MPD Reports: Intoxicated man finds his gun in his boot after blaming his girlfriend for loss

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 28 – Oct. 4, 2018. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest and charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Civil Issue, West Vine St., reference to complainant having male subject evicted this date. Complainant believes the male subject is still visiting and is driving a White Chevy pickup truck. He requested extra patrol.
  • Sexual Assault report taken at South Broad St., Monroe Police Dept., reference to mother advising her 10-year-old daughter was molested by named subject. An incident report was already on file and a supplemental narrative was added.
  • Dispute, West Creek Circle, two female subjects were verbally disputing. The situation was mediated.
  • Meet with Officer, Knight St., reference to a complainant who was currently in Oakwood wanting an Officer to see if his vehicle was on location. He stated he has reported his 2018 gray Kia Forte stolen by named female subject to the City of Gainesville PD. The vehicle was not on location nor was named female subject. The complainant advised he had additional information to provide on the Kia. The complainant was advised to contact Gainesville PD with the info.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Michael Etchinson/Wellington Dr., reference to a white truck parked against the curb on Wellington Dr. at Wellington Lane. The vehicle was not blocking traffic or the entrance to the neighborhood. Attempted to contact the owner but was not able to locate a working phone number. All Ok.
  • Traffic Stop, Hwy 78/Jim Daws Rd., Nathan White stopped for traffic violation. A probable cause search of his vehicle found Mr. White to be in possession of 17 grams of marijuana. He was cited, fingerprinted and released on a copy of his citation.
  • Stolen Car, Booth Dr., met with a complainant who stated they woke up this morning to find their car had been stolen. Keys were not with the vehicle; no broken glass was found and drag marks similar to a tow truck were found where the car was parked. Spoke with the owner who stated they were still paying on the car. The owner was not on location and advised to come to Monroe to file a report.  Possible repo of the vehicle. All Ok
  • Suspicious Person, Meadowalk Dr., complainant reported an unknown intoxicated male in his backyard who refused to leave. Robert Towler was located and arrested for public drunkenness.
  • Dispute, Glen Iris Dr. met with a complainant who advised named female subject was causing an issue. Spoke with both parties and no domestic violence occurred, however female subject continued to cause an issue/disturbance and refused to comply with the officer and therefore was taken to Walton County Sheriff’s Office jail and turned over to the jail staff on Disorderly Conduct citation. Report taken.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., reference to a patient by name cussing at the staff.  Subject was calmed down prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Intoxicated Person, East Washington St., reference to son drinking at his mother’s after rehab. The mother wanted her son to leave since he lives in Madison and causing trouble. Ride called for the son who left residence.
  • Dispute, Cook St., a complainant was disputing with his new roommate over the electric bill.  I advised the complainant of the eviction process if he was unhappy with the living agreement he made.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Broad St., Walton Mill, reference to officer seeing a vehicle pull into the mill.  Got out with three individuals.  Stated they were out looking for scrapped metal.  Advised to get permission for it and about loitering law.  Everything ok.
  • EMS Assist, Radford St., reference to a 16-year-old feeling sick after smoking marijuana. Turned over to EMS.
  • Unknown Problem on MLK Jr. Blvd in reference to subjects in a gray passenger car physically disputing. The vehicle was stopped by GSP. The situation was mediated.
  • Found Property, Perry St., reference to resident finding an air powered bb revolver on location. The serial number was run through GCIC and returned not stolen. The gun was collected and submitted into evidence as found property. Report taken.
  • Gas Drive-Off, Bold Springs Rd., Allstar, reference to an unknown subject pumping $248.00 worth of off-road diesel and not paying for it.
  • 911 Hang up, West Creek Circle, reference to wife verbally disputing with her husband over taking medication. All ok.
  • Civil Issue, South Broad St., Monroe Police Dept., reference to complainant having questions about the eviction process. East was referred to the Magistrate Office
  • Domestic Dispute, Carver Place, reference to son disputing with his mother over disciplining another. The situation was mediated, parties were separated. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Home Depot, reference to a white male wearing a white t-shirt and khaki pants walking on the side of the roadway, possibly intoxicated.
  • Dispute, East Spring St., Monroe Auto Brokers, reference to employee requesting a customer leave the location. Dispute over a car sale. Situation mediated.
  • Shoplifting, East Spring St., Dollar General, Jessica Tanner was arrested for shoplifting. She was fingerprinted and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks Lane, reference to female subject being off her medication. Female was given a ride to Pine Park St. to be with another family member.
  • Dispute, North Madison Ave/Edwards St., reference to two subjects in a verbal dispute. Called in third party, everything on location ok.
  • Dispute, Claywill Circle, reference to a dispute between two subjects. One subject was GOA. Report taken.
  • Runaway, Nowell St., reference to a subject being unruly. The subject was calmed down and taken to Ridgeview by Family. Report Taken and report to DFCS
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., female subject was on location causing a scene with customers and employees and possibly suffering from mental issues.  She was advised to leave the premises.
  • Trespassing, Vine St., reference to a male subject being on the property after being evicted. He was not on location when MPD arrived. All ok.
  • Traffic Stop, Hwy 78/Unisia Dr., Calvin Hullender stopped for traffic violation.  A probable cause search of Mr. Hullender’s vehicle found him to be in possession of approximately 12 grams of marijuana.  Mr. Hullender was fingerprinted and released on a copy of the citation.
  • Dispute, Norris St., reference to complainant saying named subject pointed a gun at him during a dispute over dogs. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, MLK Jr Blvd., reference to kids playing football in the parking lot. Made contact with a group of teenagers and advised them to stay away from vehicles. All ok
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Magnolia Terrace, reference to a vehicle on Tall Oaks Lane with lights shining in complainant’s window. Driver turned lights off.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Meadowbrook Drive/Kelton Rd., reference to a gold passenger car parked near the stop sign.  Jujuan Hollingsworth and Mickael Bradford were both arrested for Schedule II narcotics.
  • Suspicious Person, East Washington St., reference to a complainant hearing someone knock on her door and not knowing who it was. Her grandson was trying to get a ride from father who was also asleep. All ok.
  • Dispute, Birch St., Subject was intoxicated and lost his handgun and blamed his girlfriend.  The handgun was located in his boot. He was advised to go to bed.
  • EMS Assist, Plaza Dr., reference to subject smoking marijuana laced with an unknown substance. Subject was taken to Piedmont/Walton due to elevated vital signs.
