MPD Reports: Disputes over violation of space, strange text messages and yelling profanities

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 21 – 27, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, West Marable St., reference to two subjects disputing. Parties were separated.
  • Unknown Law, West Spring St., Piedmont Walton. Made contact with complainant who stated she was worried about her friend’s dog. She was advised of remedies. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hubbard St., complainant stated that she wanted her ex-husband’s vehicle out of the roadway. We tried to make contact with the owner of the vehicle but got no response. A 72-hour removal notice was placed on the back glass of the vehicle.
  • EMS Assist, Perry St., reference to male subject off his meds and acting out. Jaden was cooperative and turned over to EMS.
  • Welfare Check, Reed St., made contact with the person in question. All ok.
  • Harassment, Ga. Ave., DFCS, made contact with the complainant who stated that a strange number sent text messages to her work phone. Pictures were taken of the conversation.  Report taken.
  • Harassment, West Spring St., SunTrust Bank, the branch manager of the bank advised an unknown male called the bank and yelled profanities. They attempted to get information from the subject and he advised he would hurt them. The phone number is unknown. Branch manager asked for extra patrol.
  • Dispute, Lacy St., reference to two subjects were disputing.  He was advised of court remedies.
  • Damage to Property, Carver Place, complainant reported her vehicle damaged by paint.
  • Civil Issue, West Marable St., two subjects arguing about coming into each other’s personal space to annoy the other. Both were given options to remedy the situation. All ok.
  • Dispute, West Marable St., see Above call. Both parties were again advised of their options. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Marathon, reference to white male attempted to steal lottery tickets and left in blue Honda Civic. Met with clerk who stated no items stolen and if the male returned, she would call 911. All ok.
  • Civil Issue, Davis St., reference to complainant wanting named female out of the house. After removing named female, complainant stated she did live at residence and he was advised on civil options. Named female went back into residence.
  • Inmate Transport at Newton County Jail. In reference to Kenneth Benefield wanted for Failure to appear. Transported from Newton to Walton County Jail. All Ok.
