Monroe PD Reports: Suicide attempt, mental evaluations, juvenile and domestic disputes dominate

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period 16 – 22, 2018. Due to the length of this report, it has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Recovered Stolen Vehicle, MLK Jr. Blvd., reference to a 2018 Ford F-150 reported stolen from Enterprise Rental at the Nashville International Airport.  The vehicle was dropped off sometime after hours last date at the Monroe Enterprise location.  Employee stated they needed to vehicle recovered and removed off of GCIC so it can be rented out again.  Report taken.
  • Traffic stop made contact with driver who provided a false name. After questioning was identified at Lisa King. She was arrested and cited report taken.
  • Meet with Subject) in Monroe PD lobby.  Grandmother wanted to report her grandchild being bullied.  She did not have any information.  She was advised to have mother come back with information for report.
  • Dispute, South Madison Ave., Situation mediated
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks Lane, the complainant called in reference to not wanting named subject on location.  She was GOA.  It was explained to complainant due to her on living there two weeks he had the right to ask her to leave.  He was advised if she comes back to call reference to a criminal trespass warning.
  • Follow Up, Camptown Gardens, reference to hit and run case. Met with the caller who showed the officer a vehicle that she believed hit her car on
  • Dispute, Citi Trendz, reference to a civil issue over a vehicle. The complainant advised he let named subject borrow his vehicle earlier this date.  He was attempting to report the vehicle stolen till he found it parked at Citi Trendz. He attempted to cancel call while en route.  The civil process was explained to him and he stated he was not worried about it due to having his vehicle back.  All ok.
  • Property Damage, Rose Ison Terrace, complainant advised that on Sunday, March 18 she was driving on Sorrells Street and hit a pothole in the road causing damage to the rim.  She requested a report.
  • Illegal Parking, Dollar Tree, reference to a white vehicle parked illegally. Negative contact with any vehicles matching the description.
  • Dispute, King’s Ridge Dr., complainant stated his wife was yelling because he did not purchase a battery. Situation mediated. Report taken.
  • Dispute, 6th St., a 16-year-old female called in reference to a civil dispute with her aunt and uncle. She was not happy with how her uncle disciplined the children at the residence. She does not live there and was advised to leave if she did not like how the parents of the house punished their children. 16-year-old called her mother to get her from the home.
  • Burglary in progress, Southview Dr., Female on location advised her mother stated she believed someone was trying to break in.  Spoke to the neighbor while clearing the exterior of the residence.  He advised that he checked on the dog at Southview around the time the call came in.  Spoke to the daughter on the scene who confirmed she only saw someone in the yard.  It was determined the neighbor is who she saw.  All ok.
  • Domestic Dispute, Wheel House Ln. Travious Archie called because he was in a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend. He was determined to be the primary aggressor and arrested for simple battery.
  • Traffic Stop, East Spring St./Ford St., a driver was stopped for no insurance. She was issued a citation and the Nissan Altima was towed by towing company
  • Mental Subject, South Broad St., Hardees, male subject on location mentally distraught.  The male subject was given a courtesy escort to Clearview Medical for a mental evaluation per his request.
  • Mental Subject, Alcovy St., reference to female subject on location advising FISH MD Staff that she wanted to kill her husband. The female subject was taken to Clearview for a mental evaluation.
  • Domestic Dispute, Atha St., complainant stated that she and her husband got into an argument on their way home from work. The complainant stated her husband threatened to beat her face. Upon arrival to their residence, the complainant was afraid of her husband and refused to let him into the residence. Husband took a brick and busted out the back-door window to make entry into the residence. The landlord denied pressing charges. A report was taken.
  • Theft, Hwy 78/Walton Truck Stop, reference to a female employee taking money out of the register. The owner advised his employee had been stealing money out of the cash register. He declined prosecution. The employee was served with a criminal trespass notice (1 year) and told to leave the property.
  • Dispute, Alcovy Str., reference to a female subject being intoxicated. Situation mediated.
  • Dispute, Launius Ave., two subjects verbally disputing about lost keys. One subject wanted another subject to leave the residence, but that subject’s child lost her keys. Both females searched the residence and could not find the keys. The vehicle was unlocked, and insurance status was verified on the subject that owned the vehicle. She left the residence using a spare key. All okay.
  • Dispute, Rose Ison Terrace. Called in by third party, reference to the complainant hearing a verbal dispute from this residence. Officer made contact with the resident who stated an unknown individual came to their door. They stated the person had the wrong address and left. Everything was okay.
  • Lost Juveniles, Lacy St./Pine Park St., reference to a 6-year-old and 7-year-old who got off at the wrong bus stop.  Juveniles were located.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Taco Bell, the complainant advised an older white female driving a tan Durango (TAG#given) was feeding cats and would not leave the property. Subject was gone when police arrived. The complainant was advised to contact police if the female returned.
  • Dispute, Gliding Lane, reference to complainant wanting named subject to stop holding her dog and put it in the kennel. Situation mediated.
  • Domestic, E Sorrells St., reference to male subject kicking in the front door of the complainant.
