Monroe PD Reports: Threat of suicide by cop, assault with knife, shovel, cinderblock and snake removed

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between April 28 – May 4, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an  arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Person at S. Broad Street at Atha Street; White male jumping out into traffic, male subject advised to head home.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Eastbound on Church Street; maroon Honda failing to maintain lane, negative contact.
  • Domestic problem, Chestnut Cupboard; Complainant is attempting to repo a vehicle that is the wrong vehicle, employee of Chestnut Cupboard proved his vehicle was not the one, repo man had no paperwork, advised to get proper documentation.
  • Civil Dispute at Walton County Sheriff’s Office; complainant reporting that male subject has her 2010 White Lincoln and will not return it, male subject has a valid warrants.  Negative contact in Conestoga with subject, complainant later advised getting her vehicle back.
  • Burglary, Turner Street; complainant advised he checked to see if tenant  moved out of his rental house, opened window and looked in.  Tenant confronted him about going into his apartment, tenant advised of landlord/tenant rights, denied going inside, but was told by tenant he was already out.  Civil dispute, eviction process explained.
  • Domestic problem, Davis Street; Verbal dispute between two subjects; subject refused to let complainant get property, civil matter.
  • Suspicious Person at Dollar General South Broad St; White male in yellow Chevy Cavalier walking around the outside of store, negative contact was gone.
  • Domestic problem, Walker Drive; female subject screaming being held down by a male subject, female subject advised hurting her knee and the male was her husband trying to help her, all ok
  • Civil Issue, Cook St., Comp advised that the landlord took her property out of residence, report taken.
  • Suicide Threats at unknown park near Monroe; male subject threatened suicide by cop, supposedly at a park, all city parks checked, negative contact, subject found by county without incident.
  • Theft Report, S. Broad Street; Complainant advised that his granddaughter and boyfriend stole $60 in a change jar.  Report taken.
  • Welfare Check at Complainant wanted Officer to check to see if wife was still at Walton Press since she had not returned, female later returned, all ok.
  • Welfare Check at Davis Street and Pine Park; Black female walking in area, appeared to have swollen face, possibly assaulted.  Negative contact with the female.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Southside, blue Ford Focus driven by. Intoxicated driver, negative contact.
  • Domestic problem, W. Marable Street, father advised his son was intoxicated, subject was gone, all ok.
  • Unknown problem, W. Marable St., Complainant stated that someone knocked on her front door, then ran off.  Negative contact with anyone in the area.  All ok.
  • Damage to property, Carwood Dr., Complainant reported that her and her neighbor’s mailbox had been knocked down.  Neighbor agreed to replace mailbox.
  • Juvenile Complaint, W. Tall Oaks Dr., Ref: juvenile refusing to go to school.  Situation mediated
  • Suspicious vehicle, Sims Gas for Less / W. Spring St., Ref: occupied vehicle parked next to the store.  All ok, Subject was eating breakfast and using Wi-Fi.
  • Theft / arrest, E. Spring Street / Dollar General, Donna Jones arrested for shoplifting (2 counts).
  • Suspicious persons, Tyler St., Subjects were eating lunch together.  They were advised to move their vehicles off the roadway.  All ok.
  • Arrest, Black Ink / Highway 138, Officers meet with Conyers PD.  Mashaun Fountain  arrested for Monroe FTA warrants
  • Damage to Property, Meadow Walk Dr., Homeowner upset with landscaper over a damaged fence.  Civil issue mediated.
  • Theft Report, Davis St., Complainant reported wooden shutters taken from a shed on his rental property. Complainant suspects that armed subject took the shutters.
  • Arrest/Monroe Motor Inn, Knock and talk.  Jessica Scwehbol arrested for Monroe warrants
  • Agency Assist, Douglas St., DFACS on location for a home visit. Allow.
  • Animal call, E. Church St., King snake removed from the residence. All Ok.
  • Shoplifting, E. Church St., Named subject attempted to steal a pair of tennis shoes.  He was gone when officers arrived.
  • Dispute, W. Spring Street / Sims gas for less, Male subject, on location, behind the store, refusing to leave.  He was banned from the property.  All 10-4.
  • Disturbing the peace at Landers Street.  Contact made with people on dirt bikes.  Advised to stay out of streets and wear helmets.
  • Damage to Property report taken at 116 South Broad Street (Monroe Police Department. Complainant advised someone dumped their garbage on her vehicle at George Walton Homes.
  • Dispute at Store House Court. Complainant was driving down the road and swerved to miss a pot hole almost striking male subject. Male subject stated complainant pulled a gun out and laid it in his lap and no threats were made.  No third party witnesses to the fact.  Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious Person at West Spring Street (Papa Johns),, male subject in the area advising people he is the owner and needs to close the business.  Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, East Spring Street (Dairy Queen) Caller advised two white males in rear of parking lot arguing.  Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Highway 78 and Highway 138.  Caller advised Tractor Trailer almost ran her off the roadway.  Called cleared by officer due to pending calls and time lapse to the area.
  • Fight at Tanglewood drive.  Reference a fight between three juveniles.  Parents wanted to handle between them.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Hammond Park, male subject in park to get time away from his wife.  Left the park
  • Dispute/Wanted Person at Nowell Street.  In reference to named female contact police due to her being attacked by William Jeff.  Jeff stated that he was attacked by female and another female.  Both had marks on them and could not determine what happened between the two parties.  Jeff had a parole warrant for his arrest and was taken to the Walton County Jail.
  • Domestic at Ridge Road in reference to married couple arguing over money that was taken from husband. Wife was staying at the residence and did not live there.  Wife left the residence prior to police arrival.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Highway 138 / Balmar Outdoors, Ref: White F-150 failing to maintain lane.  Made contact; driver checked 10-4.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Storehouse Ct., Mother advised that her 16-year-old daughter was disrespectful and unruly.
  • Agency Assist, Lakeview Dr., DFACS on location advised subjects were not being cooperative. Mother refused to take a drug screen.  Children were removed from the home.
  • Suspicious vehicle, S. Madison and Davis St., Ref: Blue Ford Taurus station wagon swerving.  Made contact with the driver.  All 10-4.
  • Arrest, Alcovy St, Jaterrius Allen arrested for probation violation.
  • Arrest, Alcovy St, De’erresit Crutchfield arrested for probation violation.
  • Domestic problem, E. Church Street /Davis St., Beatrice Brewer tried to use a knife, shovel and cinder block to cause harm to named male subject.  Brewer arrested for 3 counts of aggravated assault
  • Domestic problem, Monroe Motor Inn, Male and female involved in a verbal dispute.  All 10-4.
  • Dispute, N. Broad Street / Al’s discount tire, Dispute between the owner and a customer.  Customer was given a refund.  All 10-4.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Eagles Trail, 8-year-old stole 10$ from his grandfather.  Money was recovered.  Child was counseled.  All 10-4.
  • Suspicious Activity, South Broad Street.  In reference to woman who lives at South Broad Street saw a black male walk out the residence and leave the door open.  Checked the residence and no one was found inside the residence.  Unable to locate a homeowner.  Re-secured the door.
  • Domestic, Magnolia Terrace, mother and father fighting over their daughter’s punishment. Mother stated father attempted to “swing” at her.  Mother stated the father then left the residence intoxicated.  Checked the area negative contact.  Spoke to father via cell phone.  Could not get much from the father due to slurring his words.
  • Prisoner Transport at Jackson County Jail.  Jameia Davis had failure to appear warrants.
