Monroe PD Reports: Civil issues, animal complaints and domestic disputes dominate

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 26 – June 1, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Loud music @ St. Ives subdivision. Contact was made with residence once entered neighborhood. Graduation party, advised parents on location to keep noise down.
  • Dispute at Nowell St. Verbal dispute over property between 19-year-old and 14-year-old about one having the others iPhone. Phone was recovered and parties separated. All ok.
  • Dispute at Clearview Regional Medical Center in regards to staff trying to explain discharge of patient in room 3 to family and family wanted patient transported to Eastside. Contact made w/ family and advised of transport policy, all ok. Patient and family left Clearview
  • EMS assist at Marable St. in regards to B/F w/ no pulse. Officer arrived on scene and started CPR until EMS arrived and took over. Female was transported to Clearview by EMS while continuing CPR. Female regained pulse and was stabilized by staff at Clearview. At 0310 hrs, dispatch was notified by Clearview staff that female passed away and Coroner was notified and on way to Clearview. CID was notified by phone of incident and advised she would be notified if coroner found anything other than death by natural causes. Female’s next of kin was notified.
  • Warrant service Plaza Trace, Subject with a warrant that was taken 5/27/17 by officer’s said to be on location.  Negative contact.
  • Dispute on Pannell Road.  Subjects were disputing.  Female had a busted lip but claimed that male did not do it.  Parties separated and incident documented.
  • Dispute New Lacy St.  Subjects disputing and male was trying to leave.  Male had warrants out of Walton Co.  Subject was arrested.
  • EMS assist at Walker Dr.  Female passed out.  She was transported by EMS.
  • Civil issue at Taco Bell.  Roomate said he was going to sell his roomate’s PS4 in a yard sale.  Spoke to roommate on Fambrough St.  Advised not to sell Sorrell’s belongings.
  • Damage to property on Towler Street.  Complainant advised that an unknown vehicle struck a females 2017 Dodge Charger.
  • Damage to property on Bryant Road.  Complainant advised a gray or black Chevy S10 struck his mailbox and left the scene.
  • Welfare check at Dollar General on E. Spring Street.  Mother left her daughter in the store thinking she had left with her brother in a separate vehicle.  Mother quickly returned to get her child.  All ok.
  • Sexual Assault at Clearview Regional Medical Center.  Complainant advised a male subject raped her while a patient at Ridgeview on 5/24/17.  CID notified.
  • Animal complaint at Atha St.  Raccoon in the yard.  Advised to leave it alone it will move on at night.  All ok.
  • Trespassing at Plaza Dr.  Reference to juveniles who do not live there playing in the pool area.  Juveniles were with a family that does reside in the complex.
  • Harassment on W. Spring St.  Complainant had a business deal with a male and said male continued to visit her place of business.  Male was asked not to return to the property.
  • Suspicious person at Dollar Tree on W. Spring St.  Subject possibly suffers from dementia and wondered away from his son at Home Depot.  Contact was made with son who picked up his father.
  • Shoplifting, E. Spring St.  B/M wearing blue jean shorts and black shirt entered store while clerk was in bathroom and took 1Colt 45 beer.  Subject came from the N. Madison area in a silver Nissan 4 door.  Could not zoom in and it be clear enough to read the tag number.
  • Dog Complainant at Lopez Lane no contact made with called.  Dog was still in the area hanging around Masters Drive.  Contact made with neighbor stated it was this home’s dog.  The dog was then secured in the fenced area.
  • Child Custody issue at Country Club Drive.  The father refused to drive to Lawrenceville PD for the child exchange.  Advised of the obligation from the courts.  Child was turned over to mother with no issues.  Advised mother of remedies.
  • Suicide Attempt at Glen Iris Drive in reference to female taking Clonazepan.  She was upset with male and attempted to OD on Clonazepan and alcohol.  Turned over to Walton County EMS and was transported to Clearview Hospital.
  • Domestic at Plaza Drive.  Female stated boyfriend was cheating.  They had a verbal argument no evidence of physical contact. Boyfriend left and the situation was mediated.
  • Animal Complainant at Magnolia Street.  In reference to subject who lives at Magnolia Street, pit-bull getting out.  Dog were contained upon police arrival.  Spoke to subject about keeping her dogs contained at all times.
  • Domestic Follow Up at Plaza Drive.  Male wanted to retrieve some clothing from the apartment.  Situation handled
  • Dispute at Cook Street In reference to female wanting to remove her property from the residence.  Officers stood by while she gathered her things and left.
  • Domestic at Nowell Street in reference to Subjects arguing over a vehicle.  Situation was mediated.
  • Burglary at Tanglewood Lane.  Homeowner stated someone broke into his house last date and took his pistol and laptop.  Serial Numbers obtain added to GCIC/NCIC.
  • Shots Fired South Broad, spoke to a person standing around at Hardee’s and he stated he saw fireworks in the area of Church Street.  Area was checked negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of Felker Park failing to maintain lane.  Area was checked and located a vehicle.  No traffic laws were broken.
  • Met with Citizen at Monroe Police who wanted to know who was driving her car this date when Officer made traffic stop.  Officer advised her.
  • Discharging Firearms in the area of Tanglewood Drive.  Checked the area and negative contact with anyone outside.
  • Runaway Juvenile at Lacey Street.  Juvenile visiting her grandmother for the weekend.  Advised last time seen was 2300-0000 and she was possibly off with a male subject.  Subject was listed on GCIC as a runaway juvenile.
  • Dispute at Cook Pl.  Subjects were disputing over living arrangements.  Male was arrested for probation violation out of Newton Co and was transported to Jersey and handed off to Newton County.
  • Agency assist with Walton County and a subject fleeing on Hwy 78 westbound.  Subject on motorcycle wrecked out just before Hwy 11.  Subject was arrested by county.
  • Report taken in the lobby of Monroe PD.  Female advised that male threatened her in the area of Green St and Perry St.  Advised of warrant process.
  • Fraud report in the lobby of Monroe PD.  Complainant misplaced her check card and it was used without her knowledge.  Requested a report.
  • Follow up at Mr. Quicks.  Subject from last dates shoplifting was possibly residing on Walton Rd.  Attempted to make contact but subject was not on location.  Dimaron Jones is the subject’s name.  He was later located at the residence and arrested.
  • Harassing phone calls at Fawnfield Dr.  Complainant stated her baby’s father keeps harassing her about child support.  Advised of the TPO process.
  • Dispute at GW Carver.  Complainant wanted female to leave.  She had someone come to get her and her things.  Parties separated.
  • Dispute in the area of S. Broad St and Victory Dr.  Male was located on Victory Dr. matching the description.  He was checked and sent on his way.  Negative contact with the female.
  • Reckless in the area of Hwy 138 approaching the city limits.  Reference to a red passenger car passing on a double yellow line.  Negative contact.
  • Welfare Check at Maple St.  Meet with DFACS to check on 3 juveniles.  All ok.
  • Dispute at Tanglewood Lane.   Sister on location stating her brother who has Schizophrenia was having an outburst and was arguing over her car keys, she advised it was just a verbal and he gave the keys back and left.  Parties do not live together.
