Monroe PD reports: Assaults, animal complaints, juvenile complaints and damages to property

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 6 – 12, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Juvenile Complaint, Wheelhouse Lane, complainant said her niece said she was about to be jumped so complainant notified police.  Complainant said her niece then told her she was just messing with her. All ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint, East Spring/Milledge Ave., Juvenile throwing things at vehicles. Checked the area with negative contact.
  • Subject with a weapon, Custom Way, Made contact.  Negative on weapons.
  • Theft, PD. parking lot. Spoke with complainant who stated that his High Point was stolen from his truck, on Monday in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Report taken.
  • Threats, Storehouse Ct., mother advised her daughter accidently hit someone with a rock.  A 17-year-old came to her house and advised her daughter would be punched in the face.  The mother did not know who the 17-year-old was but advised she would like extra patrol.
  • Area Check, Towler St., /Camptown Gardens, reference to someone calling about a man named Bucket threatening people in Winder. No contact with anyone needing help.
  • Burglary, Tanglewood Dr., reference to missing window on side of house. Nothing missing from the residence.
  • Dispute, Baker St., complainant advised a dark colored Mustang came into the apartment complex driving recklessly.  He made contact with the subject and the two began disputing.  He wanted to advise officers, so nobody got hurt.
  • Reckless Driving, Monroe Area High School, officer observed a female driving recklessly at the Monroe Area High School. Subject was arrested and transported to WCSO
  • Animal Complaint, Tanglewood Dr., reference to animal unable to be brought into house. Animal Control responded and helped contain dog. Scene turned over to Animal Control.
  • Animal Complaint, Walton St., reference to loose animal. Spoke with complainant but unable to locate owner. Animal Control notified.
  • Assault, Lakeview Dr., complainant advised two named subjects came to her grandmother’s house and as soon as she came outside they began assaulting her.  They were gone.  She asked that charges be taken on both parties.  Further investigation will be done in order to take charges.  Report Taken
  • Domestic, Maple St., reference to complainant claiming named subject chocked her in their vehicle. Subject gone and witness advised she did not witness any physical altercation. Report made.
  • Assault, Towler Street/Camptown, complainant called reference to the assault on Lakeview Drive stating named subject attacked her.
  • Assault, MLK Jr. Blvd., complainant called reference to named male subject assaulting her in the parking lot of the Valero. Complainant had markings consistent with being assaulted.  Video footage also showed the assault.  Male subject was gone when officers arrived.  Warrants to be taken.
  • Prowler, Southside, complainant advised she heard subjects around her residence and heard one of them say something about a gun.  Negative contact with anyone in the area. Complainant was unable to give a description of the subjects.
  • Theft, Carver Place Apt. Spoke with complainant who stated he gave a friend a ride home this date, and she stole his BB Gun from his glove box. Report taken.
  • Domestic, South broad St., complainant stated she wanted officer to stand by while she got her property from Harris Street due to past violence from her husband. Husband is said to have PTSD from combat. Complainant advised she would contact us back when she had a vehicle to retrieve property. She was also advised of the civil process.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring Highway 78, reference to a white Dodge Charger driving reckless. Checked the area with negative contact.
  • Civil Matter, East Marable St., complainant requested a report due to an ongoing dispute with her land lord.
  • Found property, West Spring St., complainant called and saw a Glock laying on the front hood of car with tag number given. Made contact with subject, she said she is the owner and will get back in contact with us when she has proof in writing.
  • Theft, Lopez Ln., Pet dog ran out the door 2 days ago and has not returned.  Requested report.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, 78 East from Hwy138 ref to a white Honda Passenger car driving reckless and failure to maintain lane.  Patrolled the area had negative contact.
  • Domestic, Bridgeport Place, complainant verbal dispute with girlfriend. The girlfriend said he pushed her and complainant said that she kicked the back door. Both had lived together
  • Property Damage, Glen Iris Dr. This was a hit and run involving complainant and another vehicle, the other vehicle left the scene, came back an hour later and left the scene saying he was going to call a lawyer.  Unknown who the other party is at this time, no tag given, and the vehicle is described as a Red or Burgundy Ford Taurus or Mercury.
  • Traffic Stop, East Spring St./Midland Ave., the driver was cited for canceled registration (Jan 17). Vehicle impounded by towing company.
  • Warrant, Alcovy St., Jonathan Phillips arrested for probation violation.
  • 911 Call/Dispute, W. Creek Cir. Contact made with caller, she advised that the person she was having problems with was gone, according to her husband she is having some mental health issues.  Everything appeared to be ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Knight St., complainant stated the boy next door threw an egg at her porch.  Spoke to the boy and advised him not to throw things at the porch.  He advised he understood. Complainant was pleased with me talking to the child.  All 10-4
  • Damage to Property, complainant stated his mailbox was struck by a tractor trailer around 0500, another resident in the area of Cedar Lane) also had damage to their property.
  • Traffic stop, N Madison Ave/Bold spring Ave. Conducted a traffic stop, driver Vicki Jackson had a suspended license. Arrest made report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, J&B Food Mart, Clerk on location advised an unknown black male wearing all black and carrying a backpack was inside the store causing a disturbance before leaving on foot towards Perry Street. Conducted area check with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Mill Creek Way, Caller advised a tan vehicle pulled in behind the leasing office.  Contact made with a male subject who is employed as the maintenance man for the neighborhood.  All ok.
  • 911 hang up, W Marble St. Made contact with residents who stated a male named given was standing in their yard. The wanted him removed he was gone when officers arrived. Conducted an area check negative contact.
  • Dispute, West Creek Circle, complainant called reference to his wife not acting right and coming at him with a knife.  It was determined once Officers were on scene that the wife did not actively attack him with a knife.  It was determined she needed medical attention and Advantage Medical was contacted and advised they would respond to the residence. After a mental evaluation, the wife was transported to Piedmont.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Truck Stop, reference to a male asleep behind the wheel parked in the rear exit.  Made contact with the driver who advised he was tired, so he parked.  He did not realize he was in the way of the trucks.  Did not observe anything to lead officer to believe he was under the influence.  All ok
  • Dispute, Green St., complainant stated that named female was on location with her boyfriend, and the two of them where arguing. All party’s gone on arrival.
  • Dispute, West Marable St., complainant on location, knocking on the door. Complainant was upset because her boyfriend was inside the residence with her sister.