  • Juvenile Complaint, South Broad St., reference to son being disrespectful to his mother, situation mediated.
  • Dispute, Gliding Lane, reference to complainant wanting named female subject out of his home, both parties were advised of the eviction process. The female subject stated she was packing her things and moving back to Madison GA. Everything on location ok, report taken.
  • Theft Report, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to $200 dollars being stolen out of complainant’s blue purse after she left it in the bathroom.
  • EMS Assist, East Spring St., B&M Performance, reference to a male subject being on location intoxicated, mother of the subject called concerned for his safety. The subject was transported to Clearview to be checked out everything on location ok.
  • Meet with Citizen, East Spring St., B&M Performance, reference to the owner of B&M Performance wanting to know if named subject was ok from above call, he was advised everything was ok.
  • Suicide Attempt, North Broad St., reference to a female subject taking unknown about of pills.  Turned over to Walton EMS.
  • Assist Citizen, West Spring St., Quality Foods, reference to a citizen want an escort to her home located on West Highland Avenue due to the power being out, everything on location ok.
  • Child Custody, West Creek Cir., reference to mother upset because her daughter did not have her grandson home by 2100hrs, daughter is the legal custodian of her son Mother was advised her daughter was able to make those decisions due to being the child custodian. Everything on location ok.
  • Wanted Person, Alcovy St., reference to a male subject on location with a probation violation warrant through WCSO. The subject fled the scene on Officer arrival. Officers searched the area with negative results.
  • Traffic Stop, Hwy 78 EB / Aycock Ave. Silver Hyundai Sonata (GA tag #) stopped for no insurance. Driver obtained insurance. She was released on a copy of citation for possession of marijuana.
  • Domestic Dispute, Lopez Lane, Officer made contact with mother who stated she was yelling at her son for being late to work. Mother advised son had already left to go to work prior to arrival. She advised her other son, who lives in Buford called the police. All ok.
  • Wanted Person, Alcovy St., Georgia Probation Management. Shenikie Harris was arrested on a probation violation warrant. She was transported to the Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Suspicious Person, East Church St., reference to a female on a bike riding through traffic begging for money. Negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person, MLK Jr Boulevard, Applebees, reference to the occupant of a red in color passenger car pointing a weapon at the complainant and tailgating. The area was checked with negative contact.
  • Counterfeit, West Spring St., Quality Foods, reference to a customer attempting to use a Counterfeit $20 bill to purchase items. Subject GOA, area was checked with negative contact. Counterfeit bill placed into Evidence.
  • Suspicious Person, East Washington St., Synovus Bank, reference to a female on location panhandling. Female was located at the post office. She was advised to stop panhandling in the area.
  • Domestic Dispute, Green St., Made contact with the complainant who stated named female was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. She advised that named female attempted to attack another female but couldn’t advise any further details. Both females were GOA upon arrival. One female has an active warrant through WCSO for drug possession. Area check conducted with negative contact.
  • Runaway Juvenile, Georgia Ave., reference to a 14-year juvenile wearing tan pants, red shirt, and black jacket left the location approximately 10 minutes ago. Male was located on Georgia Ave walking back towards DFCS. He advised the officer a different name but went back to DFCS without issue. He was turned over to DFCS.
  • EMS Assist, Marable Lane, reference to the resident falling and not being able to open the door. Entry was made into the residence. TOT EMS.
  • Dispute, East Tall Oaks, complainant stated he suspected named male of damaging his porch chairs.  The complainant advised he did not actually see named male damage the chairs.  Extra patrol requested.
  • Theft, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to a black male taking two Hoverboards. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hubbard St., reference to the truck is an abandoned vehicle, the residents were advised they could have it towed due to it being on there property,
  • Missing Person, Mill Stone Bluff, mother reporting her children had not arrived home from school, the children were getting off the bus upon the officer’s arrival. Everything on location ok.
  • Follow Up from above call, East Tall Oaks, reference to named male about breaking a chair belonging complainant, named male advised he did not break the chair.
  • Warrant, E Sorrell St., reference to Alexius Lackey. Arrested for FV battery warrant.
  • EMS Assist, Baron Dr., reference to a male subject having too much to drink and passing out in the driveway. Everything on scene ok, turned over to EMS.
  • Suicide Attempt, Wheel House Lane Apt., reference to the subject taking 14 lithium pills.  Turned over to EMS who transported to Clearview.
  • Agency Assist, Pine Park/Mill St., reference to GSP conducting a traffic stop and hearing gunshots in the area. While on Scene there were more gunshots heard, an area check was conducted of the Harris, Davis and Lacy Street area. While conducting the area check dispatch received several calls about the gunshots. Negative contact.
  • Suspicious Persons, Knight St./Pine Park made contact with male and female subjects, everything on location ok.
  • Suspicious Person, Alcovy St./Fairway Dr., assisted WCSO with an intoxicated female.  Female was given a ride back to her residence on Davis Street.
  • Suspicious Person, Highschool Ave./East Washington St. made contact with a female, she advised she was walking to her mother’s house on Ash Street. Everything on location ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint, East Marable St., the mother wanted to know what to do if her daughter does not get up to go to school.
