Monroe PD Reports: Suspicious vehicle containing two clowns reported

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between April 7 – 13, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.

  • Juvenile complaint, Ridge Road. in regards to seven juveniles from King Street on the playground. Uncle to three juveniles arrived on scene looking for them. All juveniles taken back to King Street.
  • Area Check, West Vine Street in reference to get information about a possible meth lab in the area.  Area was checked and nothing was found.
  • Harassment, South Broad Street in reference to complainant wanting female subject to stop texting her.  Situation meditated.
  • Suspicious person, East Spring Street (Monroe Motor Inn) callers said someone was screaming in the parking lot.  Quinzay Jones and female arguing.  No crimes committed.  Jones arrested for warrants out of Walton County probation
  • Assisted Motorist at Highway 78 near Cherry Hill Road.  Vehicle ran out of gas.  Stood by to make sure no one hits the vehicle while family members brought them gas.  Vehicle removed from highway after getting gas.
  • Suspicious person, Ash Street, complainant said someone was on her porch and unscrewed her light bulb.  Checked the area and did not find anyone.  She’s collecting her things and leaving for the night.
  • Dispute, West Tall Oaks/ Tall Oaks Drive.  Caller said someone was disputing on the street.  No contact made with anyone outside.
  • Unknown Problem at GW Carver / Carver Drive.  Female called 911 screaming only able to map it to that area.  Unable to locate anyone in the area in distress.
  • Suspicious Activity, North Midland Ave.  Car door was found opened by a neighbor and the owner was located.  Stated she forgot to close it.
  • Suspicious Activity, South Broad Street (Hardees) male subject was found in the parking lot asleep.  Advised to find another place to sleep
  • Officer’s called to Launius Ave.  Advised that the subject on Launius Ave is selling 38D (drugs).  Advised that he works at Pizza Hut and also sells out of the back door of Pizza Hut.  Red Chevy Avalanche in the driveway.  Vehicle registered to a named subject on W. Tall Oaks Dr.
  • Animal Complaint, Parkway Pl.  K9 was lose and scared the complainant.  K9 was secured in a crate behind residence.
  • Dispute, Pine park St., complainant advised that named male subject held her in the residence against her will.  Male subject has medical issues and off his medication.  Complainant left the residence to allow male subject to take his medication and calm down.
  • Welfare check, E. Marable St., patient is blind and bed ridden.  She refused to go to the hospital but the home health care aid advised that her company was filling a report with Adult Protective Services contacted officer due to the roof caving in and toilet said to be flushing straight to the ground and not in the sewer.
  • Dispute, N. Broad St., male and female disputing.  Verbal only at that time.
  • Burglary, Ford St., complainant came home to find his back door pried open and his safe missing.  Advised safe had documents and medication inside.  Nothing else appeared to be missing at that time.
  • Animal complaint, Store House Ct., caller wanted to advise Animal Control of loose dogs in the area, Animal Control advised.
  • Civil issue, West Vine St., mother advised she is in middle of divorce and her husband, he came to took the children (9 and 4) and took them to his residence in Southside. Advised on proper paperwork procedures.
  • Child custody dispute, Southside MHP, Ref to above call. Advised male subject of same procedures, all ok.
  • Disturbing the peace East Fambrough St. near the RR tracks. Subject testing race car, all ok.
  • Domestic problem, Walker Dr., two subjects arguing over one moving out. Parties separated, all ok.
  • Disturbing the peace, East Church St. Contact made with female subject who advised she and family having s’mores, all ok.
  • Animal call, injured on East Marable St., complainant found injured k9 on the side of the road. Dog not hurt bad enough to put down, Animal Control responded and took the K9.
  • Warrant pick up from Rockdale County SO. Stacie Ray given escort to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Suspicious vehicle, East Church St. Anno caller advised gold Dodge Durango driven by named subject GOA towards the county. Area checked with negative contact, advised WCSO.
