MPD Reports: Follow up to entering autos and slew of domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 11 – 17, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle/Person, Felker Park, reference to female subject meeting someone at the park. She was advised to meet somewhere else.
  • Dispute, Colquitt St., reference to a female subject and her ex-husband disputing. Both parties were gone when officers arrived. The complainant requested a report for ex-husband pushing the female subject into the wall which caused a hole. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle/Person, City Hall, reference to two juveniles on location talking in a red Dodge Ram. Nothing further.
  • Follow Up, Colquitt St., reference to speaking with a female subject about earlier call. Report taken for family violence, no report requested for the hole in the wall.
  • Suspicious Persons, Church St., reference to two male subjects walking down the road in dark clothing. Subjects were identified and were walking to the store. Nothing further.
  • Criminal Trespass, Ash St., reference to the male subject from earlier call coming home and finding food all over his bed. His roommate said female subject came to the location and did it. This incident is linked to earlier call.
  • Mental Patient, West Spring St., met with the hospital staff. He stated named mental patient was acting out and disrespecting the staff. He requested that we talk to him about his actions.  The incident was mediated. All ok.
  • Stolen Vehicle, South Broad St., 2001 Ford Taurus and 2004 Ford F150 stolen possibly by named subject. Report taken. Vehicles entered GCIC/NCIC
  • Dispute, South Broad St., Derek Brown arrested for Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrants.
  • Follow Up, South Broad St., complainant called in reference to the named subject from earlier call possibly returning the stolen car. After speaking with the male subject, it was determined to be a civil issue. The male subject was cited for driving while license suspended.
  • Dispute, Victory Dr., mother advised that her 15-year-old autistic son, became upset after she told him he could not have candy. Situation mediated.
  • Dispute, South Madison Ave., complainant wanted the police to stand by while she reposessed a vehicle. Met with female subject who said everything was ok. All ok.
  • Damage to Property, West Spring St., complainant stated a lady was pushing a buggy between the vehicles and struck her passenger side mirror. She left in a Blk Nissan with Ga Tag given. Report Taken.
  • Illegal Parking, West Spring St., made contact with the registered owner of the vehicle Ga Tag #. He moved the vehicle to a parking spot. All ok.
  • Domestic Dispute, Bryant Rd., complainant stated her husband got into an argument over the truck. She stated they are going through the divorce proceeding. Both parties separated and the incident was mediated. Report Taken.
  • Fraud Report, South Broad St., complainant reporting fraud on her Navy Federal Account on 11/28/2019.
  • Trespassing, South Broad St., the complainant advised two male subjects came into his business. They advised they were filming a movie. Complainant believes they took of a hinge to the business door to gain entry. Complainant declined a report.
  • Civil Matter, 4th St., the mother allowed her son to use her vehicle 2 days ago. He has not returned it. She was explained the civil process of getting the vehicle back.
  • Dispute, Ridge Rd., complainant advised that multiple parties pulled her out of a car and slammed her on the ground.  She did not know the names of the subjects nor did she wish to press any charges.  She requested to go to the hospital.  It was determined a dispute did not take place and complainant has a mental condition.  Turned over to EMS.
  • DOA, Victory Dr., reference to wife finding her husband unresponsive. CPR was attempted but was unsuccessful. CID notified.
  • Dispute, West Marable, reference to a male and female disputing loudly. Negative contact.
  • EMS Assist, Carwood Dr., reference to a male subject that has a history of seizures possibly drunk. Turned over to EMS.
  • Dispute, Maple Lane, reference to mother and her daughter disputing. Mother was intoxicated and doesn’t remember why they were disputing. The daughter said her mom just started talking crazy and she wanted her to leave. Parties separated, report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring Street/Carwash, an officer observed a white male walking down the road.  Due to the entering autos in the area Officer made contact with the subject to identify him.  The subject was identified.  Subject gave consent to be searched.  He did not have anything illegal on his person.  He was sent on his way.
  • Suspicious Person, McDaniel St./Wayne St., an officer observed a black male walking in the area.  Officer made contact in order to identify him due to entering autos in the area.  The subject was identified.  He stated he was going to meet his girlfriend.  Everything came back ok on the subject.
  • Shoplifting, Walmart, Brycen Orr attempted to leave the store with unpaid items by trying to exit out of the closed side of Walmart. His clothing had large bulges which made it obvious that he was shoplifting. Female items were located on his person. Arrest made, Report taken.
  • Unknown, Pinecrest, Holly Hill Rd., reference to a male laying on the side of the road. All was ok.
  • Dispute, East Spring St., Taylors, the complainant did not have all the proper paperwork to retrieve his vehicle that was towed last date by WCSO. He was advised of remedies.
  • Traffic Stop, Sorrells St., Booth Dr., Tag # was ran and returned with no insurance. Freddie Malcom was identified as the driver and also showed an active warrant out of Athens/Clarke County. Malcom was issued citations for no insurance and transported to the WCSO. The vehicle was towed by towing co.
  • Dispute, East Spring St., Dollar General, employees advised an older white male with a beard came into the store causing a dispute and using vulgar language. The manager requested the male be criminally trespassed. Officers located the male at the Monroe Motor Inn. Male refused to sign the CT warning but was advised to stay away from Dollar General for two years.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., KFC, the complainant on location wanting to retrieve her last paycheck. The manager advised complainant needed to return her uniform first. Both parties were advised this was a civil matter.
  • Wanted Person, South Hammond Dr., Walton County Government Building, reference to a female subject on location with an active warrant. Officers made contact with the subject who was placed under arrest for the warrant. She then started having a seizure and was turned over to Walton EMS.
  • Follow-Up, South Broad St., Ian Henderson’s Antique Mall, reference to complainant having more information and surveillance images of three male subjects who forced their way into his business last date. Report taken.
  • Dispute, Eagles Trail, complainant disputing with a female subject over named person’s clothing. The complainant advised female took his clothing with him this morning when he left. All ok.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., Huddle House, reference to complainant disputing with staff over a paycheck. He was advised of remedies.
  • Wanted Person, South Broad St., MPD in reference to subject on location to turn herself in. She was arrested, fingerprinted and taken to the Walton County Jail. Supplemental added.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart. James Bolen was arrested for shoplifting along with a probation violation warrant through Loganville PD. He was fingerprinted and turned over to the Walton County Jail.
  • Theft Report, East Washington St., Synovus Bank, employees advised that the daughter of named female took money ($183) from the drive-thru that was left behind by accident by another customer. They made contact with named female in reference to the missing money. The money was returned prior to officer arrival. Report declined.
  • Drug Activity, South Broad St., Chevron, reference to a male with a book bag and female with a blonde ponytail walking in a group asking for rolling paper for drugs. Officers made contact with a group of juveniles matching the description walking down South Madison Avenue. Consent was given to search the book bag. All ok, no contraband was located.
  • Suspicious Person, Holly Hill, reference to a male subject. He was advised to move on.
  • Dispute, Spruce Lane, son disputing with his mom over her not taking her medication. The situation was mediated, Son was advised of remedies.
  • Juvenile Complaint, 6th St., reference to a teenage juvenile on location with other juveniles without adult supervision. Male subject stated his father in law and mother in law were in the hospital and the 14-year-old was left on location by herself. Negative contact with anyone on location.
  • Sexual Assault, report taken at MPD. South Broad St.
