Monroe PD Reports: Man accused of exposing himself says pants fell down

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 29 to April 5, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Fight, Bridgeport Place, reference to juveniles fighting. Situation mediated, parties separated.
  • Hit & Run, Bryant Road. Contact made with complainant who stated a beige Chevy Malibu struck him from behind while he was at the light on North Broad Street and Marable Street. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Persons,West Spring St./Highway 78 West, reference to two white females sitting on the side of the highway. Contact made with females who stated they were just taking a break from walking. Both females given a ride to their vehicle at Walmart.
  • Suspicious Person, Well Fargo, reference to a Hispanic male attempting to sell marijuana.  Negative contact upon officer’s arrival.
  • Vehicle Lockout, Dunkin Doughnuts, David Engstorn was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. This is the Hispanic male from the above call.
  • Damage to Property, Gatewood Dr., complainant advised juveniles were damaging her yard. Officer had negative contact with the said juveniles.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad/ Hwy 78, reference to a Jeep with unrestrained child. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Shoplifting, Walmart, reference to Ashley Morris shoplifting. Arrested and issued criminal trespass warning.
  • Injured Canine, Mill St., a small Yorkie mix as dumped out of a vehicle on Pine Park and Mill Street.  The canine was checked by Animal Control.
  • Juvenile Complaint, East Marable St., Juvenile would not get in the vehicle upon arrival.  Juvenile got into the vehicle and left with the mother.
  • Domestic, North Broad St., Bojangles, reference complainant wanting named male subject out of her vehicle. Male subject got out of the vehicle and was transported to the Walton Truck Stop to wait for a ride.
  • Dispute, Knight St., reference to a neighbor cursing at children. Made contact with all parties and advised to stay away from each other.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Green St., reference to hearing vehicle playing loud music.  Asked for more patrol in the area.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East Highland Ave., reference to a Gold Ford Ranger parked. Vehicle was not stolen, and the owner was not near the vehicle. 
  • Illegal Parking, Rose Ison Terrace, reference to vehicles improperly parked and subjects dancing in the roadway. Upon arrival officers noticed a large crowd on location. Tenant advised she would shut down the party. Everyone left peacefully.
  • Vehicle Collision, North Broad/Hwy 78, reference to two vehicle accident. Minor injury complaint. At fault driver arrested for hit and run and driving under the influence.
  • Suspicious Person, Green St., reference to a subject in the yard. Spoke to complainant who advised she did not call but called earlier regarding loud music. Everything on location ok.
  • Discharging Firearms in the area of Cook St.  and the Old Carver school. Complainant requested to meet on Cook Street. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Damage to Property, Nowell St., reference to a window breaking. Cannot determine the cause of the break. Report for documentation.
  • Agency Assist, Atha St., reference to a male subject fleeing on foot from Georgia State Patrol during a traffic stop. Warrants to be taken on male subject by GSP.
  • Juvenile Problem, East Marable St., juvenile acting unruly and not taking her medication.  She took her medication and went to bed after officers arrived.  Ongoing issues.
  • Entering Auto, West 5th St., Unknown juveniles attempted to steal from complainant’s unlocked Chevrolet pickup truck. No items were taken as the subjects were scared off by a neighbor who was outside smoking a cigarette.
  • Wanted Person, Hammond Dr., Hammond Park, reference to locating Demario Sorrells who had warrants for his arrest. Arrested and transported to Walton County Jail.
  • Follow-Up, West 5th St., reference to a black BMW driven by a white male, dropping off another male in the area. Unknown if the person dropped someone off at their home. Requested extra patrol.
  • Dispute, New Lacey St., reference to complainant trying to get his phone from his brother who was intoxicated. Property retrieved. 
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Matthews Park, two vehicles parked in the parking lot.  They were advised to park elsewhere.
  • Hit and Run, Rose Ison Terrace, reference to a gold colored Expedition being struck by possible an 81-85 Monte Carlo that left the scene.
  • Dispute, G W Carver Dr., reference to not leaving residence when complainant told her to. Was given a ride to Loganville by complainant.
  • Suspicious Activity, South Broad St., officer observed an open door to the vacant residence while conducting an area check. Residence cleared with negative findings. Residence was rescued. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, North Broad St., reference to a black BMW failing to maintain lane. Officer followed the vehicle, and all appeared ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to juveniles left unattended in a vehicle. The complainant called back and advised to cancel.
  • EMS Assist, Ash St., reference to subject having an anxiety attack and thoughts of suicide. Subject was turned over to EMS and transported to Clearview.
  • Follow Up, West 5th St., complainant wanted to add that his son’s wallet was taken from the vehicle involved in the entering auto last night. Supplemental added. 
  • Entering Auto, Colquitt. St., complainant advised an unknown subject entered two of his vehicles. No items were taken. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Broad St./West 5th St., reference to the black BMW involved in the entering auto on West 5th Street spotted in the area. Complainant advised the vehicle passed his residence towards town right after Officer left. Officer had negative contact with the vehicle in the area. Officer remembered passing said vehicle from previous call and identified the driver whom owns a black 1996 BMW 328I.
  • Traffic Stop, Highway 78/Jim Daws Rd., driver was stopped for a traffic offense. Her son and rear seat passenger, Ramone Beasley, was found to have two warrants for his arrest out of Clarke and Oconee County.  Mr. Beasley was arrested and turned over to an Oconee County Sheriff’s Deputy at Striplings store.
  • Theft Report, West Spring St., Walmart, complainant advised she was missing her checkbook. Report taken.
  • Domestic Dispute, Michael Circle, Made contact with female subject. She stated she was having issues with her phone and was yelling. She advised everything was okay. Everyone else on location advised the same.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Metro PCS, reference to an elderly white in grey sweat pants exposing himself to the complainant. Made contact with male subject who stated his pants fell down. Male subject was served with a two-year criminal trespass warning.
  • Vehicle Lockout, West Spring St., Walmart, vehicle unlocked, no damage. After unlocking the vehicle, Officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Driver was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce and released.
  • Damage to Property, King St., complainant advised an unknown person/vehicle damaged her 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. Complainant did not know when or where the damage occurred.
