Monroe PD Reports: Juveniles charged with shoplifting, entering autos

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period May 25 – 31, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle, 78-Unicia, reference to a Chevy HHR unable to maintain lane. Vehicle in county before units arrived.
  • Illegal Dumping, Green St., complainant advised she had dirty diapers in her yard. Prior to Officer arrival, complainant left the area and advised she would call back later.
  • Dispute, Harris St., complainant advised female subject showed up at his residence this date around 0600 hours wanting inside the residence. She broke one of the glass panels to the front window and damaged the blinds trying to enter the residence. Report taken.
  • Unsecured Premises, South Madison Ave., an open door was located at the old paintball building. The building was cleared, and all appeared ok.
  • Warrant Served, Baron Dr., reference to Jacorian Carr being on location with an active warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Carr was arrested and transported to WCSO.
  • Entering Auto, King St., complainant advised an unknown subject entered her vehicle and took her Pink wallet containing her ID and debit cards, and $500.00 in cash from the center console. Report taken
  • Dispute, Maple Lane, reference to complainant and his neighbor verbally disputing. The situation was mediated.
  • Dispute, East Spring St., complainant stated his brother was messing with him and refusing to give his property back. Complainant stated he owed James $150. Complainant stated he wanted Officers on location to witness the exchange of property and money. Brother never showed up.
  • Traffic Stop/Warrant Served, West Spring St., /Pine Crest Dr., J D Presley was stopped for a brake light violation. After checking the driver through GCIC, Presley returned with an outstanding warrant through Conyers PD. Presley was taken into custody and transported to Black Ink and released to Conyers PD.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to two juveniles in custody. 15-year-old and 13 years were caught taking three flare guns and BBs for a BB gun. Both juveniles were taken home and released to their guardians. They were both served with a criminal trespass for one year from Walmart.
  • Suspicious Person, South Broad St., Trading Place, reference to male subject acting irate and verbally disputing with staff. The staff declined a criminal trespass warning and just wanted subject to leave. Subject left without issue. All ok.
  • Meet with Officer, Michael Circle, reference to subjects going door to door selling books. The subjects have a peddler’s permit. All ok.
  • Traffic Stop, Church St./Harris St., Mario Brooks was arrested for a probation violation warrant through WCSO. His dirt-bike was impounded by towing company.
  • Entering Auto, Alcovy St., complainant advised someone entered her 2017 GMC Acadia sometime between Monday May 21, 2018 and this date. Her SCCY hand gun, ZTE Overture 3 cell phone and loose change were taken. Both the gun and cell phone were placed on GCIC by Walton County Dispatch.
  • Dispute, Carver Place, reference to a neighbor not wanting a child to play in another neighbor’s yard. Situation mediated.
  • Suicide Threats, Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview, reference to an employee of Ridgeview, reporting a former patient was calling from Tennessee making threats. Patient stated he was outside a Publix in Nashville and stated he was going to take all of his pills and drink alcohol and be done with it. Report taken to document the incident. 
  • Dispute, Alcovy St., American Legion, reference to a physical altercation that occurred between two roommates on 5/23/2018 on Alcovy St. Report taken.
  • Theft from Vehicle, South Madison Ave., Felker Park, reference to items located near creek. Made contact with owner who was unaware items were taken. Advised she was in Felker Park during the day and was unable to find her wallet when she left. All items recovered except for wallet and $60.
  • Juvenile Complaint, New Lacey St., two subjects disputing over their children’s behaviors.  They were advised to stay away from each other.
  • Dispute, Hill St., male subject intoxicated and bothering family members.  He was advised to go home and stay away from everyone.
  • Harassing Calls, Green St., reference to mother reporting her son has received 3 Facetime calls from an unknown Hispanic male subject. Report taken 
  • Entering Auto, Creekview Dr., reference to complainant stating the door to her Toyota Corolla was found open and a jacket that was in her car was found at the entrance of the neighborhood. Complainant stated nothing was taken from vehicle and requested extra patrol. Report declined. 
  • Suspicious Person, Bridgeport Lane, reference to a male riding a dirt bike in area. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Missing Item, MLK Jr Blvd., Applebee’s, reference to complainant reporting her wallet missing. She advised she was on location last date and remembered paying the check, she stated she is unsure what happened to the wallet. Follow up will be conducted with management next date to review camera footage. Report taken
  • Intoxicated Person, South Madison, reference to an intoxicated person who fell off a bicycle. Male subject just requested a ride home to Washington Street.
  • Dispute, Green St., reference to complainant disputing with male subject. Subject GOA upon officer arrival
  • Domestic, Davis St., reference to mother believing her son was abused by his father. Checked child who did not have any injury and said there was nothing physical between him and his father. Report taken
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Matthews Park, Individual playing glow frisbee golf.  Advised the park was closed after sunset.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Walton St., reference to a motorcycle in the area. Negative contact with any motorcycles.
  • Dispute, Meadow Ct., reference to complainant wanting someone to talk to due to Monday being Memorial Day. Complainant is a Vietnam veteran and suffers from PTSD. Complainant and his girlfriend had a verbal argument due to complainant being intoxicated and upset. Report taken
  • Noise Complaint, West Fambrough St., reference to loud music coming from Fambrough Street. Complainant advised music was turned off before police arrived. Checked area with no music heard.
  • Wreckless Driving, West Fifth St., reference to tan van driving fast through construction area. Area checked with negative contact. Driver of van lives near the end of Fifth Street.
  • Loud Party, Cook St., large party in the hole.  Disbanded upon officer’s arrival. 
  • Fight, Cook St., group fighting in the street. Negative contact with anyone fighting at this time.
  • Suspicious Persons, Alcovy St., front of the American Legion, reference to two subjects walking on the road way. They advised they were at a graduation party and were heading home. They were transported to Country Grove and turned over to parent, she was issued and written warning for parental responsibility. Field interview conducted and submitted 
  • Narcotics, Cook St., reference to a complaint of individuals doing pills in the parking lot.  Negative contact with anyone in the area.
  • Assault, Towler St., reference to an assault that occurred on Cook St. around midnight involving pepper spray. Report taken.
  • Meet with Officer, McDaniel St., reference to pit bulls running loose and being vicious. Officers attempted to make contact with owner on McDaniel St. but had negative contact. WCAC responded and both dogs were apprehended.
  • Mental Subject, East Church St., subject on location refusing to take his medication. After speaking with EMS personnel, subject was transported to Piedmont Walton.
  • Suspicious Person, Perry St./North Broad St., Darron Stanford was on location with an outstanding FTA warrant through MPD. Stanford was taken into custody and transported to the PD for fingerprints. Stanford was released to Walton County Jail. Stanford was removed from GCIC by Walton County Communications.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Alcovy St./Country Club Dr., reference to a white Honda Civic driving reckless. Officers had negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person, Alcovy St., Officers checked the area on foot for subjects living in the woods. Officers had negative contact.
  • Animal Abuse, North Broad St. in the area of Church’s Chicken. Officer made contact with male subject who advised he was trying to walk to Tanglewood with his 3 large dogs and his clothing. The dogs appeared to be ok. Officer drove subject and his dogs to Tanglewood Drive.
  • Dispute, Maple Lane/Maple Place Townhomes, reference to male and female verbally disputing. Parties were separated. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, Bryant Rd., reference to a young black male going door to door asking for work.  Officers had negative contact.
  • Burglary, West Tall Oaks, mother advised someone broke her rear bedroom window. She suspects her son is a suspect. Report taken.
