Monroe PD Reports: Domestic disputes include issue over whipped cream and rose petals

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between April 1 – 6, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle on Hwy 11, Charlotte Rowell Blvd. in regards to white Toyota Camry w/ rear end damage. Speeding auto unable to maintain lane. Area checked, contact made on Michael Circle, all ok.
  • Dispute, W. Spring St. (Peach state Credit Union) in regards to male subject on location causing disturbance over ATM malfunction. Situation mediated and subject advised to leave
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Hwy 138 in regards to red Ford Expedition driving reckless. Contact made w/ driver and vehicle at Chick-fil-A (work) and all was ok.
  • Dispute, E. Fambrough St., in regards to complainant requesting named subject being asked to stay off her property. Attempted to make contact w/ subject but nobody was home
  • Warrant subject on Lacy St., Willie Gray arrested for Violation of Probation warrant.
  • Suspicious Vehicle leaving Walmart towards W. Spring St., red Chevy Tahoe w/ children unrestrained. Area checked w/ negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on W. Highland Ave. near Day St. in regards to silver Buick LeSabre possibly threw beer bottles out of vehicle. Address of vehicle was on Walton Rd., contact w/ vehicle unoccupied at residence, all ok.
  • Domestic problem on E. Spring St., not domestic related, dispute in regards to retrieving property. All ok, property retrieved.
  • Domestic problem on area of New Lacy St. and Davis St., female caller advised her dog and herself were assaulted but refused to give name and location and could not call number back. Area checked for female in distress w/ dog, negative contact.
  • Theft report, Cook Place. Complainant stated that a USB thumb drive was stolen out of his mailbox at Cook Place.  On 3-25-2017. Report taken.
  • Domestic problem on Towler St., complainant upset because girlfriend wore make-up to work. Verbal only, advised of remedies. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Hwy 78W through city towards Loganville in regards to tractor-trailer w/ no brake lights. Advised dispatch to check availability of Georgia State Patrol or Walton County Sheriff’s Office due to all units busy on domestic calls. Negative contact
  • Fraud, E. Washington St. in regards to Wilber Williams on location trying to cash a stolen check. Williams arrested for Check fraud and Forgery. Victim’s stolen check book was recovered on scene and returned to victim at MPD. Warrants to be taken by officer.
  • Hit and Run at West Spring Street (O’ Reilly Auto Parts), complainant’s vehicle was struck in the Parking Lot by an unknown white male.  Minor Damage to his vehicle.
  • Dispute, Plaza Drive (Ashton Pointe Apartments), complainant took a tag off her vehicle.  Subject was upset that she took the tag off the vehicle he uses with her permission, so he took the tag off the vehicle she drives.  Situation was mediated and the tags are back on the vehicle
  • Domestic, Harris Street in reference to complainant retrieving items.  Items retrieved without incident.
  • Domestic, Turner Street in reference complainant giving subject money to play the electric bill.  Complainant upset that subject used her money to pay the bill and he had not paid the rent with his.  Situation meditated.
  • Harassment, Launius St., complainant advised her cousin failed to pay her for watching her kids and is texting her.  Complainant is unaware of her cousin first name, but stated they call her by name given and she resides on Green Street.  The area was checked for subject with Negative contact.
  • Harassing calls at Tanglewood Dr., reference two females having a mutual TPO’s against each other. One female advised she did not want a report, just wanted me to call other female.
  • Damage to property at East Church Street (Sparrow Hill Inn) in reference to the lawn care service knocking a rock into a vehicle driven by male owner.  It damage the rear passenger window and struck his daughter causing a minor cut to her hand.  Report for documentation only
  • Extra Patrol in the area of South Broad Street.  Heard a commotion in the area and it sounded like someone fighting.  Area was checked could not locate a fight or anyone needing police assistance.
  • Threats at East Washington Street.  After speaking to complainant she stated a named subject called her daughter a “MUT.”  After speaking to subject she stated she was talking to her nephew, due to that being his nickname.  Complainant declined a report after case number was pulled.
  • Dispute on Towler Street in reference to complainant allowing male subject to hang out.  Male subject would not leave when asked, so complainant called the police. Male subject was given a ride home to Sorrell Street.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at East Church Street / Hammond Drive.  Vehicle with GA tag given slamming on the brakes.  Attempted to locate the vehicle but unable too.
  • Harassment on Hubbard Street in reference to Rodrigues Edwards upset neighbors were filming from their front yards.  Edwards had warrants for his arrest out of Walton County.  Arrested and taken to Walton County Jail.
  • Suspicious Vehicle a South Broad coming into the city from Social Circle.  Negative Contact with the vehicle.
  • Theft on West Spring Street (Haven Inn) reference complainant advising the BBT ATM stole his money.  I advised complainant when you use another banks ATM it chargers a fee.  Complainant got upset and walked back inside.
  • Unknown Medical on Vine St., (Conestoga MHP) male subject was acting strange.  Would not tell EMS what was wrong and EMS transported to be checked out at the hospital.
  • EMS Assist on South Madison Avenue at Fambrough street in reference to help locating male subject who dialed 911 for an Ambulance.  Subject was located EMS canceled police response.
  • Traffic Stop, Vehicle Impounded for no insurance.
  • Damage to property on Unisia Drive complainant said her ex-boyfriend put whip cream and rose petals on her vehicle.  She did not like this.
  • Alcohol Violation at West Spring Street (McDonalds) female subject charged with poss of alcohol by a minor, poss of marijuana less than an ounce, and poss of cocaine.  Was observed by FIT
  • Disturbing the peace at West Marable Street.  Caller said someone was outside cussing at each other.   Only person located talking on the phone.
  • Dispute, Turner St. between tenant and landlord over rent and privacy. Called in 3rd party by tenant’s sister in Covington. All ok, verbal only.
  • Dispute, Athens First in regards to irate customer in drive-through. All ok, irate customer was GOA
  • Juvenile complaint in area of N. Broad St. and 78 bridge in regards to juveniles running across road. Area checked with negative contact
