Monroe PD Reports: Juvenile jailed for pulling knife on father

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between July 6 – 13, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Civil Issue, South Broad Street.  Complainant on location advising his neighbors still are being loud.  Advised both parties to quiet down for the night.  Complainant stated he was moving out tomorrow.
  • Suspicious Person, Rose Ison Terrace.  Two Juveniles males walking through Rose Ison.  Juveniles were walking from grandmother house to their house.  Given a ride to Oak Street due to their aunt being home.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Magnolia Street.  In reference to juvenile being out past curfew. Mom left him outside to teach him a lesson.  Spoke to child about being charged being out past curfew.
  • Area Check, The Cotton Mill on foot. Located open back door to Grace Monroe.  Unable to secure door after checking the area.  Unable to contact key holder.  Located open door to suite 500 next to engine room.  Unable to secure the door.  Could not make contact with key holder.
  • Request to meet with officer on West Spring St., Captain D’s. Complainant reports tripping in pot hole in parking lot and hurt his ankle.
  • Unknown, South Broad St., Hardee’s. Complainant advised his son is the victim of someone trying to take his money.
  • Missing person, Meadowbrook Dr. Husband attempting to report his wife missing. Made contact with wife’s sister by phone who advised wife left due to a dispute and did not wish to speak with her husband at this time.
  • Follow, South Broad St., Hardee’s. Complainant was advised to have his son contact police if he wants to report theft.
  • Theft report, South Broad St., MPD. Complainant reports friends that helped her move kept items.
  • Harassment Ridge Rd. Complainant reports a named subject making false complaints to the landlord and threatened him yesterday.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Bankers Blvd. Complainant reports a car with a South Carolina tag parked overnight and no one has returned for it. Complainant was advised it was on private property and she could tow it.
  • Request to meet an officer at MPD. Complainant tried to leave injured bird he found at the PD, he was sent on his way.
  • Request to meet with an officer at MPD. Comp requested officers to standby while she bought a $3,000 dog, all ok.
  • Traffic stop, N. Broad St. and Sorrell St. Brendi Lee arrested for suspended license. Lee fingerprinted and released on copy. Lee also issued 3 citations for children not in car seats.
  • Juvenile issue, Knight St. in regards to complainant stating a 31-year-old male was interested in kissing her 11-year-old daughter .No evidence at this time, report taken.
  • Theft, Sherwood Dr. Complainant advised his Walther PK380 was stolen in Walnut Grove. Walton County Sheriff’s Office was advised to be on way for report.
  • Possible dispute, Magnolia Terr. in regards to a group of females arguing in street and then left area. Nobody was on scene when police arrived. All appeared ok.
  • Dispute, E. Church St. in regards to complainant stating a homeless man is on location and refusing to leave. Complainant stated a man was outside sleeping in a chair and then woke up yelling and screaming at her. Man stated another man pulled a baseball bat on him. Male subject was told to leave by property owner. Report was taken
  • Suspicious person, 6th St. in regards to anonymous caller stating intoxicated male at first house on right screaming. Contact made w/ family and all was ok.
  • Vicious dog, Lakeview Dr. Contact made w/ Animal Control and complainant. All ok, incident from where complainant was attacked by a cat and dogs attacked the cat. Report done by animal control.
  • Suspicious subject near Engine Room. Male was chasing his dog that got loose. Dog was captured and returned home to Norris St.
  • Juvenile complaint, Wheelhouse Ln. in regards to 13-year-old male screaming and breaking items in house. Contact made and discovered he’s in foster care through DFACS in Habersham County. Juvenile transported to Clearview for mental evaluation. Foster parents arrived at Clearview to assist.
  • Warrant Attempt, Monroe Motor Inn, in regards to a female possibly on location with meth and has an active warrant through WCSO. Contact made w/ male in room but female not on location
  • Entering auto, Wood Acres Rd. Complainant stated his truck and his wife’s SUV were broken into and both vehicles were locked and alarms never went off. No signs of forced entry. Two handguns and $1000.00 cash was stolen.
  • Vehicle out of gas on W. Vine St. near city limit. Transported driver to lot in Conestoga to get family to assist w/ getting gas.
  • Entering auto, Cedar Ln. No damage, nothing taken. Report requested.
  • Entering auto, Cedar Ln. located during area check on foot due to other entering autos in the area. Report declined.
  • Entering auto, Cedar Ln. Located during area check on foot due to other entering autos in the area. $54.00 cash taken and a ring.
  • Entering auto, Cedar Ln. Located during area check on foot due to other entering autos in the area. Owner has motion sensor camera, will research footage to assist, report declined.
  • Entering auto, Cedar Ln. Located during area check on foot due to other entering autos. No damage, nothing taken, report declined.
