Monroe PD Reports: Juvenile kicked in face by another child on school bus

Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 26 – Feb. 1, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note a an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Civil Issue Towler Street. Property manager had questions in regard to banning an evicted resident from the property whom visits other tenants on location. Property manager was advised of remedies.
  • Dispute, West Creek Circle. Third party complainant stated that a Johnny subject and his mother were in a dispute on location. Made contact with both subjects on location whom stated they had a verbal disagreement and everything was okay on location.
  • Juvenile Complaint, West Spring Street – Clearview Regional Medical Center.Contact made with parents stating their daughter, (9-year-old) was kicked in the face by a (10-year-old) while they were on their way home on the school bus. Parents were informed to contact the school for disciplining procedure and contact was made at 10 year-old’s residence with his grandmother.
  • Illegal Drugs/Search Warrant at Nowell Street in reference to making contact with a named subject. Address could not be located. Attempted first residence at the corner of Nowell Street and North Broad Street. Resident advised they were Nowell Street. It was later determined subjects were at Nowell Street. FIT contacted based on information gathered and a search warrant was obtained.
  • Suspicious Vehicle in the area of North Broad Street and Mayfield Drive. Caller advised vehicle in ditch, unoccupied. Contact made with the vehicle on Mayfield Drive and a note left on windshield “Please don’t tow. Will be back later with a chain. Car ran hot.
  • Suspicious vehicle on West Spring Street near Clearview Regional Medical Center. Teenager advised a green Ford F150 cut him off in Between, GA and gave him the finger.
  • Suspicious Person at Kelton Road. Complainant advised she saw two black males peeking into her window. She advised that when she came outside they were gone. Requested extra patrol occasionally. She advised they will have builders on location next week doing renovations.
  • EMS Assist at Davis Street in reference to a thirty-eight-year-old female passed out. Subject transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center by EMS.
  • Warrant Service at Walton County Animal Shelter in reference to Derick Jerome Murphy having active warrants out of Loganville PD. Murphy was arrested and transported to the Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Agency Assist at 1450 South Broad Street, in reference to DFACS doing a home visit.
  • Dispute Elm Place Complainant said male was at her house asking for items. She did not want them there and he was gone on arrival. Advised of options.
  • Theft, South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department in reference to a stolen debit card.  Complainant reported a Direct TV debit card was taken from her mailbox and maxed out in the Monroe area.
  • Civil Issue, Tanglewood Drive Apt A in reference to subjects disputing over him living in the residence, Male provided a paper written and signed by female stating male and his son could stay at the residence. All parties on location were advised of civil remedies.
  • Mental Patient, West Spring Street – Clearview in reference to a 10-13 patient brought in from the county trying to leave.  Spoke to the patient and got him to stay.
  • Dispute Maple Street.  In reference to a Misty on location.  Residence wanted her to leave.  Subject was gone prior to arrival.
  • Welfare Check, North Broad Street in reference to female being on the floor and needing help getting up, her sister was transported from Perry Street to her sister’s, Female was in her bedroom floor next to her bed, EMS was dispatched, and we were able to get female into her bed. Sister is remaining at the residence for the night to take care of her sister.
  • Domestic North Broad Street – Deer Acres Inn complainant said Timothy Day choked her leaving visible injury. Day arrested and charged with battery.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad Street – Golden Pantry Vehicle parked near air pumps. Vehicle unoccupied and everything valid. Advised staff.
  • Suspicious person, Poplar Court in reference to a male walking in the yard.  Made contact with the subject.  He stated he missed the bus and was trying to walk to school.  He was transported back home and turned over to his parents.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Mathews Park. Female advised that she is homeless and was told to meet her friend at the park, so she can follow her to her new house. All appeared to be ok.
  • Theft, West Spring Street. White male stole approx $40 in bulbs and left In a car with a drive out tag that returns to someone else.  Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Highway 138 in reference to a blue Ford Taurus driving reckless. Conducted traffic stop and it was an APD officer. All ok.
  • Dispute, West Spring Street in reference to a 10-13 patient, refusing to be transported to Ridgeview.  Subject transported by Pro Care. Ok.
  • Counterfeit, West Spring Street (Marathon).  A white male attempted to get change for a fake twenty-dollar bill.  Bill turned into evidence.
  • Harassment, Fambrough Street in reference to Complainant stating that her ex-husband, is going to neighbors asking them to say that complainant is being a prostitute.  The complainant was advised of available remedies and solutions.  Report taken.
