Monroe PD Reports: Fights, juvenile complaints and domestic disputes

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 27 to May 3, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, Millstone Bluff, complainant advised her ex-boyfriend will not return her personal items. The items were left in the shared vehicle. Complainant advised on how to get new copies of her information and canceling bank card. Complainant did not wish to pursue charges.
  • Suspicious Person, Pineview Dr., reference to complainant advising an older black male has come to her residence the past two days tracking a stolen phone. Complainant advised there’s no stolen devices in her home and requested extra patrol.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St., reference to a Schaefer tractor-trailer unable to maintain lane. Negative contact with any vehicles matching the description.
  • Suspicious Person in the area of 5th St., Code Enforcement advised a subject was riding a 4-wheeler up and down the street reckless. Officer checked the area with negative contact.
  • Mental health subject, West Spring St., reference to a subject on location screaming and running through the store. She was gone in a green van when officers arrived.
  • Hit and Run, Breedlove Dr., West Spring St., reference to two vehicle collisions. Complaint of arm pain. At fault driver left scene after telling another driver he does not have a license.
  • Suspicious Person, East Church St., Chestnut Cupboard, male subject on location, just released from jail. Trying to get to Dekalb County. Was given a ride to the Golden Pantry per his request.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Marable St. hearing toward Gratis Road. Black BMW with Tan stripes.  No contact.
  • 911 Hang Up, Green St., reference to kids on location playing with a 911 only phone.  Parents were informed not to let kids play with a cell phone.
  • Fight, Lacy Street/Harris St., two subjects were assaulted by a large group. Refused a report, saying everything was okay.  No injuries were seen.
  • Dispute, Walton Rd., reference to two subjects disputing over property sold from house.
  • Suspicious Person, Maple Way, reference to subject knocking on doors to use WiFi.
  • Suspicious Person, North Broad St., Golden Pantry, subject from earlier call still on location. Was given a ride to the Race Track in Loganville to get him closer to his destination.
  • Meet with Officer, Rosewood Lane, complainant requested officer to standby while he gathered his registration paperwork from his estranged wife, due to history of disputing. Property was handed over without incident.
  • Suspicious person, Walmart, reference to female subject looking into vehicles. Made contact sent her on her way
  • Dispute, Colquit St., two subjects disputing over property. Parties separated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Gatewood Way, reference to a child’s ATV left in complainant’s yard. The vehicle did not have any VIN or Serial number that could be found, and dispatch was unaware of any stolen vehicles. The ATV was left to be picked up by owner.
  • Suspicious Person in the area of East Spring St. at FISH. Male subject was walking with a limp. Officer made contact and he advised he was jumped at the Monroe Motor Inn but did not wish to file a police report.
  • Dispute, Pine Park St., married couple were verbally disputing. Parties were separated. Report taken.
  • Entering Auto, East Washington St., complainant advised someone entered her vehicle after the hours of 2130 last date. No items reported missing.
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy St., reference to Aliska Tulenkun having an active warrant out of Newton County. Tulenkun was arrested and transported to WCSO without issue.
  • Warrant Served, Custom Way, officer observed a white Nissan Altima with Tag # on Pine Park Street. The vehicle returned to Tinika Robinson who had an outstanding warrant. Officer made contact on Custom Way and took Robinson into custody.
  • Welfare Check, Magnolia Terrace, reference to checking the welfare of named subject for FISH MD. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., reference to a female panhandling. Subject was given a verbal warning and advised to move on.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Spring St./Broad St., reference to tractor trailer driving recklessly and backing up traffic. Negative contact with vehicle.
  • Suspicious Person/Traffic Stop at the Hot Spot, officer received a tip that the subject was dealing 38D (drugs). Officer ran his information through GCIC and it returned with a revoked driver’s license. The subject then pulled into the Hot Spot driving a white Ford Explorer. Kendale Johnson was arrested for driving on suspended license.
