Monroe PD Reports: Juvenile complaints – disobedience, refusing to go to school and theft

Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 13 – 19, 2018. Due to the length, this has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, East Marable St., complainant stated she was disputing with male subject about numerous incidents. Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St./Charlotte Rowell Blvd. Reference to a pickup truck tail gaiting the complainant, vehicles were out of the city at the time of dispatch. Walton County Sheriff’s Office advised.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Sweetgum Dr., mother stated her 15-year-old son left the residence without permission. Her son was on location, situation mediated.
  • EMS Assist, Davis St., male subject fell due to being extremely intoxicated. He was transported by EMS due to injury. No signs a dispute took place.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Monroe Library, father stated that his 20-year-old special needs son had left their home and was walking on foot. While talking to father his son called him and told us that he had fallen and was on the ground. The son was located outside the library on W Spring Street and transported by EMS.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., male subject on location causing a disturbance, situation mediated. Was provided a ride home after treatment.
  • Suspicious person, S Broad St., /Fambrough St. While on patrol a suspicious person was seen leaning into a vehicle and looking around with a flash light. Contact was made with Ceicle Beamon who upon further investigation had an active warrant from Gwinnett County. While conducting a search incident to arrest methamphetamine, and a stolen hand gun were located on Ceicle’s person. Ceicle was then transported to the Walton County jail – report taken.
  • Prowler, East Church St., complainant advised his wife heard someone pushing on the window in an attempt to make entry. Officer walked the property with negative contact with anyone. There was no sign of anyone trying to make entry.
  • Residential Fire, South Broad St., complainant called stating his residence was on fire. Scene turned over to Monroe Fore Department. Raymond Watts arrested for probation warrant out of Newton County.
  • Dispute, Green St., complainant called in reference to her boyfriend assaulting her once she returned home from being out with friends. Boyfriend was gone when officers arrived. Complainant had visible markings to the right side of her face. Warrants to be taken.
  • Meet with Officer at MPD.  Charmis Grant came to the Police Department to give his side of the story. Spoke to Mr. Grant and he was taken into custody, reference to Battery Family Violence.  Supplemental added to previous call.
  • Juvenile complaint, Carver Place, 16-year-old arrested for unruly and criminal trespass -FV. Lopez transported to juvenile court and released to Amanda Brown.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Wayne St., MFD conducting training at the old Barry’s Speed Shop.  Needed information to try and locate a vehicle owner.
  • Welfare Check, Breedlove Dr., (Ridgeview Institute), reference to a patient leaving a program against their advice. Employee stated he was not under any type of medical order to stay.  Asked to check his welfare if contact is made due to him being bi-polar, and schizophrenic.  Ok
  • Civil issue, South Broad St., complainant said she had severe plumbing issues with her house. Land lord wants her out by 5pm. Notified city Marshall to check to see if the house is livable.
  • Suspicious person, South Broad St., grandfather has a concern about his grandson who lives on Walker Dr. stating that his mom’s boyfriend name given, unknown last name, is selling pills. Grandfather is concerned for grandkids. Notified FIT and conducted an area check of that address.
  • Follow up, Nowell St., this is in reference to an earlier call. Met with the landlord and the current tenant and agreed that the tenant would be completely moved out this evening. Once moved out they advised they would call an officer to witness money and key exchange. All ok.
  • Welfare check, Tanglewood Dr.  Advantage requested a check on resident.  She was ok.
  • Suicide Attempt, Breedlove Dr., female subject was brought in for mental health evaluation. Subject said she had taken a bunch of pills and kept changing how many she took. EMS arrived and transported her to Walton Piedmont.
  • Suicide Threats, Lakeview Dr., male subject had made comments by phone that he wanted to harm himself. He was not on location. WCSO made contact by phone.
  • Agency Assist, Birch St., Meet with DFACS reference to a sexual assault.  DFACS could not locate mother. Will advise when they have further information.
  • EMS Assist, Los Three Amigos, customer was in the bathroom and had been having a seizure.  Officers made contact and she was conscious and alert. Customer was turned over to EMS.
  • Dispute, Johns Super Market, reference to two subjects getting into a fight. One subject left the scene and both parties had conflicting stories. Report taken
  • Dispute, Reed Way, complainant called, reference to neighbors having a dispute in yard.  Spoke to female subject who advised she had been in a verbal argument with her boyfriend.  The boyfriend was gone when officers arrived.Female subject advised it was verbal an no physical contact was made.  Spoke to complainant who advised she observed the boyfriend strike the female subject with a closed fist.  No markings were observed on the female subject.  Report taken. 
  • Juvenile Complaint, Ridge Rd., mother advised her daughter left the residence on foot and did not know where she went. She advised at this time she did not want to report her as a runaway just wanted advice. Domestic Dispute, Davis St. Spoke with complainant who stated he was struck in the leg with a plate by named subject. Report taken.
