hanging around her residence.  Subject was GOA.
  • Agency assist, Walker Dr. Reference DFACS wanting to remove child from home.  Child was taken from adult.
