The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 25, 2020 – July 2, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Suspicious Vehicle – Highway 11 and Charlotte Rowell. Ref to a vehicle FTML and speed.
Citizen flag down – East Washington St. near National Guard Armory. Ref to a disabled vehicle, all ok.
Illegal dumping – Mobley Cir. Trash being dumped on Mobley Circle turned out to belong to business on corner. All ok.
Dispute – W. Spring St., Haven Inn. Dispute over parking properly between lines with the manager and another person that was gone prior to officers’ arrival.
Entering auto – S. Broad St., MPD. Medication taken from lock box during the night.
Theft report – Magnolia Terr. Complainant reported her child’s orange and black bicycle stolen.Report taken.
Threats – Douglas St. Son in Mexico was receiving non specific threats about his mother at his location. Advised remedies. Request of extra patrol.
EMS Assist – Wellington Dr. Door-to-door salesman advised
Dispute – South Broad St., Southside Mobile Home Park Residents moved car prior to the officer’s arrival.
Dispute – Forest Ln.-In reference to complainant reporting that there was a group of people at her house waiting to jump on her, over some altercations that happened in the past. Area checked with negative contact with anyone at complainant’s residents.
Domestic Dispute – Lacy St; Verbal dispute between father and daughter. Remedies advised, all ok.
Disturbing the Peace – Magnolia Ter. Complainant reported that neighbor was banging on walls. Situation mediated and remedies advised. All ok.
Suspicious Person – Davis St. Complainant reported suspicious person dropped off two unexpected packages on front porch of residence and left. Upon investigation the packages were determined to be boxes filled with vegetables and a Bible. All ok.
911 Hang up – Thomson Ridge Dr. – In reference to a caller stating to send someone because a subject was going crazy. Contact was made with the homeowners. Homeowner had accidentally called 911 and sat the phone in front of the TV. Everything was ok.
Suspicious Person – N. Broad St. & Midland Ave; Public parking. Report of possible fight in the area. Parties gone on arrival, all ok.
Animal Complaint – Turner St. In reference to a bat trapped in the residence. Subject advised to call DNR.
Dispute – Wheelhouse Ln; Third party report of possible dispute at residence. Contact made with subjects at residence, all ok.
Suspicious Person – Cherokee Ave. In reference to three subjects going into yards in the area. Possible entering auto suspects. Stolen bicycle recovered. Report taken.
Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 11 and Charlotte Rowell: In reference to a gray GMC failing to maintain lane. WCSO performed a traffic stop on the vehicle. turned over to WCSO.
Suspicious Person – N. Midland Ave. in reference to a person asking for help with a motel room. Subject was advised to contact Fish.
Child Abuse/Sexual Assault – S. Broad St. (MPD) in reference to complainant stating her 5-year-old juvenile
Armed Robbery – Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd (Wells Fargo ATM): In reference to attempted robbery from the ATM. Three black males in a stolen vehicle out of Johns Creek Police Department. Report taken.