  • Stopping suspicious vehicle, Highway 78 EB and Southview Dr. Vehicle smelled of 38D and was searched. driver cited for headlight, another male subject cited for DOC and locking vehicle upon exiting. Bong and firearm located in vehicle.
  • Harassing phone calls, South Madison Ave., Quick Pick Food Mart, complainant advised his ex keeps texting him. Advised of remedies.
  • Fight call, Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview Asylum. 16-year-old male subject on active medical condition attacked staff with a broom stick. Medicated and put in seclusion room.
  • Suspicious subject, Conestoga Mobile Home Park.  Shane Wilburn arrested for Criminal Trespass.
  • Dispute, Forrest Ln., two subjects were cited for disorderly conduct.  Parties separated.
  • Juvenile runaway, Plaza Dr., complainant advised she had not seen her daughter since 4/11/17.  Advised she had communication by text but nothing in person.  Daughter did not go to school this date either.  Daughter was placed on GCIC.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of Hwy 138 towards the city.  Trash truck losing trash.  Got out with truck @ 138/78.  All ok.
  • Hit and run in the area of S. Broad St/Court St.  S.O. made contact with vehicle outside Social Circle.  Citation issued and accident report completed.
  • Harassment report, Tanglewood Dr., complainant advised a named male subject mailed her a letter wanting his $100 back or he would take out a warrant.  She was advised to pay male subject if she owed him money.
  • Illegal Dumping, Carwood Dr.  Resident advised someone had been dumping leaves and pine straw in their ditch.  Appeared to have been there for a period of time.  All ok.
  • Warrant Pick up, Alcovy St.  Edmond Duffy arrested for probation violation.
  • Shots fired, Lacy St.  Subject said to be shot.  Entry made into address on Lacy St due to exigent circumstances.  No blood found nor shell casings.  Later information was provided that named subject was said to be the shooter and he left in a Yellow Camaro.
  • Suspicious person, Downtown Monroe. Male subject sitting on bench outside of store making shoppers feel nervous. Asked to leave area. Retrieved counterfeit $100.00 bill from his possession to be logged into evidence.
  • Citizen flag down officer, Downtown Monroe. Flagged down by female who stated male subject is harassing her by text. Advised of remedies of documenting the text messages before filing charges.
  • Unlock vehicle, West Spring St., Wal-Mart. 10 month old juvenile locked in vehicle secured in car seat, vehicle was running. Vehicle open, no damage.
  • Juvenile complaint, Ridge Rd., complainant advised her neighbors kids constantly harass her though the adjoining walls. Negative contact with anyone at adjoining apt. advised of remedies.
  • Harassment, Knight St., complainant had questions about the eviction process.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Glen Iris Dr. and Edwards St. Vehicle partially in the roadway and blocking view of stop sign. Vehicle impounded by towing company.
  • 911 hang up, Store House Ct., complainant wanted a group of juveniles to leave her yard. Juveniles GOA, all ok.
  • EMS assist, Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview Asylum. Female subject entered facility for mental treatment extremely intoxicated. Transported to Clearview by EMS.
  • Citizen flag down on West Spring St., Wal-Mart. Ref to a jacked up red truck with two subjects dressed up as clowns. Second caller advised they were following the vehicle and vehicle stopped at South Broad and Washington. Vehicle searched with consent with negative contact with clown related items.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Highway 11 SB towards Monroe. Ref to blue van failing to maintain lane and speeding. Vehicle stopped at South Broad and Fambrough. Driver checked out ok, elderly female with k9 in lap.
  • Request area check around Baker St., complainant advised she can hear a baby crying from her bathroom. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Juvenile complaint, Tanglewood Dr., complainant advised that a juvenile by nickname given took a key from her. Complaint got key back prior to officer arrival, all ok.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., Haven Inn. Ref to a hit and run, BOLO given to WCSO for second vehicle.
