Monroe PD Reports: Wife bites husband’s ear; snake removed from window sill

The following are the incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department between May 12 – 25, 2017. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the first part. Please note an  arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Juvenile Complaint, Baron Dr., mother called and advised her 18-year old son left the house without permission. Her son went to school where he’s still attending MAHS. Mother advised he’s mad because she makes him go to church three times a week with today being one of them.
  • Child Custody, East Washington St., Two disputing over custody of children. Mother left children with another and told her not to give the children to the father, She doesn’t have any rights of children and father took the oldest child and left the youngest there.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Plaza Dr., Ashton point, mother advised her 13-year-old daughter would not go to school. Officer told juvenile to go to school and get got ready and left with her mother for school.
  • Dispute, North Broad St., Al’s Discount Tire. Customer advised owner of business would not fix his tire. Advised of civil remedies.
  • Domestic Dispute, Baron Drive in reference to a subject refusing to leave. Contact made with resident who was unaware of any situations and advised she did not call police. Attempted to call the complainant back but got voicemail.
  • Suspicious Person, reference to a white female with red hair in the wood line across from Ridgeview Mental Institute. Contact made with female who stated she was going for a walk in the wood because it’s cooler and she doesn’t have to deal with traffic.
  • Domestic Dispute, Baron Dr., male and female disputing over property. Advised of civil remedies.
  • Suspicious Person, East Spring St., male subject on location advising staff he owns the place. Contact made with subject near J-Beauty Supply. Advised if another called is received against him he was going to jail. Subject off his meds.
  • Robbery Report taken at South Broad Street – Monroe Police Dept., complainant advised he was robbed last date in Tanglewood by an unknown black male, who also took his gun. The gun was placed onto GCIC as stolen.
  • Fraud/Information, North Broad St., Complainant was double charged for insurance. He was advised of an administrative error and would have to call customer service for his refund.
  • Warrant Service, Plaza Dr., reference to female subject on location with an active warrant out of Walton County. Subject left location prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Dispute, Mill St., complainant requested assistance in getting her belongings from residence. No one would answer door. Advised of civil remedies.
  • Assault at Clearview Regional Medical Center. Complainant advised named male subject jumped him last night, striking him with an object, causing facial fractures. Warrant to be taken for Aggravated Battery.
  • Warrant Service, Carver Place in reference to Terrance Dorsey on location with an active warrant out of Walton County. Subject arrested and taken to Walton County Jail
  • Animal Complaint, Wood Acres Road in reference to a large snake on the window seal. Snaked moved and relocated in the field.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Wheelhouse Lane in reference to a 14-year-old juvenile being unruly and ran off to the soccer field. Contact made with juvenile and he was brought back to residence. Situation mediated.
  • Fight, Lacy St., Two groups fighting prior to police arrival. Crowd dispersed upon law enforcement presence. Requested heavy patrol through the evening as they stated they would be back to fight more.
  • Animal Complaint, reference to a loose Pit-bull running around. Animal Control responded and took dog.
  • Threats at American Legion, Alcovy St., complainant stated an unknown white male subject assaulted him at Applebee’s when complainant hugged his girlfriend who is a hostess there.  Upon leaving the premises the white male drew a silver pistol and displayed it to complainant
  • Drugs, Mill Street resident reporting that people are cutting through her yard and afraid they may be carrying drugs do to dropping book bag on her property.  Resident is requesting the area to be COAP.
  • Assault, Pine Park St., reference to complainant being attacked by two named subjects. Juvenile Complaint will be filed
  • Animal Complaint, South Madison Ave met with Animal Control.  Animal Control was at Knight St. wanting to make sure subject did not have warrants.
  • Theft, Magnolia Terrace, complainant wanted to report that her cabbage patch doll was taken from the apartment this date between 0700 and 1900 hours.
  • Fight on Lacy St., caller advised fight on Lacy street.  Upon arrival crowd was dispersed.  No active fighting.
  • Child custody Dispute at the Walton County Sheriff Office.  Both parties live in the county turned over to WSCO.
