MPD Reports: Break-in at SunTrust Bank, toddler burned with hot water

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 28, 2018 to Jan. 3, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St./ Pine Crest Dr., complainant advised Ga Tag # all over the roadway. Contact with vehicle in the parking lot of Panera Bread unoccupied.
  • Disruptive patient, Piedmont Walton, stood by as medical personal treated a mental patient. All ok.
  • Dispute, Meadow Walk Dr., reference to complainant wanting the father of her child to leave the residence. Subject was gone when officers arrived. Report taken.
  • Shoplifting, Chestnut Cupboard, clerk advised a black male came into the store and stole “blunt spray.” The subject got into a blue Chevrolet passenger vehicle and left. The clerk does not wish to press charges at this time. He was advised if the male comes back to call in order for a criminal trespass warning to be issued.
  • Dispute, Perry St., mother request EMS due to her son acting out and not taking his meds. Son was seen by EMS and transported.
  • Dispute, Sorrels St., female subject was on location with her boyfriend, both were drunk and causing a scene. Her boyfriend was gone when officers arrived, no domestic occurred. Female wanted to go to the hospital in reference to not feeling good, she was transported to Piedmont-Walton.
  • Suspicious Person, J an B Food Mart, named male subject was on location and was asked by the clerk to leave. He was outside when officers arrived on location. He was advised he was not welcome at the store anymore. All ok.
  • Civil Dispute, Tangle Wood Lane between siblings they were advised of civil remedies.
  • Assault Report, Piedmont, reference to female from earlier call at the Hospital intoxicated. Staff called because of old injuries. Female declined to file a report at this time.
  • Disturbing the Peace, Plaza Dr., anonymous complainant stated there was a large party below apartment. Contact made with residents of apartment. No loud music heard, advised the homeowner to be considerate of how loud they were getting.
  • Dispute, Stokes St., complainant advised her cousin came to her house causing a disturbance. He pushed her in the face and left in a vehicle possibly towards the County. She advised she did not want to press any charges at this time but did not want him back at her residence. She was advised of the Temporary Protection Order process as well as Criminal Trespass Warning.
  • Unknown Law, Knight St., anonymous complainant requested an area check for a male subject screaming for help. Complainant was calling in reference to the dispute on Stokes St. He wanted to make sure everyone was ok. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Atha St./South Broad, officer ran the tag which showed the owner to have active warrants. A female subject who was sitting in the vehicle looked like the said owner. Upon further investigation Bryan McDougal, who was the driver, was placed under arrest. He had active warrants and was in possession of Schedule two drugs, and gave officers false names.
  • Traffic Stop, East Church St./Baron Dr., officer observed a vehicle traveling on East Church with a nonworking tag light.  Officer conducted a traffic stop and it was found the driver Isaac Jenkins had a suspended license out of Alabama.  He was taken into custody and fingerprinted.  Mr. Jenkins was released on a copy of citation.
  • Suspicious Person, Popeye’s, officer observed a male subject kneeling in the bushes and then attempting to walk away from the area. Contact made with Jeffery Corbett. Corbett was arrested for Public Intoxication.
  • Dispute, Davis St./Bell St., anonymous complainant stated there was a dispute in the area. Contact made with the residence on Davis St. as they were having a verbal dispute in the yard. Situation mediated and parties separated.
  • Alarm, West Spring St., SunTrust Bank, Multiple areas of activation. Force entry to the rear door. Upon an area check a male was located in possession of a crow bar and hammer. Male has been detained scene turned over to CID.
  • Criminal Trespass, Bridgeport Pl., reference to named male subject being warned for Criminal Trespass.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Murphy USA, reference to a female subject in a white Ford Taurus asking for money. Area check conducted with negative contact.
  • EMS Assist, Towler St., reference to a 3-year-old that was burned by a pot of water. The juvenile was turned over to EMS and transported to Piedmont Walton.
  • Missing Person, East Church St., reference to named mental patient walking around town. Patient is not currently under any court ordered treatment and was refusing to comply with the staff at Exceptional Services. The staff advised they would call back if needed.
  • Domestic Dispute, Gliding Lane, reference to a dispute between two subjects. Report taken.
  • Dispute, West 5th St., reference to neighbors disputing. The situation was mediated.
  • Burglary Report, Davis St., reference to a burglary that occurred between 0900 and 1600 hours this date. Turned over to CID.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., Walmart, dispute between Walmart employee and white male. Subject was GOA on arrival.
  • Hit and Run at North Broad St./Mayfield Dr., complainant was rear-ended by a grey Nissan Versa.  Driver of the Versa then left the scene with front end damage.
  • Missing Person, South Madison Ave., Walton County Sheriff’s Office, reference to named female missing. She resides in the county. Turned over to WCSO.
  • Suspicious vehicle, West Spring St, towards Walmart. Lincoln town car Failed to maintain lane and running light at Farmers Furniture.  Area searched with negative contact.
  • Traffic Stop, Hwy 78/Unisia, driver was charged with possession of marijuana during a traffic stop.
  • Prowler, Plaza Dr., reference to an unknown black male knocking on the complainant door. Subject described by complainant as a young black male, bald head, gray shirt and gray jeans. Area checked with negative contact.
