Monroe PD Reports: Vehicle stolen downtown, domestic disputes

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 26 – June 1, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute Davis Street Donald Bloodsaw arrested for Disorderly conduct & Public Intoxication after disputing with female.
  • Suspicious person at Walmart. Family panhandling in the area, contact made with family and were advised to leave the area.
  • Stolen vehicle at Scoops Ice Cream Reference – complainant’s vehicle being stolen from the parking lot. Complainant did not have sufficient information for GCIC, advised to follow up when he did. Vehicle is a green 1995 Ford Taurus, with a black hood and trunk.
  • Harris Street Legion A group of subjects on four wheelers on location. They had written permission from the Legion to use grounds.
  • Dispute at Ridge Road Complainant stated a group of neighbors were intoxicated and threatening him. Subjects were upset because they believed Complainant was taking pictures of their children. Report taken.
  • Warrant served Green Street at Mayfield Dr Cedric Wymbs arrested for felony probation violation.
  • Traffic stop Sorrells Street at North Broad Street – Matthew Smith arrested for driving while license suspended, and violation of limited permit. Smith was fingerprinted and released on copy of citation.
  • Disturbing the peace West Creek Cir Reference to motorcycles in the area. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Civil Issue GW Homes Subject needed clothing from the residence. Contact made with female and clothing was removed from residence without incident.
  • Welfare Check unknown address Complainant called from Ohio in reference to his 16-year-old daughter sending pictures in Snap Chat of her consuming alcohol, and possibly taking narcotics. Complainant did not have any information on a possible location for his daughter.
  • Ridge Road Complainant stated subject was drinking in his backyard. Contact made with subject who was at a friend’s residence cooking out and drinking tea. Complainant stated no dispute occurred.
  • Dispute Nowell Street Reference to a male subject removing items from a house. Contact made with homeowners at Nowell St, they advised they did not contact 911. Unable to locate complainant after they hung up on dispatch several times.
  • Dispute at Gatewood Drive Complainant stated his son was intoxicated and belligerent. Parties separated for the evening, report taken.
  • Fireworks discharge Creekside Way Reference to fireworks hitting the residence. Contact made with female who stated fireworks did not strike any residence, but would keep a close eye on the juveniles playing with them.
  • Follow up Oakwood Lane Reference to earlier welfare check of juvenile. Contact made with juvenile and she was intoxicated but stated all other pictures of her taking narcotics were staged. Contact made with parents who advised they were en-route. Juvenile left in care of babysitter.
  • Loud Music Engine Room Anonymous complainant stated loud music was heard from the Engine Room. Area checked with negative contact.
  • EMS Assist South Broad Street Subject on location suffering from possible seizure, treated by EMS and transported to Lacy Street.
  • Loud Music Reed Ct Anonymous complainant advised of loud music, advised residents to turn off music and subjects complied.
  • Damage to property King Street Complainant advised a male subject damaged her vehicle. Contact made with male who refused to meet with Officers, warrants to be taken by officer’s for criminal damage to property 2nd degree.
  • Follow Up Oakwood Lane Officer on location awaiting arrival of juvenile’s parents. While speaking with the parents, juvenile emerged from the residence with superficial lacerations to her wrists, chest, and legs. EMS contacted and juvenile was transported to hospital for evaluation.
  • Follow up 2151 West Spring St., Clearview Medical. Ref to 16-year-old who was transported earlier this morning. Clearview advised parent’s has not arrived to be with daughter yet. Proceeded to Oak Wood Ln. to make contact with mother, negative contact. Left VM with father in Ohio.
  • Found property, West Spring St., Citi Trends. Female found a wallet belonging to another female. Located female’s mother and advised her to contact officer to retrieve wallet.
  • Welfare check South Madison Ave. Antonio Griffin had verified bond condition to stay away from female. Griffin found on location and arrested.
  • East Marable St. Care home staff advised irate patient due to not getting a tuna sandwich, all ok.
  • Fight East Church St. Mother and daughter arguing over furniture. Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious person East Spring St., Old Athens First Bank. Male advised he was homeless. Advised of loitering laws, directed to Taylors for a bus ticket to find somewhere else to stay.
  • Agency assist at Wheel House Lane. Complainant with DFACS requesting assistance over a 4-year-old that was possibly raped. Spoke with mother and child and no inappropriate touching of occurred.
  • Dispute at Wheel House Ln. Neighbors upset at allegation male inappropriately touched a 4-year-old. Neighbors told male they would jump him. Remained on location while DFACS completed interview.
  • Suspicious vehicle at Pine Park St. Green SUV on location for two months and concerns that people were living out of it. Vehicle checked ok.
  • Civil issue Nelson Street. Complainant needed to retrieve property from residence but had Temporary Protection Order. Spoke to Sheriff’s Office who stated he had paperwork stating he can retrieve property but female could not be on location. Female was gone when officers arrived.
  • Unknown @ Gliding Lane in regards to male wanting a spiritual leader. Male was extremely intoxicated and advised of church services.
  • Dispute, Highway 78 (Walton Truck Stop) in regards to anonymous caller advising W/M and W/F arguing while walking in area. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious vehicle in area of Vine St. and S. Broad St. in regards to B/M and W/F riding 4-wheelers in area. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Trespass at Ridge Rd. (Skyline Trace Apts.) property manager stated 15-20 juveniles swimming at pool and are not associated w/ residents. Juveniles ran off into woods upon arrival. Manager was advised to get better security for pool or shut pool down due to gate has been broken.
  • Theft, Breedlove Dr. (Ridgeview Institute). Complainant stated she brought subject to facility on May 15, 2017 with several expensive items and when she was checked out this date, the items were missing. Report was taken and a follow up with Ridgeview staff will be done to examine video and property receipts.
  • Firearms discharge in the area of Felker Park. Anonymous caller advised several shots were fired in the area. Area check revealed fireworks in the area. All ok.
  • Noise complaint at Hubbard St. All ok, Homeowner Benjamin advised his cousin got intoxicated at party and his wife took her home and there were no issues.
  • Disturbing the peace near Creekside Drive in regards to fireworks being set off. Checked area and smelled smoke but no active fireworks in area.
  • Disturbing the peace at Hubbard St. in regards to Lanessa Gonzalez back on location causing disturbance. Complainant advised he asked her to leave but she returned and was trying to fight. Gonzalez was arrested for DOC and Public Drunk. Gonzalez complained of knee pain and was cleared at Clearview.
  • Firearms discharge in area of 140 W. Marable St. Caller remained anonymous but advised 3-4 shots fired in area. Witnesses in area advised they heard either fireworks or gunshots but nobody was in distress or needed emergency services. All appeared ok.
