Monroe PD Reports: 13-year old takes overdose of Ibuprofen because mother didn’t pay phone bill

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between Aug. 11 – 17, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Civil Issue, Michael Circle in reference to complainant attempting to repossess a 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa from male subject. Private property transaction. Proper paperwork not obtained. Requested an officer to stand by. Male subject not home and complainant requested an incident report.
  • Civil Issue report requested at South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Complainant requested an incident report regarding his ex-signing an electronic lease agreement on a rental house without his authorization, which he knew about and was okay with it since 2015, but now she’s not paying her bills and he doesn’t want it to affect his credit or be held responsible for the costs.
  • Animal Complaint at 2050 West Spring Street – Walmart in reference to a dog locked into a vehicle in the parking lot. Contact made with owner and advised of the law. Dog was fine and not in any harm.
  • Dispute, East Washington Street in reference to complainant advising named male subject has a key to his apartment and refused to give it back. Situation mediated.
  • Unknown Law at Clearview Regional Medical Center in reference to mother on the phone, hysterical, with 9-1-1 center advising her 13-year-old child consumed pills and was driving reckless to the hospital. Mother stated her child took 5 Ibuprofen (800mh) because she was upset at her mother for not paying the phone bill.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Highway 138 in reference to a white truck with a red couch on the back driving reckless. Contact made with driver and warned of his driving.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Ridge Rd., complainant wanted to request extra patrols in reference to a juvenile spray painting the sidewalk earlier in the week.
  • Dispute at Wall St. An unknown complainant stated she was in a dispute with some and disconnected the line. Complainant was gone when officers arrived.
  • Pullover/Arrest at Hwy 11 & GW Carver Dr. Sheatia Harris arrested for active warrants for Battery. A driver, Lateshia Austin was called to the scene to take Ms. Harris’s car and she also was arrested for an active warrant.
  • Juvenile Complaint, King St., Parents in a dispute with juvenile over him not wanting to leave with his father. Father was arrested for domestic violence.
  • Dispute at Walgreens. complainant reported seeing a physical dispute between two males in the parking lot. Both males were gone when officers arrived.
