MPD Reports: 2 arrested after reports of shots fired

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 20 – 27, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a  conviction.

  • Fraud – S. Broad St.: In reference to complainant’s banking information was compromised. She stated she needs a report for documented purpose.
  • Threat – Double Springs Church Rd: Reference subject threatening several staff members.  Report taken.
  • Shots Fired – Nowell St.: Subjects were seen running into an apartment. Made contact with the resident who said subjects ran through his apartment and he gave consent to search. Thomas Wooden arrested for Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrant. Joshua Richardson arrested for Probation warrant (Original Charge: Sale/Distribution of Cocaine) and False Name/DOB
  • Found Property – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton): In reference to a BB gun left by a mental patient that didn’t want it anymore. The subject was explained how to properly dispose of the BB gun.
  • Fraud – S. Broad St.: Complainant stated he had a patron passed a fraudulent check. Wanted the incident to be documented. Report Taken.
  • EMS Assist – S. Madison Ave. Pregnant female on location have a possible heat stroke. Turned over to EMS.
  • Assault – Piedmont Walton. The complainant stated over a week ago she was assaulted by her husband. She did not want a report and provided little information. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person – Holly Hill Rd. in reference to a white female acting suspiciously in the area.  Contact was made with the subject on Holly Hill Rd.  She stated she had not been taking her medicine. She was advised to take them.  All ok at this time.
  • Dispute – Carwood Dr.  Complainant wanted advice in reference to evicting his roommate.  The complainant was extremely intoxicated and difficult to understand.  He was explained the eviction process.
  • Road Blocked – S. Broad St. near Spring St. in reference to a tree limb blocking the roadway. Roadway cleared. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person – Charlotte Rowell Blvd. near Double Springs Church Road Connector in reference to a W/F sitting on the side of the roadway. Officer made contact with the subject who was just released from the hospital and 32 weeks pregnant. She was given an escort to Harrison Poultry.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – W. Highland Ave. in reference to a white Ford on location for the past six days behind the business. Officer made contact with a White Ford E250 in front of Academy Lock and Key. The business advised they sold the vehicle and were waiting for the buyer to pick it up. All ok.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Wheelhouse Lane at Store House Ct. The complainant was having issues with her 14-year0old child. She advised he would not listen. After speaking to both parties all was ok.
  • Suspicious Person – Cherry Hill Rd – Walton Logistics. Carl Maddox stated two subjects were on location to retrieve pallets and started disputing with him. Tag #CJZ7516 was obtained and came back to Walker Drive. Officer conducted a follow up at the location on Walker Dr. and identified the subjects as Joseph Barrett and Tonya Brady. They were served with criminal trespass warnings to stay away from Walton Logistics for two years. While on location, the officer observed an odor of raw marijuana on location. Joint Ops responded and searched the residence. Turned over to Joint Ops.
  • Dispute – Gliding Lane in reference to the subject making threats to harm another subject. The situation was mediated. Report taken.
  • Damage to property – Wheel House Ln. Complainant advised that her bedroom window had been cracked by a group of juveniles. The complainant was advised to record future incidents.  Report taken.
  • Dispute – Plantation Dr. Reference to a dog coming into the yard. Residents were not presentthe at time of the call. Animal Control Notified
  • Suspicious Vehicle – in the area of Glen Iris and Stowers – In reference to a silver motorcycle being ridden by someone without a helmet.  The subject was advised not to ride the dirt bike on the road.
  • Dispute – Cook Place. In reference to 3rd party caller stating wife said gang members were knocking on her door and now will not answer her phone.
  • Traffic stop – Wayne and the PD. Subject arrested for Driving Under Influence (0.146), improper turn, and reckless driving.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – E. Marable St. at Mathews Park – In reference to a silver Mazda Tribute.  Occupants left after being advised the park was closed.
  •  Suspicious Vehicle – E. Marable St.- Mathews Park. In reference to a silver passenger car parked in the upper parking lot. Vehicle occupied x2. Subjects were advised to leave.
  • Suicidal Threats – HWY 78., Walton truck stop. The subject was transported to Piedmont Walton. All ok
