MPD Reports: Entering auto, person found deceased during welfare check

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 21 – 28, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Civil Issue – Walker Dr.: Met with a subject who question concerning the eviction process. The civil process was explained to the subject.  
  • Meet With – Walker Dr.: Met with a subject who had questions about another subject leaving and taking his personal belongings.
  • Civil Dispute – Walker Dr. in reference to calls previous. Parties were advised of civil remedies and the eviction process.
  • Entering Auto – S. Broad Street – Sky Collision in reference to someone taking an individual’s amp and speakers from the trunk of her vehicle. Report taken.
  • EMS Assist – E. Marable St. – In reference to a subject wanting to be transported to the hospital. Turned over to EMS.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Michael Cir. in reference to a black truck sitting in the neighborhood for an extended period of time. Made contact with the driver of the truck who lives on Overlook Trail who advised he was out looking for his dog.
  • EMS Assist – Bryant Rd. – In reference to a subject checking on her sister. The sister was found deceased in the home. Turned over to Criminal Investigation Division.
  • Follow Up – Walker Dr. – In reference to speaking with a subject about clarification with eviction and TPO process.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. (Wal-Mart): Mr. Reed had two subjects in his office for leaving the store without paying for I-phone covers. Criminal Trespass was issued to both parties. Mr. Reed declined a report at this time. 19M030114
  • Dispute – Hwy 78 – Walton Truck Stop in reference to an unruly customer cursing on location and when asked to stop by the clerk the subject became upset. Upon the clerk dialing 911 the subject left. Nothing further.
  • Suspicious Person – N. Broad St.; Caller advised of a white male laying on the bench in front of the store. Made contact with the subject who stated he was resting and waiting on his mother to come and get him later on.
  • Suspicious Person – Dollar General S. Broad St. in reference to a female subject on location trying to get to her home in the county. Due to the heavy intoxication she was taken to the ER by EMS. All ok.
