The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Aug. 6 – 13, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Narcotics Found – West Spring Street (Cricket Wireless): In reference to finding a clear bag with white powdery substance on the ground possibly being cocaine. Report made.
Welfare Check – 6th Street: In reference to checking on the Juvenile that was on location possible narcotics on location. Contact was made with a subject with a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Report made.
Dispute – East Church Street (Chevron)- In reference to a subject arguing with the clerk and beating on the glass over money that was charged on his girlfriend’s credit card.
Dispute – Ridge Road in reference to the complainant’s kid won’t leave the residence.
Vehicle Collision – Michael Etchinson Road / Hwy 138: In reference to a vehicle rear ending another vehicle. Subject had a warrant out of Walton for Violation of Probation. Did not place a hold. Citation issued. Report made.
Dispute – Springer Ln in reference to a female subject refusing to leave. Subject was gone when the officers arrived.
Fire Assist – Green St. Residential fire. All the occupants were out of the structure. Turned over to Fire.
Threat Report – North Madison Avenue. Reference to Complainant and a part-time employee involved in a verbal dispute. After investigation into incident it was determined that no crime had been committed.
Theft Report – Highland Ter; In reference to a stolen bicycle.
EMS Assist – Belle Meade. In reference to elderly female falling. Turned over to EMS on scene.
Harassment – Tall Oaks E. Reference to a male on a golf cart making inappropriate comments at the Chestnut Cupboard. Male was gone when officers arrived. area searched negative contact
Suspicious Person) Brown Oil. In reference to a Hispanic male on location refusing to leave and panhandling. Subject was gone when officers arrived and an area check was negative.
Dispute – Wheel House Ln. Reference to a dispute between two subjects. One accused the other of throwing a beer bottle at her. No charges filed due to lack of evidence. report taken
Suspicious Vehicle) Felker Park. Toyota minivan on location after hours. Vehicle was unoccupied. Contact was made with the registered owner who stated that his estranged wife had made suicidal threats. She was located in Monroe Estates. All OK.
Theft Report – Tanglewood Ln. Subject selling stolen property to a juvenile. Subject was gone when officers arrived. Both parties declined to press charges. Report taken.
Assault Report -Piedmont Walton; Subject injured in a physical altercation denied a report and refused to prosecute the other party.
Shots Fired – Tanglewood Ln. Several rounds fired. Single round entered the residence through the front door striking various items of furniture. No injuries. Evidence and statements collected.
Disturbing the Peace – Custom Way. Rev. Complainant wanted to notify officers there was a party in the area.
EMS Assist – Wheel House Lane in reference to a male subject was on the floor and was having a seizure. Turned over to EMS.
Property Damage – Felker Park South Madison Ave in reference to located two doors open with damage to the freezer, spray paint and the power was pulled away from the fuse box.
Suspicious Person -Peachy King – In reference to a homeless man setting in front of the store with his shirt off. Contact was made with subject. Subject was advised of the complaints and told he needed to go elsewhere. Subject gathered his belongings and left.