  • Burglary-In Progress at Norris Street. A witness who was watching the house saw a male go on the front porch and take a floor sander. Contact was made with male. After speaking to the owner of the house he advised he did not care if male took the property. Barrett was released, and he took the property home with him. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person at North Broad Street in reference to a white male carrying a guitar case but did not appear that it had a guitar. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Meet with Citizen at W Spring St. Contact was made with male who had questions about seeing a suspicious person. He was advised to give us a call if he were to see him again.
  • Juvenile Complaint at Hubbard Street and East Washington Street in reference to juveniles skateboarding in the roadway.  Juveniles advised to stay out of the roadway.
  • Meet with Officer, North Broad Street. Female had questions on ways to get home to North Carolina. She advised her boyfriend was arrested and took all of her money. She was advised of getting a bus ticket or speaking to the shelter in Athens.
  • Damage to Property at custom Way in reference to a window on the residence that was possibly shot with a BB gun sometime in the past week.  Report taken.
  • Fire Assist on Hwy 138 near Alcovy River. Vehicle ran out of gas and started a small brush fire. Gas was put in the car by a citizen and the vehicle was back running.
  • Domestic at Carver Drive. Daughter verbally disputing with her father.  Father said he was not going to have a child disrespecting him in his house.
  • Agency Assist Reference WCSO receiving a hit on a stolen plate in the direction of Highway 138 towards Monroe on a Ford Fusion.  Negative contact.
  • Agency Assist Duke St., DFACS worker asked for officer to assist in a Welfare check of two small children. Made contact with the mother and her boyfriend. Report taken.
  • Dispute at North Broad St., Made contact with complainants. They stated a male had asked them to watch his dog, and they agreed. The dogs had puppies and they both agreed to sell the dogs. Male arrived today to pick up his dog but as he left he took one of the puppies. Report taken
  • Suspicious Person, East Washington APT., Reference to Mr. Dexter Foster on location beating on the door. Mr. Foster was arrested for Public Drunkenness and Criminal Trespass due to Mr. Foster being banned from housing.
  • Dispute South Broad St and Atha St (Chevron). Complainant was giving a friend by the name “baby boy” a ride home when they stopped at the Chevron. Baby boy was taking too long inside the store and when complainant told him to hurry up, he became hostile towards her. “Baby boy” was not on scene when officer arrived report taken.
  • Discharge of Firearms Pine Park St and Mears St., Anonymous caller advised they heard 2 shotgun shots fired. conducted an area check and was unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Warrant Service Gwinnett County Jail, Allison Pardue was picked up by Gwinnett County on warrant out of Monroe for failure to appear. Allison was picked up from Gwinnett and transported to the Walton County Jail. Report taken
  • Dispute, Towler St., complainant stated that his step daughter came at him with a bottle.  The stepdaughter was gone when officers arrived.  Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Walker Drive in reference to a green passenger car with a drive out tag that pulled out in front of the complainant.  Negative contact.
  • Illegal Dumping, West Fambrough Street in reference to a white GMC Yukon with a trailer leaving a table on the side of the road on West Fambrough.  Unable to see a tag on vehicle or trailer on store camera footage.  Report taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint, East Marable St., mother arguing with her 15-year-old daughter about how she is acting. Mother said that her daughter is supposed to be on mental health medication but has not been on it for a while and has begun acting out and sometimes being violent towards other people. Was advised she could take her to Clearview for a mental evaluation and she said that she would.
  • Dispute, South Madison Avenue (Fish) in reference to male subject not leaving the location. Subject was gone when officers arrived.
  • Traffic Stop at Highway 78 E / Southview Drive. Vehicle Impounded by towing co., driver cited for Cancelled Registration from 03/2017.
  • Suspicious vehicle on Hwy 78 @ Troy Smith in reference to a White truck driving reckless.  Negative contact.
  • Domestic, Pine Park St., complainant said her child’s father, kicked in her front door, threw her against the wall and began throwing furniture around. Complainant ran their baby to her mother’s for safety.  Father lives on Chestnut Lane with his grandmother. Warrant to be taken on father for Simple Battery-FV and Criminal Trespass
  • Welfare check on South Broad Street at All Star Storage in reference to female not answering the phone.  Canceled by complainant prior to arrival.
  • Dispute, Walker Drive. Dispatch advised a woman was on the line and sounded distressed. Dispatch lost the call and pin mapped to this address. No contact with anyone at the residence. All ok.
