MPD Reports: Entering auto, street drag racing, cat stuck between windows and screen and sexual assault report

The City of Monroe Police Department reports the following incidents for the period Oct. 22 – 29, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Theft – King Street: missing purse. Complainant stated her vehicle was entered on September 20th, report taken for documentation purposes. 

Suspicious Person – Irving Place subject refusing to leave the property. Subject left the property. All Okay. 

Drag Racing – Baron Drive: In reference to motorcycles racing up and down the street. Area Check. Negative contact. 

Suspicious Person – North Broad Street (Scoops): Subject on location loitering. Criminal Trespass Warning issued. 

Entering Auto – King Street. Complainant stating sometime between 1800 on 26OCT and 1530 on 27OCT, someone had removed her wallet and $30 in cash from her vehicle. Possibly occurred at McDonalds. Report taken. 

Suspicious Person – South Broad Street (Johns Supermarket) Subject walking downtown in and out of the roadway. Subject had TBI and was turned over to his father on scene. 

Sexual Assault – West Spring Street (Piedmont Walton). In reference to 4-year-old female making sexual assault allegations of a family member. Turned over to CID. 

Foot Pursuit – Lacy Street – subject fleeing on foot in the area. He was arrested and transported to the jail. 

Intoxicated Person – East Spring Street (Valero) Subject on location drunk, asking for money, and scaring customers. He was told to leave. 

Prowler – Towler Street. Complainant stating her uncle on location drunk and disorderly. He was gone on arrival. Area searched. Negative contact. 

Dispute – West Spring Street (Piedmont Walton) – In reference to subject sitting at the hospital entrance refusing treatment. He was given two choices, leave or get medical attention, he chose medical attention. All ok. 

Dispute – Unisia Drive (Hitachi) Subject not wanting to leave after being fired. After subject gathered her belongings, she was escorted off the property. 

Dispute – Magnolia Terr. In reference to subject and her boyfriend getting into a dispute. Report taken. 

Animal complaint – Green St. Ref to WC Animal control refusing to respond to a cat stuck between a screen and a window. Cat was removed from inside the house. No report needed. 

Road rage – Breedlove Dr., The Cottages. Incident occurred in the County’s jurisdiction. Options were advised. 

Trespassing – Ridge Rd. Report of subject on location with warrants. Subject did not have warrants and complainant was advised of civil process 

Follow up – East Marable St., Housing Authority. Updated list of barred persons taken to 911 center. 

Prisoner transport – HW78 and Edmondson Rd. Four persons transported for JointOps due to number of persons and need to keep separate. 

Theft report – South Broad St- In reference to complainant reporting that someone stole her political sign out of her front yard. 

Civil Dispute – East Washington St. Dispute between parties over Halloween costume given as gift. gift returned and situation mediated. 

Prisoner transport – South Broad St., MPD. Transported one to jail for JointOps after interview, all ok. 

Other Law – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton. In reference to the complainant being uncomfortable to go home to their husband, due to a dispute that occurred on 10/27/2020. Subject was transported to Haven Inn where FISH had a room for them. 

Harassment – Overlook Tr. In reference to someone harassing the complainant’s juvenile online. Remedies were advised, as well as the TPO process explained to the complainant and complainant’s son. 

Firearms – S Broad St. Southside Mobile Home Park. In reference to the complainant stating they heard shots behind their trailer. Negative contact, the area was checked. 

Suspicious Vehicle – W Spring St. Walmart. In reference to juveniles possibly smoking marijuana in several vehicles per the complainant. Juveniles dispersed from the parking lot while on scene. 

Suspicious Vehicle – Russell Dr. Hammond Park. – Subjects were advised of park house and sent on their way. 

Prowler Report – E Spring St. In reference to the complainant advising someone bumped their door, which caused the dogs to bark. Complainant advised that they did not see anyone outside the residence. Negative contact with any subject(s) around the residence. All ok. 

Suspicious Person – E Church St at Felker St. In reference to a white female, wearing a red shirt, and black pants. Female asked complainant to call the police, due to the female’s boyfriend taking her phone. Report taken. 

Suicide Threats – Oak Rdg. In reference to subject advising his son that he was leaving this world. History of alcohol and drug usage. Contact was made with subject who stated he was ok and did not wish to seek any help. 

Traffic Stop – E Church St at Landers St. – Vehicle stopped due to driver failing to maintain lane. Driver, did not have a drivers’ license. He was taken into custody and fingerprinted. He was released on a citation for driving while unlicensed. 

Juvenile Complaint – Old Mill Pt In reference to the complainant’s teenagers on location fighting. Juvenile on location went back inside the residence. The complaint was advised of remedies. All ok. 

Damage to Property – Baron Dr tree that fell on the apartment. Report taken.
