MPD Reports: Ex wife lets air out of tires, Snapchat lockout and 11-year-old gets mean Instagram message

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 13 – 20, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Other Law – Cherry Hill Rd in reference to a subject in the back-parking lot doing doughnuts in his vehicle after an argument with his ex-girlfriend. Kevin was gone on arrival. Magistrate Judge issued a warrant for his arrest for reckless driving 
  • Theft Report – Ford St. in reference to complainant wanting to report alleged mail theft from Southside mobile home park by subject. The complainant was referred to the property manager in reference to making them aware of the situation.
  • Damage to Property – at Camptown Gardens in reference to complainants’ vehicle tires air let out by ex-wife. Report taken.
  • Follow Up – Landers Street – In reference to the subject being questioned by SC Jurisdiction. All ok.
  • Dispute – Wheel House Ln. In reference to complainant wanting to get furniture items from the residence. Both parties advised of civil remedies.
  • Dispute – W. Marable St. Complainant was upset because the subject was on location and intoxicated. She wanted him removed so that she could sleep. The subject left for the night.
  • Civil matter – S. Broad St. Complainant was upset that her vehicle was towed after she was evicted. She was advised on how to handle it.
  • Fraud – MPD. Female on location stated that she gave a male friend of hers, her Snapchat password and he has now locked her out. She was advised to contact Snapchat and to not give out her information to friends.
  • Welfare check – Sporty Ln. Caller requested that we make contact with her daughter. She had not spoken to her in two days. Made contact and advised her to call her mother.
  • Dispute – Piedmont Walton. Parties on location in a verbal dispute. Staff advised them to leave, and parties were gone on arrival.
  • Dispute – Forest St. Complainant stated that she allowed a friend at this location to borrow a bow tool and now the friend will not give it back. The complaint lives in the County and was advised that if she needs a report that she would have to contact Walton County Sheriff’s Office and that it is a civil matter.
  • Mental person – Perry St. at Green St. Male walking in the area requested to be taken to the mental hospital. Conducted an area check no contact, called from a 911 only phone.
  • Dispute – Alcovy St. Complainant advised her sister would not let her in the house to get the kids ready for school. The complainant was advised of the eviction process and the sister was allowed back into the residence.
  • Threats – Bridgeport Ln. in reference to complainant’s 11-year-old niece receiving mean Instagram messages from a boy in Boston. Remedies advised.
  • Agency assist – HW138 and Alcovy River bridge. Law enforcement in foot chase with shoplifting suspect. WCSO deployed dog, area searched with negative contact.
  • Welfare check – HW78, Waffle House. WCSO requested an officer attempt to make contact with a white female with a large suitcase. Female’s property was located behind the Waffle House, negative contact with the female.
  • Missing Persons – Old Mill Point in reference to a missing 11-year-old juvenile. Juvenile located prior to officer arrival.
  • Juvenile complaint – S. Broad St. in reference to 14-year-old running away from his father and last seen walking in the area of Walker Drive. A search was done of the area of Southside MHP and Walker Drive with negative contact. Juvenile is believed to be with a friend on Walker Dr. and was entered as missing onto GCIC.
