MPD Reports: Firearms stolen from vehicles, damage to property and slew of domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 26 – Oct. 3, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Damage to Property – E. Marable St.: Complainant who is the manager for the Housing Authority stated that the playground was vandalized over the past week. Report taken. 
  • Meet With – S. Broad St.: Complainant wanted extra patrol in the area of Davis St. / Ash St.
  • Domestic Dispute – Perry St.: Complainant stated that her son got into a verbal argument over her boyfriend owing her son some money. Report Taken.
  • Domestic Dispute – Davis St. One subject arrested after she and another subject got into a fight with each other.
  • Runaway Juvenile – S. Broad St.: Mother stated that her daughter left the residence at Classic Trl. on the 28th and hasn’t returned home. Report taken.
  • Theft – S. Broad St. – Complainant advised he moved from the Providence Club to the Cottages on Breedlove Dr. Complainant said at some point in that move and he is unsure of exactly where that the moving company stole items from him. The complainant said he tried to keep this civil and asked the moving company who is run by subject, to return the items. The complainant said the subject has refused and claims he does not know what he is referring to. Advised of the civil process and report taken.
  • Dispute – N. Broad St. – In reference to complainant upset her husband threatened to throw her clothes out since she told him she was leaving with her boyfriend. No claim of family violence. The husband was gone on arrival.
  • Fraud – W. Spring St.: Complainant advised a subject passed a fraudulent check on 09/26/2019. Report taken.
  • Domestic Dispute – Pinecrest Dr.: Two subjects on location in a physical altercation. Both parties stated the other attacked them. They were advised to stay separately unable to determine who the primary aggressor is at this time report taken.
  • Entering Auto – S. Broad St.: Complainant said on Saturday his vehicle was entered while at WalMart. His MP9 S&W was taken and an air pump. Firearm put on GCIC. Report Taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Cook St. Complainant stated that two young males were playing in the roadway outside of her house. When she attempted to pass them, they then called her a snitch and told her to get out of the way. She then yelled back at them at which time the threw rocks at her car. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Chestnut Ln. in reference to the callers’ boyfriend taking her car. The caller refused to meet with officers and left location.
  • Welfare Check – Pine Crest Dr. in reference to previous domestic call worked on Day Shift. The female party was no longer on location. Male was ok.
  • Dispute – Davis St. in reference to female and subject in an altercation. The female was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Jailed. Subject advised of additional options. Report Made
  • Harassing phone calls – Birch St: Complainant reported receiving harassing calls from a subject since August.
  • DUI – W. Spring St. @ Wayne St; A female subject was arrested and charged with DUI Drugs less safe and failure to obey traffic control device.
  • Dispute – Chestnut Lane in reference to domestic dispute between two subjects. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Persons – E. Spring St; Two subjects were found walking in the middle of the roadway from the Monroe Motor Inn to the closed Valero. Subjects were given a courtesy ride back to Monroe Motor Inn.
