Monroe PD Reports: TV too loud, entering auto theft, Christmas decorations damaged

The Monroe Police Department reports the following incidents for the period Nov. 10 – 16, 2017. Due to the length of this report, it has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, West Marable St., complainant advising a named subject on location verbally disputing. Could not get anyone to door. Complainant called back, and units made contact on Nowell Street. Complainant stated named subject came to the residence to pick up her niece, complainant’s daughter, to take her to a funeral. Complainant would not allow her daughter to leave which caused the dispute. Units went to Tanglewood Dr. in attempt to make contact with named subject to serve her with a prohibited entry. She was not on location.
  • EMS Assist, South Broad St., male subject reportedly on location being combative and refusing to go with EMS for evaluation.  Upon Officer’s arrival, male subject was very cooperative and voluntarily went with EMS.
  • Agency Assist in the area of King St.  in reference to White Honda regarding a case Walton County Sheriff’s Office is working. Male subject was shooting a gun outside a residence in the county and returned to Kings St.  Help WCSO until more units of theirs arrived on scene.
  • Domestic Dispute, Magnolia Terrance in reference to two subjects arguing over money and one wanting the other to leave the residences. Both were advised the situation is a civil matter and were advised of remedies.
  • Theft report, Walker Dr., regarding complainant reporting her kids red & black Peg Perego Polaris RZR power wheel being stolen out of the front yard. report taken.
  • Theft, West Spring St. at Walmart regarding a missing registration sticker from a blue Ford Focus. Upon arrival met with two subjects. Both stated that the decal on the license plate for the vehicle was cut off the plate. The plate was last seen in good condition between 1230 and 1300 hours this date at the victim’s residence in Social Circle. They noticed the decal missing around 1400 hours at Walmart. Victim stated they only went to Walmart and nowhere else. Decal was placed on GCIC as stolen by Walton County Dispatch and the tag was collected. Officer viewed video footage and determined the incident did not occur in the Walmart parking lot. .
  • Illegal Parking, Wheel House Lane, regarding a green van parked in the road way.  Van was parked improperly in the roadway.  Advised how to park legally and they moved it.
  • Pick Up at Dekalb County Jail, regarding Omar Singleton having a failure to appear warrant out of the City.
  • Damage to property, Magnolia Terrance, complainant advised an unknown person damaged a candy cane Christmas decoration in her yard.  She requests extra patrol.
  • Burglary in Progress, West Vine St., regarding three named subjects breaking into the trailer located on that lot.  The victim did not want to press charges just have them criminal trespassed from the property.
  • Demented person, Perry St., regarding to male subject physically combative with family and officers due to mental illness.  He was restrained and taken to Clearview by EMS
  • Dispute, Towler St., regarding dispute. Subjects not fully cooperative with police.  Victim just wanted her son returned home safely which he was. After he returned home was told by the caller she did not need police.
  • Area heck call, anonymously requested on Lacy St., regarding two black males knocking on windows in area. Area checked w/ negative contact.
  • Prowler report, Reed Way, complainant advised someone was knocking on her door and ringing doorbell. Area was checked with negative contact.
  • Disturbing the peace, Magnolia Terr., complainant advised kids in another Apt. had TV too loud. Situation mediated, and complainant advised of remedies
  • Disturbing the peace, Nowell St. Caller advised party had vehicles in roadway and residence driveway could not be accessed. All ok, party goers advised to move cars.
  • Suspicious person, GW Carver, complainant advised juveniles were about to fight and black male wearing all black with a firearm on his person was in the area. Area checked and three black males wearing all black/dark clothing ran from officer. Unable to locate and all appeared ok.
  • Disturbing the peace, Mobley Circle. Contact made w/complainant who advised there was verbal altercation with the neighbor. Complainant advised to stay away from neighbor and keep noise down. All ok at this time.
  • Loud music, Nowell St., regarding party in area. Music was turned down, all ok.
  • Gunshots heard in area of Perry St. Officers arrived on scene and large crowd dispersed. Witnesses stated they heard gunshots but not in the area. All appeared ok.
  • Entering auto, Unisia Dr. (Walmart D/C) regarding complainant stating his assigned tractor-trailer was in for service and then another unknown driver used truck prior to him picking the truck up and his 40” TV, Cable stick, and universal remote were missing from the truck. Report taken.
  • Suspicious person, Tall Oaks Ln., W/F wearing only shirt and socks in complainant’s yard. Contact with female who advised she was at wrong residence and possibly under influence of narcotics. Female was taken to Tall Oaks West, all ok.
  • Suspicious person, Mill Stone Bluff, regarding complainant stating there was a B/F wearing dark clothes knocking on door. Area checked w/ negative contact
  • Domestic Problem, Rose Ison Terr. between male subject and Dorothy Terrell. Dorothy Terrell arrested for Simple Assault. Warrants taken by officer.
