The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 12 – 19, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Found Property – Claywill dr. Subject located a wallet on the ground outside of his driveway. Was able to get in touch with the owner and return the wallet. Nothing was missing from the wallet.
Road Rage – Stonecreek Bend: caller being followed by an angry unknown driver. Negative Contact with other vehicle.
Dispute – Meadow Walk Dr Subject verbally disputing with his sister. All okay.
Dispute – Meadow Walk Dr – In reference to subject having a dispute with his sister. Subject was bleeding from his hand, lack of testimony and cooperation. Sister gone when officers arrived. Report documented.
Suspicious Person -Baron Dr & Eagles Tr van parked suspicious in the area. Negative
Traffic Stop/DUI – N Broad St & Perry St. vehicle observed driving recklessly by officer. Vehicle stopped and driver found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
Suspicious Vehicle – W Marable St – In reference to an unknown person asking subject for drugs. Vehicle parked behind his house belonged to his neighbor, area check for unknown person, no one found.
Suspicious Vehicle – Rivers of Mercy – Vehicle parked beside church. Subject sitting in the vehicle was arrested for possession and transported to jail.
Wanted person – Gwinnett County Jail in reference to pick up a subject for a FTA warrant. Gwinnett County canceled the call due to the subject not ready to be picked up.
Entering Auto – Towler Street. Comlainant reported that her vehicle was broken into sometime last night around 2230 hours. The suspect used a large rock to break the passenger side front window. $600 cash was stolen. Report taken.
Wanted person – Gwinnett County Jail in reference to pick up of wanted person.
911 Hang Up/Dispute – West Spring Street (Haven Inn & Suite. Complainant said subject was causing a disturbance in the lobby after being caught smoking cigarettes in the hotel room he was in. Subject left after paying what he owed, without incident.
Suspicious Person – West Spring Street: in reference to a person possibly wanting to hurt himself. Contact was made with subject is trying to get back to Florida. All okay.
Lock Vehicle – West Spring Street (Roses): In reference to keys being locked in the vehicle. Vehicle opened. No damage. The subject had a warrant for failure to appear warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Civil issue – Claywill Cir. Subject had questions about the eviction process. I answered all the questions she had to best of my ability.
Juveniles – Hill Street in reference to juveniles playing basketball on the property and there are signs states No Trespassing. Juveniles have permission to be on the property.
Dispute – Gliding Ln. Subject and her nephew were having a disagreement about nephews’ mother, who lives next door to subject. Issue was resolved.
