MPD Reports: Driver exposes himself after claiming to be looking for a dog

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 4 – 11, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • EMS Assist – Davis St. Subject found lying on the floor of the residence unresponsive. Turned over to EMS for transport. 
  • Tree Down – Russell Rd. In reference to a tree blocking the road into Hammond Park. Monroe Fire Department was unable to remove it. Contact was made with Monroe Public Works to remove it.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 138 & W. Spring St. Motorist had stopped in the turn lane to send text messages. Verbal warning.
  • Dispute – Haven Inn. Reference to a 3rd party call stating that the couple was yelling and fighting. The Female in the room advised that everything was ok and that her husband was just loud and upset.
  • Commercial Alarm – Tractor Supply. Reference to rear door activation. Units arrived on location. Made Contact with a subject who was found walking behind the business. The subject was advised to leave the area.
  • Suspicious Person – Green St. in reference to the complainant had someone knocking at their door. Negative contact with anyone.
  • Narcotics – S. Madison Ave. – Felker Park in reference to a recreation employee finding a bag of suspected cocaine near a park bench. The substance was collected and placed into evidence.
  • Welfare Check – Tigers Way: In reference to the subject sending text messages of his gun and is on PTSD medication to the complainant. The argument was over voting. All Okay
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. (Walmart) in reference to an older black male subject who allegedly stole a tool. The suspect got into a green Ford Expedition and left the scene.
  • Damage to Property – Stone Creek Dr. in reference to the complainant having her vehicle hit in an unknown parking lot last month.
  • Other Law – S. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy): In reference to exposure to Venom and doctors refused to treat him. Remedies were given.
  • Littering – Custom Way in reference to the complainant at Custom Way complaining of the residents littering on his property.
  • Vehicle Collision – Alcovy St. / Ammons Bridge Rd: In reference to 2 vehicle collision. No injuries. Citation issued. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person – Woodland Rd. In reference to a white male in a silver SUV claimed he was looking for his dog exposed himself. Area checked. Negative contact.
  • Dispute – Forrest Lane in reference to the complainant and her son was arguing.
  • Dispute – N. Broad St. in reference to a b/m wearing a red shirt and black shorts refusing to leave the store and blocking the door for customers. The subject was gone towards Green St.
  • Area check request -W. Spring St. at Hwy 138 in reference to the turn signal possibly out.
  • Private Property Vehicle Accident – Alcovy St. at Monroe Golf and Country Club. In reference to a single-vehicle collision with a tree. No injuries. Report made.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St. (Huddle House): In reference to being charged for food items that she didn’t order. Situation mediated.
  • Accident – E. Washington St. & Midland Ave. Two vehicle accident. Laurie Miller was cited for failure to yield right of way and another subject was transported to Piedmont Walton for injury complaints.
  • Suspicious Person – Etten Dr./W. Spring St – Male subject requested transport to Piedmont Walton. Turned over to EMS.
  • Suspicious Person – Monroe Chamber of Commerce. Reference to a white male sleeping on the front steps of the Chamber of Commerce. The subject was sent on his way.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Henson Dr. Reference a Silver Nissan Maxima parked among trailers. Contact was made with the driver. The driver was sent on his way.
  • Dispute – Walton Truck Stop. Reference to an unknown black male being hostile with employees because his debit card was declined. Subject was gone when officers arrived
  • Commercial Burglary Alarm – Carmichael. Reference a motion detector activation. All windows and doors secured. No audible alarm. All ok.
  • Dispute – Ash St. Two subjects having a verbal argument. One stated that the other threatened him with a knife. No knife was found in her possession and no evidence of physical altercation was found. Parties advised of civil processes and separated.
  • Dispute – Ridge Rd. Verbal dispute between boyfriend and girlfriend. Parties were separated all ok on location.
  • Dispute – Perry St. Reference to a loud dispute being heard from officers on patrol. Made contact with a subject who was arguing with his grandmother. Subject extremely intoxicated. Situation mediated. The subject was given a courtesy ride to Hillcrest apartments to spend the night at another family member’s house.
  • Loud Music – E. Marble St./Gatewood. 3 males on locating playing loud music. They were advised to turn it down.
  • Missing Person – Hill St. Ref to a Mercedes Lackey missing, GCIC form was filled out and turned in. Report was made.
  • Suspicious vehicle – Davis St. Ref vehicle towing a four-wheeler with two children on the back.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St., Beautyville. The customer called in a verbal dispute. The customer was gone prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Vehicle accident with injuries/roadway blockage – at HW138 and W. Spring St. 4 vehicles involved, one with unrestrained juveniles. Turned over to GSP.
  • Animal complaint – MLK Jr. Blvd., Just Wings. Ref to a snake outside. Snake relocated, all ok. Citizen flag down – N. Wayne St. Elderly citizen needing directions, all ok.
  • Lost Item – Walker Dr. In reference to complainant advising someone stole his debit card last date and used it at Dollar General on S. Broad St (2) times this date. Report taken
  • Dispute – Stokes St.- In reference to the subject having a dispute with her boyfriend about him not giving her the keys to their vehicle. Both parties were advised of the civil process. Report taken.
  • Firearms – Tall Oaks E. – In reference to shots fired in the area. The area was checked. All was ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – S. Broad St; Southside. In reference to a red mustang driving reckless. Upon officer arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied and parked in front of a residence. All appeared ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 78 E. & W. Spring St. Tractor-trailer failure to maintain lane. Area checked, negative contact.
  • Dispute – Cook St; Dispute in reference to the custody of a juvenile. Parties separated and situation mediated. Report taken.
  • Firearms – Perry St.- While leaving the previous call Officer heard two gunshots come from the area of Perry Street. An area check was conducted. Negative contact.
  • Traffic Stop – N. Broad St. & Tanglewood Dr. Traffic stop conducted on a blue in color pickup truck for no tag light. The driver had an active warrant out of MPD, but Walton County Sheriff’s Office advised they would not accept. The passenger had a full extradition warrant out of the WCSO for O.C.G.A 16-13-30 sale of marijuana. The driver was released and the passenger was transported to the WCSO jail without incident. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop – HWY 78 EB/ N Broad exit ramp. Vehicle was stopped for failure to maintain lane. During the investigation, the female was arrested for OCGA 40-6-391 (a) D.U.I of Alcohol, OCGA 40-6-48 Failure to maintain lane, and OCGA 40-5-121 driving on suspended. She was transported to the WCSO jail without incident.
  • Suspicious Person – Community Ct. – In reference to a male sleeping behind a building. The subject was advised to leave the area.
