MPD Reports: Dispute over son going all day without calling, dog picked up after running off

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period July 19 – 25, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Domestic Dispute – Douglas St.: Two subjects disputing. Situation mediated. Report taken. 
  • Dispute – Etten Dr.- In reference to roommates having issues. Advised to speak with a mental health counselor.
  • Private Property Hit-and-Run – W. Spring St. (WalMart): In reference to complainants’ van being struck by another vehicle that left the scene on row 8. Report taken.
  • Forgery – S. Broad St.: Joint Ops handled due to forgery of prescription pills.
  • Harassment – E. Spring St.: Complainant said some guys came into the store three times today harassing her to where she felt uncomfortable. Unable to obtain surveillance video due to the owner being out of the country. Made contact with the possible suspects at Bulldog Tire repaving the drive. One subject arrested for Probation Warrant.
  • Wanted Person – Etten Dr. – In reference to Labryza Colbert with failure to appear warrant from Athens-Clarke County. Arrested and transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Assault – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton Hospital): In reference to Complainant being assaulted by subject on Perry St. over the weekend. Report taken.
  • Burglary – Tall Oaks Ln.; Complainant reported her residence was burglarized while she was out of town between 07/19/19 and today. A TV, a laptop, two bracelets, and a necklace were taken. No forced entry was observed. No processable evidence was located.
  • Dispute – Forest Ln. The complainant stated she was having a verbal dispute with her son because he was gone all day and did not call her. The complainant was given information for Juvenile Court. All okay at this time.
  • Assault – Piedmont Walton. A subject on location did not want to speak with police. He did not want to provide any information, stated that he just wanted to be seen for his injuries.
  • Dispute – Ash Ln; Complainant stated he was in an argument with his girlfriend over her allegedly having a sexual relationship with her cousin. The complainant said he took away the phone that he pays for from girlfriend and while she was trying to get it back from him, he injured his shoulder. The subjects do not live together, have never been married, and have no children together. The complainant did not wish to press charges but requested EMS treatment for his shoulder. The girlfriend was gone on arrival.
  • Meet With – Pinecrest Dr. / Crestview Dr.: In reference to a 3-year-old juvenile walking down Pinecrest Dr. by herself. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Fourth St.: In reference to yelling over eviction and drug activity possibly going on in the residence. The complainant was gone on arrival. Report taken.
  • Theft – E. Spring St.: Reference a stolen dog. The owner advised dog ran off. A silver SUV picked up the dog looking for its owner. This is not theft. Advised of remedies.
  • Threats – Chestnut Ln.: In reference to threats being made to do a drive-by shooting at this location. The complainant wanted to make a report. Report taken
  • Mental – S. Broad St.: In reference to complainant have suicidal thoughts. Complainant as the caregiver stated that she just came back from a mental evaluation on Sunday. She is calling to make arrangements with the Crisis center.
