MPD Reports: Auto theft, theft, damage to property and dispute complaints

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 28 to April 3. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – N. Broad St. in reference to a dispute between two subjects. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – Booth Dr. in reference to subject damaging the walkway. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Baron Dr. in reference to subject on location to retrieve property. The property was retrieved. All ok.
  • Stolen Vehicle – E. Fambrough St. in reference to Complainants’ 1999 Toyota Corolla taken from the parking lot between the hours of 0500 – 1230 hours this date. Vehicle placed on GCIC as stolen
  • Damage to Property – S. Broad St. Complainant advised an unknown subject damaged a window on his rental property. He suspects juveniles.  Report taken.
  • Harassment – Baron Dr. in reference to subject harassing complainant. Report taken.
  • Illegal Dumping – Kendall Court. Complainant’s sister stated that unknown individual(s) have been dumping tires in the cul-de-sac. No descriptions are available. Incidents are believed to be occurring in the middle of the night. Remedies were advised.
  • Theft – W. Spring St. – Home Depot in reference to employee theft. Kimberly McGuffey was arrested for theft by deception.
  • Follow up – Hillcrest. Ref to previously reported stolen vehicle being returned. The vehicle was returned to the owner. No property reported missing although the owner of the vehicle cannot find the spare key to the vehicle. All appeared ok. Supplemental added to. A GCIC removal form has been submitted.
  • Dispute – Davis St. Complainant stated she wanted her daughter, and her daughter’s fiancé to move out of her residence. The complainant advised she wanted an officer to stand by while her daughter retrieved her property. All ok
  • Disturbing the peace – In the area of Storehouse Ct. in reference to 4 wheelers in the area. Parties advised to not ride them in residential areas.
  • Illegal Parking – GW Carver Dr. in reference to a red Ford Focus blocking the complainant in. Officer made contact with the owner. The vehicle was moved. All 10-4
  • Trespassing – E. Church St. in reference to a male subject on the back porch and no trespassing signs posted on the vacant property. Contact made with the subject. He was advised to leave and not to return to the property. He left without incident.
  • Damage to Property – S. Broad St. – Complainant arrived at her mother-in-law’s residence to find a window to her mother-in-law’s van to be busted. The incident occurred between 1620 hours last date and 1005 hours this date. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop – Wayne St. and W. Spring St. Vehicle stopped for equipment violation. The driver, Lorenzo Webb, arrested for DWLS. The passenger, Jasmine Parks, arrested for Failure to Appear warrant through Newton County. Lorenzo was fingerprinted and released on a copy. Jasmine was taken to the Walton County Jail.
  • Damage To Property – Classic Trl  – Between 0130 hours and 0900 hours an unknown subject spray painted complainants car with black paint. Complainant suspects his ex-girlfriend. Report Taken
  • Warrant Service – Classic Trail. Craig Jernigan was observed on the location. Officer had knowledge the subject was wanted. Contact was made and the subject was placed under arrest and transported to the jail on a child support warrant.
  • Entering Auto – Storehouse Court. Complainant stated that an unknown individual(s) entered her locked vehicle, a black 2005 Lincoln Navigator on Storehouse Court between 0100 hours and 1300 hours this date. Her wallet with approximately $600 cash, debit card, and GA license were taken.
