MPD Reports: Five female juveniles allegedly steal a car from Athens

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 6 – 12, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Agency Assist / Stolen Vehicle – in the area of Old Mill Point in reference to a Pontiac G6 bearing GA Tag – RQE2061. While en-route, Officers were advised that the vehicle was on W. Spring St. Officers performed a felony traffic stop. Five female juveniles were taken into custody, and later released to their guardians. Athens Clarke County is taking charges for theft by taking auto.
  • Dispute – S. Broad St. Physical dispute between the complainant and Joshua Currie. Warrant to be taken against Currie for Family Violence, Battery and Aggravated Stalking. Gwinnett County PD was advised to check an address in Loganville in which they located Currie and took him into custody. Currie was fingerprinted and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Mental Person – Davis St. in reference to a subject on location causing a disturbance. He was transported by EMS to Piedmont-Walton for an evaluation.
  • DOA – Tall Oaks E. Subject was found unresponsive. She has an extensive medical history. Criminal Investigation Division was notified. Turned over to Walton County Coroner.
  • Sex Assault – Nowell St. in reference to complainant wanting to report her 21 year-old boyfriend having inappropriate sexual contact with a 16-year-old female at Southlake Mall.  Complainant was advised to contact the agency where the incident occurred to report it further.
  • Dispute – Fawnfield Dr.: Complainant and Rosalyn Madison got into a physical dispute. Rosalyn was arrested on multiple charges.
  • Prowler – Meadowalk Dr. met with a complainant who believed an unknown party had possibly entered her home. The residence was cleared. All ok
  • Meet With – Knight St. Complainant requested to meet with OIC due to a complaint regarding neighbors’ children coming onto his property and trespassing. Also complains of loud music and unwanted traffic in the area. Options were explained to the complainant who was heavily intoxicated. Extra Patrol requested.
  • Dispute – E. Church St.: Subject trespassed from Jack Peters store after causing a disturbance. Complainant advised he has been getting more aggressive lately and they are scared of what he might do.
  • Reckless Car – Hwy 138 coming into city. White Toyota Prius. Stopped by Georgia State Patrol before reaching the city.
  • Loitering – Golden Pantry N. Broad. Due to crowd from Da Grand loitering in the parking lot. Clerk advised all female staff members do not feel safe when Da Grand closes.  Large groups stealing items from the store and cussing out the staff after every event at Da Grand. Request extra patrol.
  • Dispute – Knight St.: After a dispute, Alexis Williams was arrested for aggravated assault, battery, and felony obstruction.
  • Dispute – Maple Ln. Parties separated before arrival. All ok
  • Dispute – King St. in reference to two juvenile brothers on location in a physical altercation. Mother was advised and responded to the scene. All ok.