  • Meet with Officer at MPD. Complainant advised named subject pointed a gun at him last date. Report taken.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., Haven Inn, reference to named male subject disputing with staff about bed bugs. Male subject was issued a criminal trespass warning and left the property.
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks West, complainant advised named subject struck him in the face during a dispute. Complainant did not have any visible marks. Officer had negative contact with subject. Report taken.
  • Meet with Officer, on Baker St., mother advised the Assistant Principal at CMS has been harassing her 13-year-of age juvenile. WCSO SRO was notified and responded.
  • Dispute, Carver Place, reference to complaint verbally disputing with named female about their kids fighting with grass and sticks. Both parties were warned to stay away from each other’s residence and advised to not let their children play together. Situation mediated.
  • Noise Complaint, Walker Dr., reference to complainant wanting area checked for loud music. No loud music heard in area.
  • Family Violence, Ridge Rd., male subject slapped a phone out of complainant’s hand as she tried to call 911.  Warrants to be taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St./Henson Dr. reference to a green in color Honda Accord with an unsecured juvenile in the back seat, area check conducted with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Blaine St., Jay’s Beauty Supply, reference to in reference to male and female being on location behind the place of business, made contact with both parties who advised they were having a private conversation, everything on location ok.
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks East, reference to couple disputing over male subject’s being on location at the residence on Tall Oaks Lane, the dispute was verbal only. Male subject was issued a criminal trespass waring from the Tall Oaks Property upon request of the security officer of the property. Report taken to document the incident.
  • Follow-up, Ridge Rd., complainant advised male subject was knocking on her door.  As I arrived, male subject fled on foot towards Plaza Drive.  Lost contact in the wooded area separating the apartment complexes.  More warrants to be taken.
  • Fight, Wheelhouse Lane, reference to a large group fighting in the streets. Upon arrival no group was found, and nobody had seen anything.
  • Dispute, Pierce St., reference to daughter disputing with her mother. Daughter while arguing with mother struck her mother on the arm causing a red mark, the situation was mediated, and a juvenile complaint filed for simple battery, report taken to document the incident.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Gatewood Dr., reference to subject having issues with neighborhood kids who hit her daughter. Attempted to make contact with parents on Gatewood Way but no answer.
  • Fight, Harris Street/Davis St., reference to a large group in the area appeared to be fighting.  Upon arrival group broke up and left the area.
  • Ordinance Violation, West Creek Circle, reference to a party at the residence.  Been warned multiple times about parking in the grass and blocking a fire hydrant.  Owner was cited for both violations.
  • Suspicious Person, Radford St., reference to an intoxicated male subject removing neighbor chairs. Subject GOA upon officer arrival. No chairs were taken from property.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Plaza Dr., Ashton Point, reference to a dark colored Chevy Passenger car parked near the playground.  Checked the area with negative contact.
  • Agency Assist, North Broad/North Madison Ave., reference to WCSO unit being out with male and female subject, female advised they had an argument on Washington St. and she walked off to cool down, male subject is her boyfriend and was following behind her to make sure she was ok. Everything on location ok, boyfriend gave female a lift to her residence in Loganville.
  • Dispute, North Madison Ave., reference to complainant having guest over that would not leave. They were gone when officers arrived and no other issues.
  • Welfare Check, Ash St., reference to daughter calling her mother and stating she was being held against her will, officer made contact with the resident. Resident stated the only people on location were him and his brother, Resident agreed to a search of the residence, there was no one else in the inside or on the property outside the residence. While on location the officer spoke with the complainant mother over the phone, she was very uncooperative and did not provide any details to the officer or dispatch. Everything on location ok.
  • Dispute, Old Athens Hwy/Chery Hill, two subjects had a dispute in a vehicle and driver didn’t want her in his car anymore.  Female was given a ride to her residence.
  • Fire Assist, West Marable St., reference to female subject burning clothing in the street. Issued citation for illegal burning.
  • Agency Assist, Mill Stone Bluff, reference to contact message for a mother to contact Deputies about her son. Message delivered.
