Monroe Police Chief weighs in on altercation at local restaurant

Last week, a video was circulated of an incident that happened at Wendy’s in Monroe resulting in a woman being tased in the kitchen. The incident took place after an employee allegedly began throwing kitchen items at staff while wielding a large knife. The police were called and the responding officer jumped the counter and used the taser in an effort to subdue her.

In his “City Beat,” Darrell Everidge of Darrell Productions asked Monroe Police Chief R.V. Watts to weigh in on the case. Click on the Youtube Video below for his response. The case is still under investigation.