  • Fight, North Broad Street.  Ashley Tanner arrest for DOC, public drunk and criminal trespass.  Other subjects gone on arrival of officer.
  • Dispute, East Marable St., married couple on location arguing over company.  Separated for the night.
  • Fight, Lacy St., upon officer arrival multiple people fighting and took off upon office arrival.  Large crowd was dispersed again.
  • Fight, East Church St., female subject pulled a gun on male subject Male subject is female subject baby daddy.  Both parties gone on arrival.
  • Assist Citizen, Cook Place.  Nurse wanted an escort to the location due to being after hours.  Everything ok on location.
  • Fight, Pine Park St., Upon arrival large group not fighting sent group on its way.
  • Dispute, South Madison Ave., Met with a complainant who stated he was at Taco Bell this date and took his daughter in the bath room to let her use the restroom when an unknown customer told the manager to go check on them, he advised the manager opened the door and then apologized when he realized it was his daughter, Complainant requested a report to be on file.
  • Theft, Breedlove Drive (Ridgeview) complainant advised his phone went missing from his right pocket sometime after 1700 hours this date.  Phone was last pinged to Norcross Chase Circle address in Lawrenceville, Requested Gwinnett County to check the address.  Four possible suspects all discharged during the time period the phone went missing.
  • Unknown Law on MLK near Michael Etchinson.  Located male subject lying on the ground at the corner.  Advised he biked from Athens to meet his girlfriend.  He stated his girlfriend shut him out of the residence and he had nowhere to go.  Fish paid for a night at the Haven Inn.
  • Dispute, South Madison Ave., complainant on location attempting to gather his belongings, complainant got his clothing and left the residence.  Subjects are not in a domestic relationship.  Situation Mediated.
  • Assault at Clearview in reference to married couple.  Husband’s mother stated the wife bit her husband on the ear.  Husband claim dog bite him.  No witness to the actually biting but wife made claims to other parties that husband was attacking her.  Wife was unable to be interviewed and husband was uncooperative.
  • Follow up, Tanglewood Dr., complainant stated three named subjects were located at Tanglewood and were the shooters at Jack Peters.  Negative contact with complainant, contact made with subjects at Tanglewood, they advised complainant was the one that fired the weapon in the air.  No report requested.
  • Dispute in the Area of South Broad Street near the bait shop.   Complaint could hear yelling in the area but could not give exact location.  Area checked negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person at Highland Trace area two black males one with orange shirt carrying either large stick or long gun.  Negative Contact.
  • Traffic Stop at East Spring Street near Glen Iris,  Augustus Curry arrested for driving on suspended license, headlight requirements, expired tag, finger printed and released on copy’s.
  • Prowler, Glen Iris Dr., complainant stated unknown subjects knocked on the door.  Several other residents also had the same incident.  Contact made with Cassandra Malcom on Edward Street.  Malcom arrested for Walton County Probation warrant
  • Stolen report, N. Broad St., complainant advised named female subject who is his ex-girlfriend was driving his vehicle and when they arrived at a location for him to drop another vehicle off she left the area.  Advised she may possibly be at a hotel in Conyers.  Vehicle was a 2002 Honda Accord, Black with four doors.  No other information provided.
  • Suspicious person, Walgreens, complainant was upset due to a subject taking picture of him in a public place.  Subjects separated.  All ok.
  • Dispute, Carver Pl., female subject choked male subject.  WTBT on female subject.
  • Suspicious vehicle Stop on E. Spring St.  Reference to a male subject in a vehicle in the parking lot for several hours.  Male subject waiting on father.  Was advised to move on.
  • Suspicious vehicle in the area of Ash Ln. Reference to dirt bikes in the road.  Male subject was found on a four wheeler and was advised to keep it off the road.
  • Theft report, West Spring St. (Haven Inn), complainant stated $260 dollars was taken from her purse while in room by either her roommate or the maid.
  • Welfare Check, Radford St., complainant wanted officer to check on female subject living in a residence located at the corner of East 5th and Radford.  Made contact with subject advised she was ok and did not need police assistance.