  • Entering auto, Forrest Ln. No damage, nothing take, report done due to attempted to lift fingerprints.
  • Entering auto, Forrest Ln. Bottle of tramadol with 6 pill taken.
  • Entering auto, Wood Acres Rd. Located during area check on foot due to other entering autos in the area. Flashlight and wet wipes submitted for fingerprints.
  • Entering auto, Wood Acres Rd. Located during area check on foot due to other entering autos in the area. Complainant missing a gun. Entered on GCIC.
  • Dispute report taken at South Broad St., Monroe City Court. Subjects outside disputing. Contact made with complainant who was disputing with her boyfriend’s sister because they did not want to ride in the same vehicle.
  • Wanted person ready for pick up on Alcovy St. Laticia Lawson arrested for probation violation.
  • Threats, Double Springs Church Rd. Monroe Area High School student made a threat to go to someone’s house and hurt them. Juvenile complaint filed.
  • Unruly patient, West Spring St., Clearview Medical Center. Patient got into a red passenger car and was gone when officers arrived. Medical paper was signed and subject also had a warrant out of WCSO.
  • Stolen Vehicle recovery, South Madison Ave., Felker Park. During area of Felker Park, Chief located a Chev SUV stolen out of WCSO, Turned over to WCSO.
  • Medical call, South Broad St., In Home Care House. Mental patient requesting to speak with an officer and advised her nurse she took six 500MG Tylenol. Turned over to EMS.
  • Domestic, North Broad St., Monroe Utilities. Unknown caller advised that an older male struck a female passenger in the face, the exited the car and was speaking to another female and appeared to be buying items. Contact made with couple who was buying items from a female. No signs of violence and according to the seller no violence or argument occurred.
  • Theft report taken at MPD. Gun stolen sometime between May and July 4th. While house was being renovated. Entered onto GCIC.
  • Dispute, East Spring St. Breedlove Insurance. Unknown caller advised people yelling and swinging on each other in front of Breedlove Insurance. Contact made group in front of FISH. Arrested Gary Powell for Jackson county probation warrant.
  • Shoplifting, South Broad St., Walgreens. Unknown b/m took unknown amount of Dove body wash and left the store. Described as an older b/m wearing a coral button up shirt and blue jeans.
  • Suspicious vehicle Highway 78. Waffle House. Vehicle left on location for over a week. Staff was provided contact info of owner to call before they have it impounded.
  • Disturbing the peace, Classic Trail. Complainant kicked out a female from residence and as they were leaving she heard them say “they have an idea”. She was advised that wasn’t enough to obtain a TPO. She requested extra patrol.
  • Theft report, Harris St. ref to 3 $1.00 solar lights stolen from flower bed, report declined. Requested extra patrol.
  • DFACS assist, Towler St. DFACS worker took custody of 2 week old child from Mother. All parties advised of process to regain custody, all ok.
  • Threat report taken at MPD parking lot. Complainant stated her baby’s father is upset w/ her and got another female to try and fight her and made threats through social media. Report taken and pending investigation.
  • Fight, Jack Peters store on E. Church St. between 2 B/M. Officers arrived on scene w/ negative contact. An area check was done and neither males located. 2107 hrs, Contact was made w/ subjects who were fighting earlier. Paul Robinson was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Clint Foster arrested for active warrant out of Spalding County.
  • Criminal Trespass, Walton Circle in regards to subject on location and been advised by homeowner to leave previously. Trespass issued to subject, situation mediated.
  • Violent dispute, Breedlove Dr. Complainant stated his juvenile son got upset and pulled a knife on him and made threats to kill him. Juvenile was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Terroristic Threats and Acts. Juvenile transported to Rockdale RYDC.
  • Harassment, Classic Trail. Complainant stated a neighbor told her a “female” and friends were going to throw bricks at her house. No other information or proof of threats could be provided. Area was checked and negative contact w/ anybody out walking.
  • 911 hang-up, W. Spring St. Arrived on scene, contact made w/ staff. 51-year-old W/M passed out in store 3 times. Patient was alert when I arrived. EMS cleared on scene and male picked up by friend.
  • Fight, Davis St. in regards to anonymous caller advising multiple B/M and B/F fighting in front of residence. All subjects fled on foot when officers arrived and an area check was done to try and locate subjects but had negative contact.
  • Suspicious vehicle on Creekview Dr. parked in front of Creekview Dr. and vehicle had an open door and interior light on. Tag was ran and vehicle returned stolen out of Walton County. Vehicle matched description of black sedan used in entering autos taken place the past few days. Vehicle was still warm and had black gloves on hood. CID was notified and WCSO arrived and assisted. Vehicle seized and towed by towing company for processing. All available units checked surrounding areas for suspicious people on foot in the area. Pending investigation at this time. 4 suspects were detained and interviewed.
