Monroe PD Reports: Disputes, domestics and wine thrown at woman

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between Aug. 11 – 17, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Hit & Run, Bridgeport Place. Complainant reported her 2000 Honda Accord struck by another vehicle while parked in front of residence on 8/9/17. Believed to be neighbor on Bridgeport Place. Negative contact with neighbor at home.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on North Broad Street near the Valero. Caller advised a maroon vehicle was driving recklessly. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at the Bait Shop on South Broad Street in reference to green Ford Expedition selling 38D (drugs). Contact made with male and female in vehicle and consent was given to search the vehicle. Negative contact with any 38D.
  • Theft, Mobley Circle in reference to complainant advising a male subject with blonde hair, driving a white F250 took a Miller Lite pool table light he accidently left outside.
  • Dispute, Maple Lane in reference to a dispute over tools. Complainant disputing with tenants. Advised of eviction process.
  • Dispute, Nowell St., complainant stated named female struck her child with a belt. Situation mediated & declined a report.
  • Juvenile Complaint, E Tall Oaks Dr. Made contact with two juveniles who advised they were just using the walking path between the houses to go home. All 10-4.
  • Suspicious Person, W Spring St. Complainant advised two males were messing with a flower pot on location. Spoke with owner stated the males were employees on location and were ok.
  • Child Custody, W Spring St in reference to mother wanting to be escorted to pick up her son from his father’s house. Mother had no custody paperwork and decided to wait and pick the child up tomorrow. All ok.
  • Dispute, W Spring St. in reference to two juvenile males that threw a small bottle of wine at a female. Situated was mediated prior to officers arrival. All ok.
  • Assault at Old Mill Run & Old Mill Way., complainant struck by an unknown male that was gone when officers arrived. Complainant did not want to press charges or provide any information.
  • Suspicious Person on Breedlove Drive near Alcovy Street. Subjects walking in roadway refusing to move, Spoke with walkers who were training for Susan G. Komen’s 3-day walk. Advised to be observant to vehicles.
  • Missing Person info taken at South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department. Female was placed onto GCIC earlier this week and wanted to make known she was not missing. Female advised she was off her med and is currently back on them. Subject removed from GCIC. Supplemental added to original report.
  • Warrant Service at the Hot Spot in reference to JT Stovall with an active probation warrant out of Walton County. Subject arrested and taken to the Walton County Jail. Domestic, Davis Street in reference to two subjects were verbally disputing.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring Street – Walmart. Store employee advised she’s noticed a heavy set black female loitering around Walmart with the past few days. Employee also believes the subject stayed the night in the garden center. Area checked with negative contact.
