The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period July 23 – 30, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Dispute – Green St. In reference to male on location putting hands on female/complainant. Contact made with female subject who, reluctantly, stated a male subject struck her in the head several times and forcefully took her phone. Negative contact with male subject on scene. Female subject did not wish to press charges. Report taken.
Prowler – S Madison Ave. In reference to someone trying to get into the residence through the front door. Negative contact with subject. Residents advised everything was ok, no signs of forced entry into residence. Area checked.
Other Law – East Spring Street (Short Stop / Valero): In reference to subject coming into the store causing a disturbance. Subject wanted to meet at the Monroe Police Department. Situation was mediated and remedies were explained to both parties. Report made.
Suspicious person – West Creek Circle in reference to a black male subject wearing a green shirt and a face mask walked into the complainant’s yard and attempted to steal a bike. Complainant wanted to let Law Enforcement know.
Domestic Dispute – West Marable Street: In reference to subject not wanting to leave the residence. Report made.
Damage to Property – Ridge Road: In reference to the front door does not latch. Remedies were given to complainant
Entering Auto – Glen Iris Drive: In reference to vehicles being gone though. Report made.
Dispute – Nowell Street In reference to Ex-boyfriend trying to run over the complainant. Complainant said when she got in front of subjects’ vehicle to prevent him from leaving subject pushed the gas causing her to fall on the hood.
Unknown Law – Mill Stone Bluff -Anonymous caller demanded the police then disconnected the line, dispatch had no answer on call back. Checked both apartments, both residences advised they did not call, there was no signs of a dispute.
Lost Property Report – S. Broad St MPD: In reference to complainant lost his wallet at Walmart on Wednesday. Report taken.
Dispute – West Marable St. in reference two subjects arguing and one of them are refusing to leave. Complainant was complaining about her boyfriend would not leave her alone.
Dispute – Nowell St – in reference to complainant wanted an Officer to criminal trespass subject from her residence. Supplemental report added to case number from call.
Dispute – South Broad Street (Walgreens): In reference to not getting her debit card back from the store clerk. Compaliant stated she was able to locate the card. All Okay.
Fraud -MPD -Complainant called in reference to unknown subjects opening fraudulent accounts and services with her social security number. Remedies advised; report taken.
Domestic Dispute – Parkway Place: In reference to complainant stated that a named subject hit her. He was placed under arrest for simple battery.
Report of missing person – West Washington Street. Reference to complainant calling to report 19y/o brother missing. Brother returned home while report was being taken.
Traffic Stop – South Madison Avenue / Towler Street. Reference to a white Hyundai SUV stopped for driving without a license plate. Further investigation led to the arrest of a named subject for Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of drug related objects
Dispute – Masters Dr. Intoxicated male on location refusing to leave. Officers were able to find him a ride and send him home.
