MPD Reports: Inappropriate photos sent and received by 12-year-old; threats of shooting others

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Aug. 27 to Sept. 3, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Other law – South Madison Ave. Ref to 12-year-old female sending and receiving inappropriate photos. CID notified, child and mother taken to PD for interviews.

Threats – S Broad St. In reference to a neighbor threatening to shoot the complainant. Neighbor no longer on location.  

EMS assist – Bay Willow Ct. In reference to a 20-30-year-old male.  Two subjects were sleeping heavily in their vehicle after cutting the lawn at the complainants’ address.  Consent to search vehicle was granted. Nothing illegal or suspicious found in the vehicle. Father of one of the subjects retrieved both parties and the vehicle. All okay.  

Other Law – W Spring St. Pizza Hut. In reference to the manager not coming into work or answering their phone. Staff was advised their manger is currently in Walton County jail.  

Dispute – Bryant Rd. In reference to complainant hearing screaming/yelling. Negative contact with residents at the apartment. Did not hear anyone actively screaming/yelling or asking for help.  

Suspicious Person – E Marable St at Turner St. In reference to a black male in the area, yelling and threatening to shoot everyone. Patrolled the area with negative contact of the suspicious subject.  

Other Law – W Spring St. Quality Foods. In reference to the complainant advising their 26-year-old female daughter refusing to come home. Complainant also advised that daughter has a 1-year-old with her. Complainant’s daughter returned home.
