Monroe PD Reports: Disputes moderated between unruly juveniles and parents or grandparents

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 11 – 17, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, North Broad St., met with the complainant. He stated he believes that his soon to be ex-wife broke the front window of the residence. Report Taken.
  • Dispute, Parkway Place, complainants on the scene angry that named female told the staff at Camptowne Gardens their home has bedbugs. The subject was advised to refrain from engaging further for the day. Situation mediated. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, East Marable/Walton Rd. Black male walking on side of the road. The subject was located but was not doing anything wrong, just walking on the sidewalk.
  • Fraud Report, South Broad St., reference to someone stealing complainant identity and opened a credit card with a debt of $797. Report taken.
  • Dispute, East Spring St., the complainant on the scene making the complaint that named female driving recklessly in the courthouse parking lot, following her and male subject to store and taking groceries out of truck bed. The female was gone when officers arrived, report taken.
  • Dispute, West Marable St., the grandmother wanted her grandson to be talked to about being disrespectful to her. The situation was mediated.
  • Warrant Attempt, South Madison Ave., Carl Johnson arrested for local Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrant. Report taken.
  • Theft Report, East Spring St., Spring St. Dentistry, reference to $281.60 missing from the cash drawer. Report taken
  • Theft, Glen Iris Dr., reference to complainant meeting with a named female subject from Facebook to sell an iPhone Named female took the phone and drove off. Report taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Walton County Jail. Mother requested an officer to speak to her unruly child. Spoke with the child and mother about programs.
  • Suspicious Person, Ridge Rd., the complainant advised a black female wearing a brown jacket and neon pink shoes came onto the property and attempted to break the basketball goal.  The complainant advised her she was not allowed to use the goal and the female became irate.  She walked away from the premises prior to Officer arrival.
  • Meet With officer on East Church St., the complainant stated someone was shining a flashlight into their window. Conducted an area check no contact.
  • Shoplifting, Walmart, Kayia Vinson and a juvenile were caught by loss prevention shoplifting items.  The total of the times was $403.87.  Ms. Vinson was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe Police Department.  She was fingerprinted and released on a copy of the citation.  On call juvenile intake was contacted in reference to the juvenile.  Officer was advised to release her to her parents.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Bait Shop, anonymous complainant stated a white work truck was on location occupied for several hours. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
  • Meet With officer on East Church St., the complainant called again in reference to unknown subjects shining laser lights and flash lights in her backyard. Negative contact.
  • Suspicious person, Felker Park. Two subjects taking a short cut through the park. They were advised not to be in the park after hours.
  • Meet with Officer, 4th St., complainant requested Officers to check her attic due to hearing a phone ring. Unit spoke with the complainant and advised of remedies.
  • Dispute, Lacy St., complainant requested officers again because her grandmother was going to have her evicted in the morning. Her grandmother did not want to provide her name.
  • Burglary in Progress, Creekview Dr., complainant stated he heard voices coming from behind his refrigerator and in the attic. No signs of anyone in the residence.
  • Traffic Stop, Keisha Jackson cited and released for driving while suspended. The vehicle left in the orchard near Towler St./South Madison Ave. at the request of the owner, will be 10-46 at a later time. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop, driver cited for driving with no insurance and expired registration. Vehicle impounded by the towing company.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Armistead Cir., complainant stated a gray SUV was in the area today and on the 7th of January. occupied 1 time. wants additional patrols in the mornings.
  • Burglary, Plaza Dr., met with the complainant. He stated that $2,100 dollars was missing from his bedroom. Report Taken.
  • Suspicious Person, South Madison Ave., Possible unlicensed driver in the area in a silver car. Negative contact.
  • Warrant, Alcovy St., Jotham Rodriguez arrested for WCSO warrant. Report taken.
  • Wanted Person, Alcovy St., reference to Randy Futral having a warrant for Violation of Probation. Arrest made, report taken.
  • Mental Patient, Breedlove Dr., reference to mental evaluation on a female subject. The subject was transported to Piedmont-Walton.
  • Suspicious Person, South Broad, made contact with a male subject. Subject gave consent to search.  Advised he was just out for a walk. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., complainant stated a guy was trying to open her passenger side door, then went around to the driver’s side door. complainant confronted him he was looking for another person. Then left when he realized that complainant was not the person he was looking for. All ok.
  • Traffic Stop, Union St., /East Marable St., driver cited for no insurance and suspended registration. Vehicle impounded by towing co. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop, West Spring St./Breedlove Dr., driver cited and released for affixing license place with intent to conceal for and possession of marijuana less an ounce. Firearm located in vehicle, placed in evidence for safekeeping. Vehicle impounded by towing co. Report taken.
