MPD Reports: Injured hawk attacks people, K9 roaming loose and juvenile complaints

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 5 – 12, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Assault – E. Church St.; Chevron – Complainant reported an unknown assailant threw a soda bottle at him while inside the gas station. This occurred because the male wanted the complainant’s money. Report taken 
  • Dispute – Inheritance Park . in reference to a group of females fighting. The area was checked and nobody was located. All ok.
  • Assault – Piedmont Walton – Complainant was assaulted by her boyfriend. The boyfriend reportedly threw his phone at complainants’ face during an argument, breaking her nose. The complainant stated she was going to come to the Magistrate Court Monday to take warrants on her boyfriend.
  • Dispute – Hickory Dr. – Complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend was trying to force his way into her house. Parties were separated and the complainant advised she didn’t want to press charges on her ex-boyfriend. He signed a Criminal Trespass warning and was advised he couldn’t come back to complainant’s house again. Due to him admitting he had been drinking before the incident he was given a ride home by his mother.
  • Missing Person – S. Madison Ave. The complainant advised that her son has been missing since approximately 2130 hours. Report taken. Son later returned home. All ok
  • Suspicious Person – Pine Crest Dr. and Crestview – Subject on location with a hurt leg. The subject stated he had been on location for about two hours and was unable to get help. Turned over to EMS.
  • Prisoner Transport – Justice Blvd. Griffin, GA. – Spalding County Jail. In reference to a subject on location with a City of Monroe Failure to Appear warrant. He was fingerprinted and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Victory Dr. Mother advised her 16-year-old son won’t stop asking her to drop the juvenile case she has against him. Remedies were advised. All okay.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St. – Piedmont Walton in reference to a subject on location refusing to leave. The subject advised he had no money or anyone’s phone number to call. In addition, there was no one at his residence that had a license or car to come get him, and the subject was just released from the hospital for a leg injury so he could not walk. Loganville PD and Snellville PD were contacted for assistance. The subject was taken to Loganville PD who transported him to Snellville.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Old Mill Point in reference to Grandmother verbally disputing with her 13-year-old grandson over him being unruly. Situation mediated.
  • Injured Animal – E. Spring S. – Brown Oil in reference to an injured Hawk attacking people. Hawk was gone on arrival.
  • Dispute – Green St. in reference to a subject stating someone took her purse. She advised the purse was returned and she no longer needed police assistance.
  • Dispute – S. Broad St. – MPD. The female advised she was in a domestic dispute with her husband on Jacks Creek Road. Turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Animal Complaint – Pine View Dr. In reference to the K9 from Mountain View Dr. roaming the neighborhood without supervision. The complainant was advised to contact animal control during their hours of operation. The Officer on the scene made contact with a juvenile on location at Mtn View and advised him to advise his parents of the complaint.
  • Follow Up – S. Madison Ave. – WCSO in reference to grandmother wanting officers to take her grandson due to him acting unruly. Grandmother was advised to follow up with DFCS in the morning.
  • Missing Person – S. Broad St. in reference to dementia patient walking away from the personal care home. Patient was located on S. Broad Street and returned to the personal care home.
  • Damage to Property – Magnolia Ter. Complainant advised kids in the neighborhood damaged his Christmas decorations. Report taken.
  • EMS Assist – Cook St. – Subject taken by EMS to hospital for suicidal thoughts.
  • Domestic Dispute – N. Broad St. (Golden Pantry): In reference to a male yelling at a female. Mr. Mikle was arrested for Criminal Trespass due to damaging the female’s dash board in her vehicle. Report taken.
