MPD Reports: Allegations of sexual assault of young child; juvenile mischief and domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Aug. 1 – 8, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part.

  • Meet With – W. Spring St.: Complainant wanted to meet with an officer to see if Burger King’s cameras picked up the crash and details on their camera. The GM said he would have to wait on his other manager to log into the system to observe if they saw anything. The GM advised they would contact if they can see anything on their cameras. Supplement to be added. 
  • Theft – W. Spring St. (Haven Inn): In reference to complainant leaving a sun visor in her room over the weekend. The manager stated they did not have it. The complainant was verbally told to stay from this property per. managers request. She declined a report,
  • Domestic – Tall Oaks Lane: Complainant stated her husband choked her. There was no physical evidence on complainants’ neck. The complainant was transported to Walton Piedmont. Warrants to be taken on husband for Simple Assault-Family Violence.
  • Stolen Vehicle – Magnolia Ter.: Complainant reported her 2003 Ford Explorer taken from this address. The vehicle is in need of repossession, but complainant alleges her mother is in possession of it. Report taken
  • Follow Up – Magnolia Ter.; In reference to complainant spotting her vehicle that was report stolen earlier this date at this location.
  • Suicide Threats – Shamrock Dr: Reference to subject wanting to harm herself. Subject left as we were arriving on the scene. Conducted a traffic stop and the subject said she did not want to harm herself but was on her way to jail visitation.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St.: Subject was arrested for shoplifting.
  • Dispute – S. Broad St.: ref to a white male and two white females causing a dispute on location, they were gone on arrival in an older Toyota Corolla. The store owner has requested an extra patrol due to the suspects who are constantly coming back. If they are located, he wants them barred from the store.
  • Comments: BTM Equipment requested extra patrol at night at the equipment yard on Walton Rd. Reference former employee showing up trying to get tools while no one is on location.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – N. Midland Ave.: In reference to a 2001 Dodge Stratus blue in color that has been on location for a couple of hours. Dispatch tried to make contact, but the line was busy. The complainant just wants it to be gone by in the morning. Advised of private property tow.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Knight St.: Reference kids next door bothering complainant. Since this is an ongoing issue, she was advised to contact her landlord.
  • Sexual Assault – Piedmont Walton. Complainant advised that her 5-year-old granddaughter was complaining of pains in her female region. She stated that the granddaughter told her another juvenile female, as well as a male subject, had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions. The address for the sexual assault is Alcovy St. DFACS and Criminal Investigation Division were notified. Incident turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division. Report taken
