Monroe PD Reports: Domestic disputes keep police officers busy

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between Feb.23 – March 2, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Officer called to MPD lobby, complainant stated that her cousin stole her vehicle.  After further investigation, it was discovered to be civil in nature.  Advised of civil remedies.  All ok.
  • Warrants/arrest, Alcovy Street / State probation, Eric Jones arrested for probation violation warrants.
  • Domestic problem, Tanglewood Dr., Verbal dispute between two females.  One female volunteered to leave the residence.  All ok.
  • Domestic problem/arrest, S. Madison Ave., Family members disputing about a hope tree.  Situation mediated.  Michael Mullen arrested for warrants out of Barrow County.
  • Hit and Run Wal-Mart, Damage to Property report made reference damage caused by a car door.  Report declined.
  • Domestic problem, Ridge Road, Male subject left in white passenger car, partial registration.  Family members advised that he was trying to start a fight with everyone on location.  Negative contact with subject.  All ok.
  • Juvenile complaint, Old elementary school on N. Midland.  Juvenile was being unruly on the bus.  He was given a escort to Maple Lane.
  • Suspicious person in the area of Glen Iris and Edwards St.  Made contact with subject who was on the side walk.  All ok.
  • Damage to property South Madison Ave., Felker Park., complainant advised his wife’s vehicle was damaged on Monday and another officer refused to do a report for her.
  • Dispute, West Marable St., complainant stated named female subject was making fun of her. Female subject stated complainant was intoxicated and started it. Subjects are neighbors, Subject left with family for evening, all ok.
  • Suspicious person, East Church St., Jack Peters, male subject on location sent on his way, all ok.
  • Domestic problem, Bell St., complainant wanted his rent money back from male subject. Both advised of civil process.
  • Suspicious person in the area of New Lacy St. Anonymous caller advised b/m in red paints, rolling around in the roadway. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Welfare check, West Vine St., Conestoga MHP,  Requested contact with female resident ref her incarcerated son hasn’t spoke to her in three days, all ok,  Female resident advised her phone broke.
  • Domestic problem, Alcovy St., wife stated her husband pushed her, parties separated for the evening due to being unable to determine aggressor.
  • Suspicious person, S. Broad St., PD parking lot. Cowell subject in tan Blazer advised people were following him, unsubstantiated possible 38D/drugs paranoia. Escorted towards winder out of the city.
  • Domestic problem, South Broad St., Southside MHP., Father stated his wife came over and got their 3-year-old daughter and took her to her mother’s house Conestoga. Stated 3-year-old screaming for her over the phone, both still married, no custody agreements. Incident documented.
  • Burglary in progress Perry St., complainant stated someone entered her residence using a credit card, possibly named subject who was seen near the residence two hours prior. Area checked for subject with negative contact.
  • Theft report, Tall Oaks Dr., complainant advised that male subject from Tall Oaks was taking cigarettes off his porch.  Negative contact with subject.
  • Warrant/Arrest, Alcovy St.  Alexis Mosher arrested for probation warrant.
  • Domestic problem, Arcadia Ct., male and female disputing in a vehicle.  Male put female out of the vehicle but kept her phone.  Male returned the phone and female did not wish to press charges.
  • Complainant in the lobby of Monroe PD wishing to make a report about suspicious vehicle in South Side Mobile Home Park.  Complainant requested extra patrol in reference to speeding vehicles.
  • Suspicious person at the Library, male subject come in upset and wanted to speak to the GBI.  GBI was called and he spoke to agent.  Subject threw the phone down and took off.
  • Arrested subject from Monroe Area High School to PD then WCSO.
  • Damage To Property report taken at Monroe PD, complainant advised his 2014 Chevy truck was struck while parked in front of Mike Cash between   1210 -1230.
  • Stolen vehicle report taken at Monroe PD.  Complainant wanted to report that his 1989 Ford Bronco was missing from Walton Rd.  He advised he had permission from home owner to leave the vehicle on location.  Vehicle had been on location since 7/2016.  Officers were on location 2/22/17 in regards to the vehicle.  Advised homeowner that he could have the vehicle towed.  Home owner told officers she did not know the owner.
  • Warrant/arrest, Alcovy St.  Zachary Criswell arrested for probation warrant.
  • Speeding vehicle in the area of Magnolia Terr., driver was located in a Pontiac G6.  She was advised to watch her speed while in government housing.  All ok.
  • Dispute, Bell St. Ongoing issue between two males over rent money. One male warned about public intoxication.
  • Dispute, Stokes St. Civil issue between couple. Eviction process explained. Male subject is moving out.
  • Juvenile complaint, West Spring St., Quality Foods. Juvenile seen in area with knife behind his back. gone when officers arrived, all ok.
  • Domestic problem, Walker Dr., male subject on property and homeowner wanted him to leave. Subject gone when officers arrived, all ok.
  • Dispute, Turner St., complainant stated female subject was on location and would not leave. Called back and said she left and did not need police. Officer told is not a valid address per dispatch. Negative contact with the comp on call back.
  • Damage to property, South Broad St., Johns Supermarket. Complainant stated he was traveling North on South Broad when a w/m in grey hoodie threw something at his vehicle. No damage found, declined report. Area checked for subject with negative contact.
  • Suspicious person, Carver Pl. Ref to someone knocking on the door and wiggling the handle. Area checked with negative contact.
  • 911 hang up, Chestnut Lane., male subject arguing with girlfriend, verbal only, all ok.
  • Domestic Problem, Cook St, complainant advised male subject would not let her sleep. Spoke to male subject and advised him to let her sleep. Situation mediated, all ok.
  • Officer flagged down North Broad St., Monroe Food Mart. Male subject given escort to Tanglewood Dr., all ok.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle/chase/arrest, Attempted to stop 1994 Honda motorcycle for reckless driving at HW78 and Southview Dr. Motorcycle chased to Fox’s Pizza in Oconee before stopping on its own. David Bilbo Leazer arrested for Poss on Meth, violation of motorcycle permit, reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, and speeding. Motorcycle is pending seizure. FIT notified.
