MPD Reports: Firearms discharged and dog abandoned by former tenants

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incident reports for the period March 14 – 21, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – S. Madison: Complainant and his son on the scene in reference to a “Shadow” subject possibly taking items. Report taken.
  • Animal complaint – Hubbard St: Complainant reported a dog being left at the residence by the former tenants. The dog does not appear malnourished and is vicious to the point that you can’t enter the yard to feed him. Animal control was advised to respond tomorrow.
  • Suspicious Person – Custom Way and Baron Dr.: While on the scene in reference to juvenile call, flagged down in reference to a subject of Statham on scene displaying a firearm and making threats. According to witnesses, subject discharged firearm before leaving. Shell casing located. Warrants to be taken, report taken.
  • Possession of marijuana w/intent) Baron Dr; Taheem Washington was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
  • Burglary In Progress – Atha Street. The complainant called and advised several subjects entered his residence and stole a shotgun while he was home. Multiple suspects identified one juvenile apprehended.
  • Dispute – Springer: Alexus Thomas arrested for disorderly conduct after arguing in the street for over 2 hours. Cited and released to the custody of WCSO jail.
  • Wanted Person – Alcovy Rd. Jason Marable arrested for Violation of Probation.
  • Counterfeit – Millcreek Way: Complainant said a tenant on Storehouse Ct. who stays in one of the apartments they do not own said she found 34-$100 counterfeit bills in the street.  The bills all have the exact same information on them.
  • Domestic Dispute – N. Broad St./Sorrells St. and Booth Dr. in ref: two B/F’s fighting. One had scraps and blood on her left pinky finger and right elbow. Arrest made, report taken.
  • Wanted Person – Alcovy St. Christopher McCrimmon on the scene with a probation warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to the county jail.
  • Civil Dispute – S. Broad St.  –  Officers Flagged Down in reference to a civil dispute over property between three individuals. Civil remedies were advised and parties we separated for the day.
  • Harassment – Walker Dr; Mother reported her 14-year-old son was receiving harassing messages from 17-year-old. The subject was found in Southside MHP and was given a criminal trespass warning for the Walker Dr. address.
  • Traffic Stop – Hwy 78 E at W. Spring in reference to a being stopped for a tag light he was arrested for Driving Without License and released on a copy of the citation.
