Monroe PD Reports: Gunshots fired, animal cruelty warning given and revenge porn complaint

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between June 23 – 29, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Loud music complaint Glenwood Ave. Subject working on a car at 4:29, music was low, all ok.
  • Loud music complaint Glenwood Ave. Music turned off, all ok.
  • Officer Request to meet at MPD, South Broad St., Ref to Complainant and a drug classes needing access to the courtroom. Officer responded to unlock doors.
  • Complainant request to meet at South Madison Ave., Walton County Sheriff’s Office Female posting nude video of the complainant online.
  • G. W. Carver Dr. Ref to making contact with second party from above case, negative contact at residence. Warrant To Be Taken for invasion of privacy (revenge porn).
  • Officer Request to meet on South Madison Ave., WCSO. Sheriff’s Office unit requesting MPD ref to a fraud case.  Complainant advised of a check that was stolen during one of the burglaries at Dermatology Associates and then altered and changed from 100 to $3,000 and cashed or deposited.
  • Follow up 221 South Broad St., Wells Fargo. Ref to above fraud case, all ok.
  • Found property Landers St. Comp found wallet outside his house. Contact made with owner and they will meet at the PD later in the day, all ok.
  • Warrant attempt Cook Pl. juvenile arrested for Rockdale SO warrant. Negative contact.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart. Gabriel Clement, Brianna Schnoor, and Tina Garner arrested for shoplifting.
  • Suspicious vehicle South Madison Ave. Complainant advised of a dirt bike up and down the street. Contact with bike at South Madison, advised to keep it in the yard, all ok.
  • Suspicious vehicle Ash Ln. and West Creek Cir. Comp advised of a grey jaguar in the area and the driver had no license. Checked area with negative contact, dispatch confirmed the suspected driver did have a license.
  • Citizen flag down, Wheel House Ln. During area check citizen requested jump off for their broken down vehicle. Vehicle started, all ok.
  • Animal complaint, West Spring St., Walmart. Ref to a dog in vehicle. Contact made with registered owner, and he was advised on animal cruelty laws, all ok.
  • Dispute Overlook Crest. Verbal dispute between stepfather and stepson. Subjects are in process of divorce and were disputing over property.
  • Damage to property on Pearce St. Complainant reports damage to a mailbox and her 2002 Chrysler van.
  • Request to check area North Hammond Dr. and Union St. Complainant from Athens Tech advised the field is closed on weekends and juveniles were tearing up the property. During area check, juveniles were playing football on the field, the fence was locked and no way for officers to gain entry. Contact made with complainant by phone and advised she did not have a key and officers on duty did not have a key. Officer could not use same hole in fence that juveniles used due to duty gear.
  • Suspicious person East Fambrough St. Subject wearing a white T shirt, with back pack, with dreads on location waving a gun. Residence at Fambrough St. was unfamiliar with the call. Made contact with complainant who advised he retrieved a stolen bike from subject that belonged to his son, who then pointed a gun at him and his son and went towards South Broad. Officer’s made contact with subject at South Broad and East Fambrough. Subject had backpack with two air cartridges for an air soft gun but no gun or replica on his person. Subject was a juvenile and was released to his mother at Walker Dr. Juvenile complaint filed.
  • Request to meet with officer on Booth Dr. juveniles with warrant from Rockdale county requesting to turn himself in. Juvenile was arrested and turned over to Conyers PD at Black ink.
  • Damage to propertyat Davis St. Complainant stated white Nissan Altima drove by house and threw unknown item at rear window of his Ford Explorer.
  • Suspicious vehicle on Atha St. at S. Madison Ave. in regards to green dirt bike being rode on streets w/o helmet. Contact made at S. Madison Ave. and advised to stay off roadway.
  • Juvenile complaint at E. Tall Oaks Dr. in regards to a fight that took place between two 10 YOA juveniles. Contact made w/ parents of juveniles and they advised they would keep kids from each other.
  • Welfare check at A Irving St.  Complainant stated he did not want his 16-year-old and 12-year-old daughters staying by themselves sometimes while the mother goes to see friends. Complainant advised of no law for children to stay alone and if he is concerned for other matters to contact DFACS. No criminal law broken.
  • Dispute in vehicle on Mayfield Dr. Contact made w/ subjects who admitted to arguing but no physical fight over their vehicle breaking down. All ok, no signs of violence
  • Dispute, E. Washington St. in regards to Mother disputing w/ person watching her child. Someone else returned child. All ok.
  • Dispute at Parkway Pl. in regards to verbal dispute between couple over bills. No signs of violence and incident documented.
  • Juvenile complaint at Meadow View Dr. in regards to complainant seeing a group of kids jumping on peoples cars. Kids were confronted and parent were with them and vulgar language was exchanged and group left the area. Complainant not familiar w/ kids and worried they might come back.
  • Dispute at Sporty Ln. in regards to juvenile calling 911 and yelling heard in background. Daughter disputing w/ mother .Mother was intoxicated and moved all of daughter’s belongings out of the residence. Mother stated that daughter could stay outside w/ belongings until a friend could come and pick her up. All ok.
  • Gunshots heard at Boulevard. Contact made w/ complainant who stated she heard around 10 gunshots in the area. I was in area and heard 15-20 shots fired prior to call being dispatched. The area was focused near John’s Supermarket. Contact made w/ residents in area and they heard the shots as well but not sure where they came from.
  • Theft at Bold Springs Ave. in regards to complainant stated she had 81 Xanax bars. Report taken
  • Damage to property at Pine View Dr. in regards to complainant stating between 5:00 PM and this call, unknown vehicle and person backed into his mailbox breaking it. Report taken
  • Dispute at Landers St. Complainant stated she was cussed out by a named subject and then he left the residence. Complainant could not provide any factual information but wanted to make us aware of incident. All ok.
  • Illegal parking at Maple Place Townhomes. Large party taking place, vehicles blocking residents in. Owners located and vehicles were moved, all ok and advised homeowner that party had to be over by 0200.
  • EMS assist at Maple Ln. Apt in regards to 20 YOA B/F having seizures. Female was stabilized and transported to Clearview by EMS.
  • Suspicious person at Walker Dr. in regards to W/M that was in area laying down and now standing in driveway of complainant. Contact made w/ male who was looking for WiFi. All ok.
  • Welfare Check Wood Acers Rd. Elderly Alzheimer patient wanted to go home. Was at home and lives with daughter, not being abused, all ok.
  • Warrant attempt, North Broad St., Deer Acers Inn. Female on location with a warrant out of WCSO. Management let us in room and the female subject was GOA.
  • Theft report Meadow View Dr. Complainant reports missing “slow” street sign she put up in her yard.