  • Dispute/Fight, Dairy Queen, made contact with employees who stated parties left location.  Also advised they did not get into a physical fight. They advised one male left in vehicle and the other on foot traveling east on Spring Street. Made contact with male subject on East Spring who advised he had been in a verbal altercation with the father of his step-children.  Advised it was not physical and all was ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Tall Oaks, spoke with mother who stated her 12-year-old took money from her. Situation mediated. Report taken
  • Civil Issue, Nowell St., met with parties from earlier civil matter at same location and stood by as money and keys were exchanged.  All ok.
  • Runaway Juvenile, Ridge Rd., spoke with mother who stated her daughter had ran away. Daughter was later located report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., reference to a suspicious person walking in front of Walmart. The area was checked with negative contact.
  • Meet with Officer, Moe’s, daughter wanted a BOLO to put on in reference to not having contact with her mother, since 1730 hours. The mother was last known to have been at Tractor Supply. A BOLO was put out for a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado silver in color with rear passenger side damage to all local agencies. Daughter advised her dad would file her missing in Newton County if they felt that it was needed.
  • Suspicious Person, Lakeview Dr., anonymous complainant stated two black males dressed in dark clothing were asking for donations for the Monroe Football team. Conducted area check with negative contact. 
  • Meet with Officer, Harris St., reference to mother wanting her car keys. Her daughter took them because she was intoxicated. Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious Person, Windsor Dr., Multiple residences called, reference to two subjects knocking on doors and walking around their residences, while conducting an area check officer’s located a vehicle parked on East Marable St. A black 4-door passenger fled the area at a high rate of speed before Officers could get to it. Notified WCSO to be on the lookout. Negative contact with any subjects walking in the area
  • Fight, Camptown Gardens/Towler St., anonymous caller stated a large group of subjects were actively fighting in the roadway. Upon arrival no active fight, all parties GOA
  • Rape, Piedmont Walton, complainant advised medical staff that she was raped on the previous date in Tanglewood. Complainant advised that a black male, facebook name given, raped her at his mother’s house in Tanglewood. She did not know his real name. Once CID was on location complainant advised that she did not want to prosecute. Report taken
  • Meet with Officer, Magnolia Terrace, reference to complainant wanting officers to stand by while he collects his belongings. Complainant’s ex-girlfriend did not show up advised him to call back when she gets there.
  • Wanted Person, Davis St., Caller advised that Erica was on location and had active warrants. Contact was made with Erica, who at first gave a false name and DOB. Erica was taken into custody and was transported to the Walton county jail. Warrants to be obtained. 
  • 911 Hang up, Harris St., made contact with caller who advised all ok.
  • Dispute, Walton Truck Stop, complainant advised that named subject was following her on Hwy 78. She has an active TPO against named subject. Named subject was GOA. Complainant advised she just wanted to make a report to have documentation. Report Taken
  • Dispute, Wall St., complainant called, reference to a dispute with two other subjects. He advised dispatch to disregard because he was in Magnolia Terrace and knew he was banned and did not want to be arrested. Conducted area check for complainant with negative contact.
  • Civil Matter, Magnolia Terrace, reference to complainant wanting officers to stand by while he retrieves his belongings. All ok.
  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., two subjects disputing about one subject not leaving the residence. The subject provided a courtesy ride to Elm Drive
  • Juvenile Complaint, Ridge Rd., reference to daughter refusing to get out of bed and go to school. Mother, advised daughter was located and returned home sometime after 2200 hours last date. She stated her daughter got up and got ready for school just prior to officer arrival.
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks West, reference to Derrick Jackson and another subject physically disputing. Derrick Jackson was arrested for battery.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Unisia Dr./Highway 78. Black Dodge truck unable to maintain lane. Upon Officer arrival, GSP had stopped the vehicle. Turned over to GSP
  • Traffic Stop, South Broad St., /Washington St. Silver Honda Odyssey stopped for brake light violation. Eddie Iler Jr was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license. He was fingerprinted and released on copy.
  • Warrant Attempt, Flexo Converters, Antwain Laguin was on location with an active warrant out of Morgan County. Laguin was taken into custody and released to WCSO.
  • Traffic Stop, South Madison Ave./Davis St., officer observe red tag # driving down South Madison Avenue. Officer ran tag through GCIC and it returned with the registered owner having a suspended driver’s license. Officer could visually affirm the driver as the owner. Anthony Jackson was taken into custody for driving on a suspended driver’s license. He was fingerprinted and released on copy of citation.
  • Dispute, Bryant Rd., reference to a dispute between Christopher Tuggle and another subject. Tuggle was arrested for simple battery. Tuggle resisted arrest and was tased. A UOF report was completed.
