MPD Reports: Disputes over restaurant being closed, another over service

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 15 – 21, 2019. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Civil Matter, North Broad St., Church’s Chicken. Customer complaining about service – advised of remedies.
  • Dispute in the area of Maple St., Comp advised dispatch he was kicked out and walked to The Market on North Madison.  The store clerk at The Market advised that the Comp left.  Area searched with negative contact, all ok.
  • Medical Assist, North Broad St., Da Grand Bar and Grill.  During a medical assist a large, intoxicated and unruly crowd began to cause a dispute in the parking lot.  Three arrests made –  Jonathan Wiley was charged with Felony obstruction and interference with government property, and other subjects were charged with disorderly conduct and public drunk.Report made.
  • Suspicious Person, Blaine St./Edwards St., reference to two subjects riding bikes while pushing a third bike. Claimed to have found the bike at the old school on North Madison. Bike placed into evidence for safekeeping.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Tokyo’s, reference to a dispute between customer and group of teenagers in pick-up trucks. Teenagers left the scene before the police arrived. No other issues.
  • Dispute, Davis St., verbal dispute between two subjects.  Dispute mediated.
  • Dispute, West Creek Circle, reference to Deamber Johnson disputing with two subjects over property. While on location it was discovered that the subject had an active probation warrant out of Athens. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Old Mill Point, reference to a silver in color 2017 Hyundai Elantra illegally parked in the driveway of a complainant. The complainant advised she would wait to see if the owner returned.
  • Warrant Attempt, Magnolia Terrace, reference to Erica Latrice King being on location with an active warrant. King was arrested, fingerprinted, and transported to the Jail without incident.
  • Fraud, South Broad St., Walgreens, a B/M male subject attempted to fill a forged prescription for oxycodone last date around 2100 hours. Possible suspect named and out of Ellenwood, GA. Report taken.
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy St., reference to Allison Haynes being on location with an active warrant. Haynes was arrested and transported to the Jail without incident.
  • Fraud Report, Vine St., Conestoga, reference to complainant advising her mother received a fraudulent call from Texas in reference to her having a warrant. The complainant was advised of remedies. Report taken.
  • Theft, Magnolia Terrace, the complainant advised she met an unknown black male to buy an iPhone XR for $300.00. When she presented the money, the subject snatched the money and ran towards Tall Oaks. Report taken.
  • Wanted Person, Alcovy St., Georgia Probation Management, Peggy Haynes on location with active probation warrant. She was arrested and taken to the Walton County Jail.
  • DFCS-Juvenile Issue, Norris St., 16-year-old child made DFCS complaint with Walnut Grove HS staff and went home with the grandmother. Mother was advised DFACS would meet with her tomorrow.
  • Dispute, Chestnut Lane, reference to complainant having a dispute with another subject over Facebook. No physical dispute occurred. The named subject was gone when officers arrived.
  • 911 Hang-Up, Plazathe Trc., complainant advised she bought a gift card from named subject. The complainant said when she checked the balance on the card it did not match the amount that was supposed to be on the card. Civil issue. Report taken.
  • Dispute, Spruce Ln., made contact with a complainant who advised named subject and she got into a dispute. She claimed he physically harmed her, and he said he did not. Due to lack of evidence the parties were separated. Named subject was transported to his mother’s house in Wellington Manner.
  • Threats, West Spring St., reference to an unknown male customer who was angry he could not order his food due to business being closed. Made staff nervous. Subject was gone when officer arrived. Advised of escort service at closing if needed. all ok.
  • Juvenile Problem, East Tall Oaks, Ref to unruly 16-year-old with prior pending criminal and DFACS cases. Situation mediated
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Mathews Park, reference to two subjects parked after close. Instructed to leave the park.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Russell Cir, Hammond Park, subject sent on his way.
  • Welfare Check, Country Club Dr., reference to a subject on location who was lost.  Officers assisted in returning her and her vehicle back to her residence located on Monroe Jersey Road.
  • Suspicious persons, Ridge Rd., reference to two black males checking door handles in the area. Complainant stated her car isn’t able to be locked.  Suspects were scared off before they could make entry.  Surrounding apartments checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Davis St., reference to female subject throwing item at complainant’s vehicle. Report taken.
  • Dispute, King St., dispute between two subjects. One subject gone when officers arrived. The complainant advised she would handle things tomorrow.
  • Suspicious Person, McDaniel St., reference to complainant saying a male and female were walking on road. Area checked with negative contact.
