Monroe PD Reports: Fight at parade sends one to the hospital, arrests and domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Domestic Dispute, Perry St., complainant wanted me to have a named male subject give back the money he took from her. It was explained that was a civil issue and the civil proceedings to take. All ok.
  • Welfare Check, Sporty Lane, check on a female subject who made suicidal threats to her finance company. Subject not on location and vehicle was also gone.
  • Suspicious Person, South Broad St., White male sleeping on side of the building. Male subject criminally trespassed from Dollar General.
  • Domestic, East Spring St., Ronald Thomas and a female were in a verbal dispute about Ronald’s ex-wife. Only verbal and no accusation or evidence of a crime. Ronald was arrested for an active warrant.
  • Pointed A Weapon, West Spring St., Complainant stated a male subject point a gun at him. The victim was gone when officers arrived. Report Taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Harris St., the complainant said four black male juveniles stole fishing poles from in front of his house and fled on foot. Complainant refused a report.
  • Agency Assist, Tanglewood Dr., reference to DFACS checking on a family with no lights or power. Contact was made. Turned over to DFACS. Quentin Graham had a warrant for Violation of Probation, arrest made, report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, Plantation Dr., Residents stated a group of unknown subjects was setting up tents in their yard. Negative contact with anyone in the area. Subjects possibly under the influence.
  • Suspicious Person, Plantation Dr., Residents stated the subjects returned and pointed rifles at them during the last encounter. Negative contact with anyone in the area.
  • Traffic Stop, South Madison/Community Court. An officer observed motorcycle traveling without a license plate.  It was determined during the course of the traffic stop the motorcycle did not have insurance.  It was also determined the driver did not have a motorcycle license.
  • Unknown Law, West Spring St., Anonymous female subject requested the Police Department and disconnected from 911. Negative contact upon further callbacks. Made contact with several employees and patrons with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Activity., Wall St./East Church St., Officer observed heavy smoke in the area and located a small brush fire near Wall Street and East Church Street. Monroe Fire Department was able to put the fire out without issue.
  • Domestic, Ridge Rd., mother said her 15-year-old daughter jumped on her 19-year-old daughter.
  • Threating Text, Bryant Rd., complainant stated that she is receiving messages from a number that she doesn’t know. I explained what steps to take to block the number. All 10-4
  • Domestic, Plaza Dr., the complainant had questions in regard to a protection order from his ex-girlfriend.  No Family Violence.  Ex-girlfriend did enter complainant apartment without permission while his adult stepson was home and tore items off the walls.  Complainant did not want to prosecute.  The complainant was advised of the Good Behavior Warrant Process and the process to have ex-girlfriend trespassed from the property.  Report taken.
  • Warrant Service, Cook St., Rodney Jones arrested for warrants out of Walton County.
  • Wanted Person, South Madison Ave., Mary Williams was arrested for her probation warrant.
  • Warrant Service, Alcovy St., reference to James Wooten on location with an active warrant.  Mr. Wooten was taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail
  • Assault, Piedmont Walton, reference to a male subject being at the ER due to an injury he sustained during a fight at the parade.  His mother did not wish for a report to be made.
  • Warrant Served, Atlanta City Jail, reference to Tyeshi Lawrence wanted for Violation of Probation. Arrest made, report taken.
