Monroe PD Reports: Entering auto, burglary and sexual assault allegations

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents during the period Nov. 3 – 9, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please not and arrest or charged does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle, Old Mill Point/Wheel House Ln., male subject was observed standing in the roadway, intoxicated, next to the vehicle the caller described. Male subject was allowed to call a ride to pick him up and take him home.
  • Suspicious Activity, East Washington St. (Athens First Bank and Trust), Officer made contact with Bank employee. Employee stated yesterday at around 10:30 to 11:00 hours, two suspicious males entered the bank with one being a black male wearing a red bandana. When confronted by a deputy who was already at the bank, both males said they were just waiting on someone then were seen leaving the bank through the back entrance. Employees asked for extra patrol. Report taken. Employees stated they will follow up on Monday when surveillance images are available.
  • Burglary, Green St., complainant reported someone damaged the back door of a vacant house he is preparing to sell.  No damage or missing items inside the residence.  Report taken.
  • Dispute at Chestnut Cupboard, complainant verbally disputing with boyfriend. Boyfriend gone when officers arrive, possibly back towards their residence off of Gene Bell. Graham advised of the eviction procedure. All ok. Boyfriend arrived back at scene to tell his story. Both parties departed to residence with Walton County Sheriff’s Office. All ok.
  • Meet with Officer on North Broad St., Female subject standing by at Sussie’s Wings stated she woke up at G.W. Carver Drive, and unaware how she got there.  Female subject stated she received a ride from an Uber driver, smoked marijuana at approximately 2030 hours last night, and woke up this morning missing her glasses, purse, and shoes.  Negative contact with anyone at address given, subject transported to Clearview in reference to sexual assault allegations.  CID officer was contacted by patrol and advised of the incident. CID officer responded to Clearview and transported subject to have sexual assault kit conducted.
  • Suicide Threats, Carwood Dr., Reference to a third-party call that named female wanted to harm herself. Officers spoke with female and she advised that she did not wanted to harm herself. All ok.
  • Entering Auto, Mill St., complainant wanting a report for three black males who entered his vehicle on the 2nd of November at 00:08 hours. No property was reported stolen. Report Taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at South Madison and Atha St., Reference to a gray van driving reckless. Officer had negative contact.
  • Possible Intoxicated Dr., Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Reference to an elderly male driving a gray passenger car. Vehicle turned onto Highway 138 towards Walnut Grove. WCSO was advised.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., A family from Atlanta asking for help with gas, and food.  Family was assisted with both, and asked to leave the property.  All ok.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., Dispute between complainant and child’s grandfather. Grandfather gone when officers arrived. Complainant stated the grandfather grabbed his 12-year-old son by the back of the head, then drove off in a Toyota Truck White in color. Complainant advised of the TPO process. Report taken.
  • Welfare Check, Holly Hill Rd., boyfriend requested welfare check on female subject due to her missing an appointment, spoke with her grandfather on location and he advised she was not home at this time. Requested the grandfather make contact with female subject and inform her, that her boyfriend was concerned.
  • Discharge of Firearms, Mountain View Dr., caller stated she heard several gunshots near her residence, conducted area check with negative contact.
  • Follow Up, Mountain View Dr., Resident on Mountain View Drive stated there was a male subject on Mountain View Drive shooting at a cat. Contact made with male subject, he advised he does not own a firearm nor did he shoot at a cat. Officer did not observe any shell casings in his yard.
  • Dispute, Walker Dr. Neighbor reported yelling. Met with female subject who advised that she had a verbal argument with her boyfriend who was gone when officers arrived. Female subject was advised of remedies and issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
  • Dispute, Walker Dr., with the neighbor. Situation was mediated, and parties agreed to stay off the others property.
  • Traffic Stop, Oak St., Driver fled on foot. passenger confirmed who was driving. WTB for Driving while Suspended, Failure to use turn signal, open container, and Obstruction.
  • Suspicious Person, J&B Foodmart. Employee on location stated a black male subject wearing all black walked into the store with a pistol in hand, subject looked around and walked out. Conducted extensive area check with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person, Mobley Cir. Met with complainant who advised there was a black male hooting like an owl walking down the road. Complainant wanted the area checked she believed the hooting was gang affiliated. Completed area check with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Pine Circle. Anonymous complainant stated an unknown vehicle was in the area, requested area check. Conducted area check with negative contact.
  • Loud Music, Kendall Court. Made contact with the residents and they agreed to turn the music off and go in for the night.
  • Suspicious Person, Davis Street/Harris Street. Anonymous complainant stated named subject was on location and involved in the recent entering autos. Conducted area check with negative contact.
  • Fight at Fuzions. Officers working a part time job notified on shift officers of a fight on location.  Officers separated both parties and removed them from the establishment for the remainder of the evening.  All ok.
  • Dispute, Walton St., complainant stated her neighbor was filming her while she was sitting on her porch. Complainant requested a report for harassment, situation mediated, and report taken.
  • Violent Domestic, Davis St., caller called 911 stating she was struck in the face. Caller was uncooperative on scene, no signs of violence.
  • Dispute, N Broad St. in reference to a dispute. Conducted a PC pull over on one of the suspected vehicles and the occupants stated that they were playing around, and everything was ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., Reference a silver SUV that had been parked on the property several hours. Checked the vehicle and it was not occupied. Advised the caller that we could not impound on private property.
