Monroe PD Reports: Melee at Huddle House; Domestic disputes and reports of gunshots fired

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between Oct. 27 – Nov. 2, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle, Old Mill Run in reference to a car parked in the cul-de-sac at the far end of Old Mill Run.  Occupied by three male subjects everything ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Davis Street in reference to a group of Juveniles throwing rocks at the building on South Madison Ave.  Negative contact with Juveniles.
  • Property Retrieval, Wheelhouse Lane in reference to complainant wanting to get her items from the residence peacefully I spoke with female who lives at the residence she stated everything was ok.
  • Rape report taken at South Broad Street. Father wanted to make a report in regard to his 15-year-old daughter, possibly having sexual relations with her mother’s adult boyfriend. Father stated that his daughter had knowledge that the mother’s boyfriend had a tattoo on his private area.  Met with daughter and her mother, on Pierce Street.  Daughter stated she knew about the tattoo because her mother told her about it. And also stated she sometimes has trouble determining the difference between a dream and reality.  Report taken CID notified.
  • Juvenile Complaint, East Marable Street in reference to juvenile complaint.  I spoke with the store clerk she stated the juveniles were playing with a can of paint in the parking lot and threw it on the ground causing it to spill.  Juveniles were gone on arrival.  Report Declined
  • Dispute, South Broad Street in reference to male subject who has schizophrenia yelling racial slurs at the caretaker.  Situation mediated.
  • 911 Hang Up, Plaza Drive.  Knocked on all door in the area with negative contact from anyone.  Everything appeared ok
  • Welfare Check at Ridgeview in reference to a patient running away from the facility.  Escorted him back and they signed a medical order to hold him.  Turned over to Ridgeview staff without incident.
  • 911 Hang Up, New Lacy Street in reference to juveniles playing on the phone negative contact made.  Everything appeared ok.
  • Dispute, W. Marable St., complainant went to N. Midland Ave. to retrieve her benefits card due to not being cared for correctly. Card was retrieved from female subject, all ok. Report taken
  • Domestic dispute, Davis St., two subjects disputing over a gathering at residence. One wanted the other to leave and the parties disputed. All ok.
  • Officer’s called back to Davis St. w/ above call in regard to complainant stating named female bit her and put hands on her. Marks were visible but old and appeared to be self-inflicted. Report taken.
  • Suspicious vehicles, Clearview Dr. in regard to three trucks parked next to woods. Area checked w/ negative contact.
  • Suspicious person @ Plaza Dr. walking towards W. Spring St. in regard to W/M who appeared intoxicated and vehicle driven by female was trying to get him in vehicle. Area checked w/ negative contact
  • Follow up at Walmart in regard to shoplifting previous date. Evidence collected, and suspect tracked to Michael Etchison Rd. Contact made w/ Charles Blade who was arrested and cited for shoplifting and also had warrant through MPD. Blade fingerprinted and turned over to Walton County Jail.
  • Domestic dispute, Maple St., father advised his 18-year-old son was being disrespectful. Situation mediated, all ok.
  • Threats, Lawrence St., complainant stated named subject was sending him threatening messages via “chat” about wanting to fight over a female. He was advised of civil remedies, no factual threats made
  • Suspicious vehicle at Tractor Supply in regard to red Ford F-150 speeding/reckless. Area as checked w/ negative contact.
  • Domestic dispute/violent, W. Marable St. in regard to female advising she saw black male dragging black female up the street and striking her with possible firearm. Caller advised she waited 15 minutes before calling 911.
  • Area was checked and no sounds of distress or anybody needing help.
  • Dispute, Fuzions, N. Broad St. in regard to white male in orange shirt disputing with unknown person and anonymous caller advised the male stated he was going to his vehicle to “get something” and then come back. Area checked, and staff was unaware of any dispute. All appeared ok.
  • Gunshots heard @ Wheelhouse Ln. 3 anonymous callers all advised of hearing 4-5 gunshots in area. Area was checked on foot with negative contact.
  • Suspicious vehicle/person @ Bojangles’s. Maraio Vinson on location waiting for food at Waffle House. Vinson had active warrants through WCSO and was arrested and transported to Walton County Jail. Vehicle was turned over to owner.
  • Gunshots heard, Wheelhouse Ln. 2-3 anonymous callers advised hearing 4-5 gunshots in area and then saw black male juveniles run back behind apartments. Area checked on foot again as well as Monroe Airport. Negative contact
  • Fight call, Huddle House. Caller advised 16 people actively fighting inside restaurant. Arrived on scene and all suspects were gone. Staff advised group of customers became irate when asked to leave because they were being too loud and charged at the staff. Staff advised they were all OK and all people left in vehicles.
  • Theft, Nowell Street, complainant advised someone stole the GA temp – Tag from the rear of his vehicle sometimes between 0030 hours and 0925 hours this date.  He stated the screws were sticking out on the rear of his vehicle which leads him to believe it was stolen.  Tag was placed on GCIC as stolen.
  • Welfare Check, Store House Court, called in third party stated named male subject was stated to have a gunshot wound to the hand.  Residence advised subject came to their residence during the night with an injury to his hand.  She advised he had been at Old Mill Point with a named subject drinking.  Five males supposedly jumped him and held a gun to his head.  He ran to her residence.  Named male subject left when police were en-route to the residence.  Attempted to locate him to get first party information but could not locate him or locate anyone with firsthand knowledge of what took place. Everyone stated that he had an injury to his hand, but it was not a gunshot wound.
  • Traffic Stop, East Church Street / Barron Drive.  Subject stopped for failure to maintain lane and window tint.  Her license was suspended.  She was cited and fingerprinted and released. Vehicle towed by towing company.
  • Civil Issue, Plaza Drive, complainant requested a report in a report in regard to her ex-boyfriend, refusing to give back her key to her residence.  She is afraid he may burglarize the residence.  She was advised to document her valuables in case they went missing.
  • Unknown Law, Brooklyn Court.  In reference to 3-year-old son pressing the on-star SOS button on the mirror of his car.
  • Agency Assist, Felker Street, Loganville Police wanting to make contact with male subject in reference to property found.  Subject no longer lives at that residence.
