MPD Reports: Business trailers stolen in two separate incidents

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period July 3 – 9, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Suspicious Person – Marable St. In reference to a subject in the compliant garage. The subject was identified, detained then released. The subject also had a warrant out of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office but they did not place a hold. He was sent on his way.

Prisoner transport – from MPD to WCSO jail for CID. Prisoner transported, fingerprinted and released to the Jail. 

Animal complaint – Walton Rd. Ref to an aggressive brown pit bull in the complainant’s back yard. the WCSO advised dog was extremely aggressive when they were on a call yesterday. Animal control advised and responded. 

Dispute – Baron Dr. During a verbal dispute one subject punched another in front of children. Warrants to be taken against him for battery and cruelty to children 3rd degree. He was gone prior to officers’ arrival. 

Dispute – HW78, Walton Truck Stop. Ref to a female in front of the store yelling at customers. An employee advised that the female was gone in a silver passenger car. Area searched with negative contact. 

Mental patient – Unisia Dr., Walmart DC. A former employee on the scene wearing only a bikini top and PJ pants disputing with employees outside on their break. The subject was given courtesy transport to Simmeron MHP. 

Theft report – W. Spring St., Everett’s Nursery. Ref to a trailer taken in last 3 days. 

Welfare check – W. Spring St., Big Lots. The subject was ok, just walking through town then back home. 

Theft report – N. Broad St., Beaudry Auto Brokers. Ref to enclosed trailer taken.

Warrant Attempt – Reed St. Subject was arrested for warrants for battery and cruelty to children X2 from the previous call. He as arrested, fingerprinted and transported to WCSO by an officer. 

Theft report – Dean St. Complainant advised her cell phone had been taken last date by her husband and wished to report it stolen. She was advised of options. 

Theft report – E. Spring St., Spring Street Laundry. Report of a laundry basket taken on 7/2/2020. 

Suspicious vehicle – HW138 heading towards city. Vehicle turned before reaching city. WCSO advised. 

Dispute – Custom Way. Two parties involved in a dispute. One was gone prior to officers’ arrival and the other was awaiting a ride. Report taken

Damage to property – W. Spring St., Murphy USA. Customer from Murphy advised irate Bank of America patron at the ATM. Report done for ATM eating card and damage to ATM. 

Dispute-Nonviolent – E .Spring St. Dollar General. Complainant advised the subject showed up to her job and threatening to fight her. The subject was gone upon officer arrival. The complainant requested a report to be made. Report taken . 

Welfare check – 4th St. In reference to complainant attempting to pick up their child. Anonymous complainant advised that she attempted to pick up her juvenile son at the referenced location and was denied by the child’s father. Contact was made with the juvenile and the father who advised the mother has not been on location. Residence and welfare of the child were checked and there appeared to be no concern regarding the juvenile’s well-being. All ok. 

Threats – Ridge Rd. In reference to Complainant’s daughter ex-boyfriend threatening to damage their property. 

Dispute – E. Spring St. Short Stop. Complainant advised subject called his sister a name. Complainant’s sister was not on location. Parties did not get into a physical altercation and they were sent on their separate ways. All ok 

Missing Person – Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The complainant advised that her mother was missing and that she had not been able to establish contact since July 3, 2020. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the mother is currently receiving medical treatment at an unknown facility, and has denied consent to release information regarding her condition or whereabouts. 

Traffic Stop – N. Broad St at Golden Pantry. The vehicle was stopped for no tag light. The driver was identified and detained. Probable cause search was conducted. Marijuana, grinder, and a blunt containing marijuana was located (9.4g). All items located were turned into evidence to be destroyed. The subject was released without incident. 

Suspicious Vehicle – E Marable St. Mathews Park- Three vehicles on location after hours. It was determined that a locksmith was putting a new ignition switch in a vehicle due to a subject losing his keys. All ok. 

Traffic Stop – N. Broad St near Golden Pantry. Vehicle was observed driving on the roadway with no rear lights activated. Upon identifying the driver, it was found she did not have a valid drivers’ license. She was transported to the Monroe Police department where she was fingerprinted and released on citation. Report taken

Burglary – Lacy St In reference to front door being kicked in. Report taken. 

Suspicious Vehicle – Highland Creek Pool House- Officers observed an open door to the vehicle. Contact was made with the registered owner who stated she believes one of her sons left it open. 

Suspicious vehicle – MLK Blvd. Zaxbys. In reference to two vehicles in the parking lot. Zaxbys employees. All ok. 

Traffic Stop – N. Broad St and HWY 78 Bridge. A vehicle was stopped for driving on the roadway without its lights activated. The driver was identified as a 16-year-old juvenile. The driver of the vehicle was given a citation for OCGA 40-5-20(a) Driving without a valid license with a TBD court date for juvenile court and released to his father.
